Frankie Fox Pretty Much Says It All..
America must decide how much we can afford to spend, and then stop spending any more. The Donkeys are either people who are rich beyond avarice, but did not work for it, or people who fear what little they have been given will be taken away.. Everybody else worked for whatever riches they have and, even the very successful, are deeply suspicious of a government which takes from the producers and gives it to the non-producers.

So, exactly how much public good can we afford?
  • We've known since the '70's that public housing didn't work. But, until 2006, we didn't know that public guaranteed mortgaged homes didn't work, either. Do we get rid of that?
  • Astute economists have never trusted Keynes, ever since Friedman ripped him a new one, back in the 70's. But the Donkeys thought we could borrow and spend our way out of fiscal dilatancy. Even when you showed them how their ideas just sucked, they didn't care.

We are in this position because the majority of Americans - not a third or a quarter - MOST Americans are tired of Congress spending as they will and then lying in order to defend their actions. It is important to know that the TEA party movement is populated with most of these people.

We have seen churches, one by one, fold to the temptation to let the state do their charity work - hand out goodies to beneficiaries. They have forgotten that THEY are supposed to be the ones collecting voluntary funds and administrating it among the truly poor, NOT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Do we want a third world government where half the people can't get jobs and those that have them remain envious of the few who are making it? Do we want a world where "fairness" is defined as "theft?"

Our Answers are a Fair Tax, spend on good roads, good soldiers, cops, & judges, good schools of choice, and good colleges and Tec Schools, and the very rare help for people who's circumstance is horrific - medicine for the destitute, kidney machines, and advanced cancer treatments. We can afford these things as a state. Everything else is extra.

One thing for sure is that we can no longer afford to follow federal mandates for just about anything. We have 7,500 workers who have some crappy civil service job which gets funding from the Feds. How did we allow this to happen? We all know.. Our stupid education system fails so horribly that we have to hire re-teachers with federal money. That's gotta stop, along with all the other bone-headed "fairness" ideas.

Make up your mind to oppose any more federally funded programs. If they're that good, we as a state should pay for them. Many of them are not, and have been sneaked into schools and public programs by using federal funds.

No be a grown-up, and call or text or email your two senators and you congressman and tell them to stick to fiscal sanity until blood comes from the eyes of the donkeys.

I'm just sayin'..

Time to Turn The Tables on the Donkeys
Send an eMail, Facebook or Tweet to a Progressive Senator - ask them why they won't cooperate?

You also might want to ask them why they let Obama lie so horribly about the GDP each quarter.

For what it's worth
If we extend our credit limit, as the Donkeys want, WITHOUT a meaningful push to reduce real spending, our debt WILL be downgraded.

As Charles Krauthammer says: "The House legislates, the President talks, the Senate kills."

Sin, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama
DON'T YOU DARE BE ANGRY WITH THE REPUBLICANS OR THE TEA PARTIERS! THE Progressives HAVE OFFERED BUPKISS FOR TWO WHOLE YEARS! IT'S THE Progressives' WHO HAVE FAILED TO HELP THE ECONOMY AND THIS STALL IS JUST ANOTHER PART OF THEIR FAILURE! THE TWO SIDES ARE NOT EQUAL IN CONTENT! REID'S BILL DOES NOTHING TO HELP OUR ECONOMY - IT ONLY HELPS THE Progs POLITICALLY.

When presented with the chance to do a moral act, the actor's refusal to act is a sin. St. Thomas Aquinas, a much clearer thinker than Barack Obama and a much more moral thinker than Harry Reid, thought so. And if Lindsey Graham can see the fault in the inaction of Obama and Reid, then it must be so.

NOW HEAR THIS, you broadcasters - there IS leadership in the Senate and the House! It comes from South Carolina. DeMint, Graham, Gowdy, & Scott are giving some of the most clear-headed, well-presented direction for any nation seeking redemption from the wickedness of reckless extravagance.

If Obama and Reid want a compromise, it's time for THEM to give up their dreams of a political win. THEY need to compromise. So far, they have simply watered America with their effluent. This time, it's the Progressives' Mess.

and.. for what it's worth
Micah Dahl Anderson's song written for the Little Giant Ladder commercial (it IS an excellent ladder) is a rip-off of Françis Cabrel's "Edition Spéciale," which was used in a scene in the movie, Broadcast News.

They Think We're Stupid
Boy, do they think we're stupid. And when you look at Jay-Walking on the Jay Leno Show, you may think so too.

The Press Secretary for the Obama Administration has just pretended that they are reasonable people - that NOTHING Obama or his cohorts in the Donkey Party have done has gotten us to this fiscal point. That it's all the Republicans fault. And, for the most part, the clowns in the Whitehouse Press Corps just ate it up! That means that the majority of people will hear BS again, tonight.

Here are the facts:
1.) Obama - who has not been in the fight except the past two weeks - has proposed no written budget for two whole fiscal years.
2.) The Progressives have proposed no written budget for two whole fiscal years.
3.) The Republicans have proposed four separate written budgets, ALL of which have been stopped in the Progressive controlled Senate.
4.) Obama has declared that nothing which actually reverses the stupidity of his "health" bill will get past his desk.
5.) Obama AND Reid have already been caught in 5 specific lies concerning this mess.
6.) The large majority of Americans, especially those of us who pay income taxes, do not want to pay any more.
7.) Half of the country, who pay no income taxes, do not want to pay their fair share.
8.) The TEA partiers want to erase the egregious rape of their way of life by Obama and the Progressives.
9.) The beneficiaries of the "free money" provided by the rape of the TEA partiers - Progressives, Unions, Welfare Pimps, Jesse Jackson, Jim Clyburn, Communists, and Economic Fascists - want to keep the status quo, and, in some cases, punish people because they are less than complete failures.
10.) Big Banks - which are rich in funny money and poor in gold & silver - want to keep the status quo. 11.) Progressives have no moral center, Republicans are naive, & TEA partiers are seriously unhappy.
12.) Progressives love Big Government & Big Banks as they are easier to control, Republicans love Big Business and small businesses who donate, & TEA partiers love small banks and any kind of business.
13.) Progressives Control The Senate and The Presidency.
14.) The Republicans control The House, and cannot, alone, do anything by themselves, except block stuff.
15.) When it comes to the 14th Amendment, James Clyburn either cannot read or cannot think, however, he is no stranger to usurping the constitution when it adds to his power base.
16.) ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENSES.

Not one of these facts can change until there is another election.

If there are more of us, voting, we will have a more transparent, smaller, more honest government. If there are more of them, voting, we will have shared poverty on a scale known only in hell.

On thing is certain, now. The gold and silver purchased back when we told you to, will be our insurance policy against a stupidly led, stupidly followed majority in Washington.

Another thing is also certain: Obama and Harry Reid are standing in the way of the effort to stave off our fiscal problem by not compromising. And with those people in leadership, all we can do, right now, is create a band-aid.

Thumbsuckers
"We need to work together, ... but we will not support your bill."

That's a quote from the Progressives in the Senate. Do you really think the Republicans are the bad guys?

Poor Charleston! Col. Gawd goes up to Summerville, every year, to get away from the malaria fever. This is why the Holy City floods every Summer. It also might have something to do with the fact that surrounding cities & Counties growth creates more asphalt and cement surfaces which cause faster water runoff and greater flooding.

Remember how they sold us the idea of "consolidated" area planning, saying it was going to help? As Presidential candidate, Herman Cain would say, "How's that working out for ya?"

Market Mayhem
Don't be too quick to think that the Stock market is falling because of the immutability of government over the debt ceiling and spending. It's more about the US Dollar. Marketers are beginning to realize that when it comes to funny money, which the WHOLE WORLD uses, the US has all the marbles - we got the guns to enforce our money. With the US dollar stronger, all that foreign investment profit goes away.

I'm GUESSING that silver will retrace recent gains, but it will be a great time to buy at $32 - $36/oz. Gold is overpriced at 1600/oz., anyway.

Also remember, this is what happens when government tries to solve market problems. Elections do matter.

No Compromise?
As we have pointed out several times in this column, we are not using money with any real value. Our currency has an imaginary value. Only coinage of precious metal and the abolition of paper money will return us to a pre-currency-manipulation era.

UNTIL THEN (and this is important), DEBT CEILINGS AND CENTRAL BANKS HAVE TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT. IF WE DO NOT STOP SPENDING, OUR CREDIT RATING WILL FALL.

A real compromise must include real spending cuts on pet projects (yes, I know what I'm saying) and social programs, taxes must not be increased, and consistent policy must be enforced.

Sports Leak!
Now, I'm not saying that I approve of
Coach Mangus relieving himself around a corner from a downtown capital pub, but still, in public. Nor should we deny Coach Spurrier the right and obligation to suspend him, pending a full investigation of the facts. All I'm saying is that, ironically, he was expressing a sentiment consistent with conservative public opinion of current Columbia governance.

July 26, 2011
Alright, This Is Abusive Behavior
Please, God, not another speech from Barack Obama! What a complete waste of time!

He doesn't have the Constitutional right to absolve the debt ceiling. The only Constitutional thing he can do is either sign or not sign or veto the budget. In any case, he can be overruled by our bicameral legislature.

Harry Reid can talk all he wants, trying to damn Republicans, but he is losing his grip on the Senate - many of whose members are beginning to agree with the blue dog Progressives - and he knows it. Under the Lame Media whitewashed calm, a furious paddling duck is having a denouement with the plot of its senatorial existence. Reid will blink. Obama knows this.

So we get a campaign speech and a rah-rah from Reid. Selfish. Personal. Full of fear.

Boehner had to re-teach the Lamers about s-p-e-n-d-i-n-g. Hope a lot of people heard Jim DeMint on Greta, afterwards. If you have the time, (I know YOU work for a living), send him and Lindsey and your local Congressman an email, saying you support them in their fight to lower spending. Everybody except Jim Clyburn will listen.

Bad Obama! Bad Harry! Sit!

I read the transcripts.. watched "The Universe," instead.. multiverse string theory makes far more sense than a desperate Progressive.

And, no, DON'T ANYBODY from this state COMPROMISE.

Yawn! Play Ball! The unions win, the owners blink, and we all have to pay more for pro football tickets. You know, just like car prices and taxes. Thank You, Unions!

A Genuine Psychological Illness
In the proposed DSM V, the bible of the psychiatric world, a "Sociopath" is someone with "Antisocial personality disorder" (ASPD)

A) There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15 years, as indicated by three or more of the following:
    1). failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest;
    2). deception, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure;
    3). impulsiveness or failure to plan ahead;
    4). irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults;
    5). reckless disregard for safety of self or others;
    6). consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations;
    7). lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another;
B) The individual is at least age 18 years.
C) There is evidence of conduct disorder with onset before age 15 years.
D) The occurrence of antisocial behavior is not exclusively during the course of schizophrenia or a manic episode.
New evidence points to the fact that children often develop Antisocial Personality Disorder as a cause of their environment, as well as their genetic line. The individual must be at least 18 years of age to be diagnosed with this disorder (Criterion B), but those commonly diagnosed with ASPD as adults were diagnosed with Conduct Disorder as children. The prevalence of this disorder is 3% in males and 1% from females, as stated from the DSM IV-TR.

Yes, of course there are SOME Republicans who fit this, too. Nixon comes to mind. Lincoln. Taft. But the LARGE MAJORITY of Republicans are dreamers and idealists.

Now, admit it, when you listen to Progressives, recently, how many of these qualifications can you pick out?

So, if politicians are only one psychological step from being paedaphiles, and most Progressives are sociopaths, whom do you think the public trusts? The abusers, of course. And that's classic psychology, too. The abused victim almost always returns to the abuser. And, of course, there's always "Stockholm Syndrome" to explain those who are glued to the Lamestream Media.

A Memory of the Past
Some devilish friends of mine have been doing a survey amongst their highly-placed Progressive friends. They slyly get them to talk about their view of the pending government punt. What they're talking about is how Clinton shut down the Republicans way back when. As the conversation goes on, they tell me that that's about all they've got - a memory of the past.

My friends, who are doing this gratis, by the way, then get their Progressive friends "all excited," as we say in the South, asking them to talk about their plan. The conversation comes to an abrupt halt. So far, this has happened each time. EACH TIME!

Since I know that the people being interviewed receive daily emails on what to say from National Progressive headquarters, This can only mean one thing - Progressives do no have a plan to help the economy, only a plan to make them look good as they keep everything exactly the same.

Remember that Obama is Lincoln. Lincoln felt absolutely no compunction about lying, if it got him to his objective. He was going to forgive the South before Stevens and Sumner arranged to have him killed. Obama is doing everything he can to get re-elected. THAT is his mission, NOT to help America, except as a step to consolidate power.

Now, as to the debt ceiling thing, we cannot solve this problem overnight. At least, not as long as there is a Progressive majority anywhere in national government.

Of course, we want to go back to a precious metal exchange system. That would end the necessity of a central bank and a world bank. BUT AS LONG AS WE ARE PLAYING WITH FUNNY MONEY, WE HAVE TO HAVE BIG INTERNATIONAL BANKS WITH NO DEBT LIMITS. (The real Jekyll Island problem).

We have to keep this wheezing, stupid monetary system going until we can rid this country of the putrid Progressives and their incestuous government-business system.

I'm just sayin'.

Another Day, Another Train Wreck
No, we're not talking about the presidency, although we could. No, this is about a real train wreck.
This time, it's a bullet-train in China. Over thirty people are known dead, so far. Another mistake by the Chinese government.

The question to ask is, "Why do we persist in favoring a mode of travel that has been outmoded for over 50 years?" The answer is not easy in coming. It may be that the people in charge are wedded to a dream of power. Why should they not control the way the masses move about in our country?

The obvious reason is that trains are against everything that makes America free. Real Americans like to go where and when they want. Trains, by their very nature cannot do that. They must go where a central plan tells them to go. People have to adjust their schedule to its schedule.

Now, a car.. that's an American thing. freedom to go where we list. Anything less is almost anti-American. Trains are a menace to a civilized society. They are a tool of uncivilized society.

READ THIS, PLEASE..
Go here.. read this story about a mom. Think about chipping in a little... Thank you.

Dear, Pampered Yankees: SHUT UP!!
It's SUMMERTIME, people. On average, it's not as hot as it was in the late 1880's. Or 2005 - even by the Russian's phony numbers. Not even nearly as humid, either.

We Southerners know the virtues of air conditioners. Old people and babies don't do well in the heat. If you've got "air," and you live in one of those filthy cities you tolerate for no real reason, or "heat sinks," as we like to call them, ask in an old lady. She is likely not to kill you, and you might just save her life.

Better yet, call your mom and check on her!

How Stupid Are We?
Gas has gone back up 35¢. Why are we not running our cars on Natural Gas? We have more of it that any other country. It's embarrassingly cheap - about ¼ of what gasoline coasts. NatGas lets us keep our current, powerful, cars with a simple $500.00 conversion (if that much). Why are we waiting? NatGas or LP gas. Why are we waiting? WE CAN CONVERT!   NOW! Are we just stupid?

Aaannnnddddd....
Did you notice that those who are squealing the most about losing their free ride are Progressives - especially Northern and Pampered Western Progressives? (Technically, any Progressive stronghold in Florida IS a Northern State)

One More Thing..
All those who consider themselves survivalists or survival apologists should pay more attention to science. They would find that Asteroid 2005-YU55 has a much better chance of slamming into the Earth than Comet Elenin or Apophis.

On November 8th, according to our friends at SpaceWeather.com, the two-football- field-size fragment will come closer to the Earth than the Moon (0.8 Lunar Distance [LD]). If astronomers have not taken its anti-linear perturbations into account, it could get close enough to be captured as a satellite, or even hit the Earth.

Also, while you're there, you can check out the lack of sunspot activity and the increase in solar coronal holes - mounting real scientific evidence that we may be beginning another little ice age. The scientific evidence is not there yet, but the patterns do repeat, historically, and it's getting closer and closer to the historical solar/geological weather pattern that killed off the Vikings who had settled in Greenland.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!

Big Banks, Weeping
Anyone who thinks there are only two sides in our national argument on debt is uninformed.

Besides the four distinguishable political divisions among the parties of mostly freedom, control, mostly control, and outright nannyism, there is the party of Very Big Business. These are the businesses which are "Zorg Industries" large.

In the movie, The Fifth Element, one of my favorite science fiction movies, the 23rd century is a fascist's dream - mostly clueless, happy people, cramped into impossibly small living spaces, living

either by having a pitifully small and poor business, living on unemployment, or working for one of a few worldwide businesses, which are in an incestuous relationship with a worldwide government. Economy heating up? - call Zorg and ask him to fire a few hundred thousand or so. Slowing down? - take some more taxes from Zorg to pay for the dole. Pretty much what de Toqueville warned about. Basically, nobody left to argue about it.

And this next is really important - money is totally fiat - that is, MONEY'S VALUE IS ASSUMED, NOT WEIGHED.

The scary part about all of this is that the scenario of The Fifth Element was supposed to be futuristic fiction, but it is real, today.

Today, we pretend that our money has value. Instead, the value of our money is determined by what bettors hope it will buy. That's not the way money needs to be. Money needs to be, on average, the value against which everything else is judged, not the other way around, as Keynes pretended it to be.

Now consider the biggest business of all - Banking.

Banks deal in debt. It's how money-lenders have made money down through the milleniæ. That, in itself, is a good thing - capitalism at its best: Lend value at interest. Borrow value. Create value which equals debt plus interest, or value plus value. Value is increased for both lender and borrower.

Small banks, small businesses work exactly like this.

But if the banks are big enough, THEY determine the value of their value. The resulting temptation to adulterate their money (their value, if you will) is too great, and inflation is the result. Or depression. So the big banks have adulterated the money (greenbacks not based on precious metals) and have to PRETEND that their adulterated money has a value greater than paper. The bigger the organization, the more people you can fool. The bigger the organization, the more likely to be intimately involved with big government, and the more likely big government

What you are seeing on your TV or computer, is the howling of very big banks and federal bankers at the non-Progressives who want to see them operate with real money. THEY will be very hurt, if the borrowing ceiling is not raised. We may be inconvenienced, if we've invested conservatively, but THEY WILL BE VERY,VERY HURT. They haven't had time to recapture their bad loans, and make up for stupid decisions, and they still need time to raise money for their future operations.

And don't be misled. S&P, Moody's, and other ratings services are simply tools of these bankers. They will be honest ONLY when it benefits THEM.

Now, South Carolina's debt is not dependent on the Federal government, regardless of what you hear. We have and will pay our bills - we have a balanced law. The only credibility lost, if these rating services downgrade our debt, is the credibility of those services themselves.

"'Necessity' is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves."
-William Pitt, the younger.

"All power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority..."
-John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton, Lord Acton, (1st Baron of Acton)

"Extensive powers not exercised as far as was necessary have, I believe, scarcely ever failed to ruin the possessor.

Brits on a Spit
Fact-finding parliamentary inquiry? Nah. Just a bunch of corrupt politicians trying to score political points. Watching the various parties' Politicians refuse to ask the person in Murdoch's company who actually knew the little bits of what went on, showed, plenteously, that portions of England's parliament are as corrupt and time wasting as the American Progressives in Congress. It also clearly shows that British politicians don't know how large international corporations work.

It's also evident that they are discussing events which occurred years ago. In addition, there was a visceral hatred of Australians (not just Murdoch) that were manifested, today, by Labour and Scottish MPs. This is not to excuse anything done wrong by London's News of The World (now shut) or any other part of News Corporation.

It was fun listening to all the different British accents, though. BS sounds so much more entertaining with a fine Scottish accent.

Profiles in Cowardice
If there is one phrase which America needs to embrace, it has to be, "Stop spending." But there are problems.

Because of their inveterate cowardice, politicians have a deep-seeded need to chain voting groups to themselves. They justify this cowardice by saying they're doing what they have to do in order to "help" or to "save" one voting group or another. The result is that Congress has promised too much to match the dependency they need to create, in order to feel secure.

And it really is that simple.

Now comes the Taxed Enough Already folks who have tried to remind these same cowardly lions that they have promised to much. Literally half the country contributes only to social security and medicare - and that number is FALLING because of more promises by the cowards of Congress.

But, since the media Lamers are as addicted to this perversion as the politicians themselves, they make fun of the TEA folks like a drug addict makes fun of people who suggest they have a drug problem.

Remember, we are talking about people who fall into two specific categories simultaneously: pedophiles and drug addicts.

We have been consistent on both matters, pointing out from the beginning, and almost every month since, these same pathologies exhibited by mostly Progressives and some Republicans. The only difference between pedophiles and most politicians is that most politicians predate everyone, not just children. Most psychiatric pathological evaluation points to the attempt to achieve sexual pleasure by dominance over helpless individuals. In Pedophiles, its pre-pubescent children In Hebephiles, it's early pubescent children. The proposed DSM-V classifies the disease as Pedohebephilia - an interpersonal psychiatric pathology. Political power is the same kind of animal. Clinically, this may be the scientific justification of Acton's Axiom.

So, to begin with, most politicians are, by nature, social deviants. Social abuse by people such as Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, Jesse Jackson is frequent and notable, and to get to where they can exercise the most power and be the most intimidating, they promise their "base" monetary benefits they cannot possibly deliver on. Except for a very few, the "base" these people depend on contribute nothing to the society and drain the society. You know these people - they're the ones who dropped out of high school, thinking they could get a good job, anyway. They're the ones who, when bad luck came to their door, after they had mourned whatever loss it was, slumped back instead of raising to the challenge. They're the ones who didn't bother to return even a little bit of the loan you gave them. People with absentee fathers and coked-up mothers or absentee sons and daughters.

Only half of this nation pays taxes. You want to talk about "fairness"? Talk about that.

Of course, there are people with genuine bad luck, and churches, synagogues, and voluntary social organizations COULD take care of those, but thanks to the social deviants in the progressive movement, it's now easier to lie and say we're ALL helping. Problem is, only half of us are helping, and the lies are being ignored, as the number of helpers dwindles.

To sum up, the American citizen is dealing with a bunch of perverts in government and media who are addicted to their power and the lies they've told to maintain that power and too cowardly to try to improve themseves.

As a society, then, how do we deal with perverts, liars, and addicts? We get those people as far away from us as we can afford. We gather to us people such as Jim DeMint, Herman Cain, Paul Ryan, Rand Paul, statesmen whose aim is to protect the rule of law.

And, for the others, I still like shunning as a remedy. We get that chance in 2012. And it may well be the end of the world for either the progressives or us.

And One Other Thing: Regardless of what we do with the debt ceiling, Moody's and S & P will probably downgrade US debt, anyway. My sources are saying that the President has lost the faith of most rating agencies by using their bullying tactics on them.

Sunday Fantasies
If you saw Chris Wallace's Fox News Sunday, and heard Congressman Chris van Hollen (D), then you know why Progressives have put the country in such bad shape over these past four years. Here's a grown man trying to argue politics when faced with economic problems. Kind of like discussing a leak in your john boat (Jawn BO-uht - a Lowcountry pirot or duck boat with flat, but slightly wider, bow and stern), instead of fixing it.

van Hollen let slip that Progressives want to tax small businesses because that's where the real money is. They just don't want to say it in public, and he didn't mean to say it, but he did, and that's that. Small business also happens to be where most of the jobs are created. When I owned my own businesses, I created 14 jobs. I can remember having to fire people because of tax increases by both Nixon AND Carter. And both Presidents thought they were helping the economy!

My companies, together, grossed nearly a million dollars. But after expenses, travel, and salaries, there was only about 270K a year, left, and that was thrown into a hardship fund. When the Nixon/Ford tax hit, I had to fire people, because my companies, together, were considered "rich," and my hardship fund was bled dry.

Now, I'm not saying that's what's going to happen this time to every small business, because each business is an individual entity with separate challenges. But it will happen, one way or another. THAT's why small businesses are afraid to invest in Obama's America.

In the back of the minds of MANY citizens in this country is the threat that an America in chains is a place to emigrate from. So, we retired most of the Republicans responsible. But, if we want the US to remain a good place to live, we must remain solvent. That means Progressives must be STOPPED from spending. And, frankly, that means they need to be sent home for good. But in the meantime, we need to continue to push Obama and his prostitutes in DC to show just how shallow and economically threatening he is.

The Uber-Spenders Are Our Enemies
Don't be mislead. RAISING our national debt ceiling WILL NOT insure the safety of our credit rating.

Of course you're not going to hear that from the "LAMERS" (lame, mainstream media outlets.) They have too much invested in government loans (NBC, MSNBC, CNBC), government friends (NYT, ABC, Disney, Gannett), or ego (CBS, ESPN.)

The ONLY thing that will insure our credit is to STOP SPENDING. No more corporate welfare - no more welfare babies, no more public housing, no more Medicaid except for dire, dire emergencies. We spend ONLY what we take in. But first, we need to pay back the money we've borrowed from the elderly and promised to the insured sick. And we MUST implement a tax that EVERYONE PAYS.

It's time to vote out EVERYONE who cannot line up behind people like Jim DeMint and Paul Ryan. We cannot afford anything less.

July 15, 2011
Pestilence as Political Theatre
Have you noticed how the national press has allowed the Progressives to reverse the discussion, saying the non-Progressives, especially the Republicans, are irresponsible and don't want the US to be solvent? Can you imagine? They steal our money and then call us irresponsible because we won't forge them for it!

Please remember, it was the conservatives of all stripes, including Republicans, who first showed how irresponsible the Progressives - Obama included - were, by their reckless spending, especially their mindless stimulus and irresponsible nationalizing health takeover bill.

Well, now, they have trotted out Timothy Geithner to lie some more for them.

What he said about the debt ceiling is, simply, false. He is lying, just as he lied to President Bush. Our Money is worthless, and only the thin patina of imagination of our international banks and our powerful army are holding it up.

There is still time to put Obama and his clowns in their place - on a plane back to Chicago. Don't be misled.

Oh, and Bill O'Reilly is wrong about this. But, at least, he has an excuse. He still thinks our money is worth something. I'm just sayin'..

27 years ago, Today..
My best friend and I got married at a beautiful Church ceremony in the Upstate. I know it was a marriage because we couldn't afford a civil union. And we've been happily married and uncivilly ceremonious ever since. Happy Bastille Day, Too!

In the Mood-y's
Moody's Bond Rating Service DID NOT SAY they were lowering our debt rating if we didn't raise our debt ceiling. They specifically said they were looking at our ability to HANDLE our debt - not even the same thing. Bloomberg's headline and first half of their story is a little misleading.
Read all the way down and it becomes quite evident that, when it comes to economics, it is the Progressives who are too scared to potty alone, metaphorically speaking. They can definitely see the dark figures, waiting for them, at the end of the poorly lit lane. Waiting. Waiting.

Quaem Queritas?
We all know that Mitch McConnell is a conservative. We also know that he is a brilliant politician. We also know that Obama has steadfastly REFUSED, for two years, to do his constitutional duty and lay out a budget. But, if McConnell's plan to throw, short-term, the total budget responsibility onto the shoulders of a president passes, it could spell doom for Our Republic.

Remember, that the average life of a republic from conception to ruin is about 200 years. The US is about 35 years older than the average. Already, we are seeing the impirafication [new word: making of a republic into a dictatorship or monarchy (from Latin - imperator. Roman generals were always feared as possible dictators, for good reason)] of The United States.

Quick history lesson: The Romans kept trying to solve problems of inflation/deflation cycle in both politics and the economy. The final result was the voting of too much power to one person. By doing this, Rome sealed its doom from without and within as people lost faith in the strength of Roman power and justice.

People have already lost faith in the government of the US, both without and within. It is a legacy of every President, from Wilson to W; and Obama, whatever he is, has done everything in his power to increase this lack of faith. Now, with the power of the purse transferred to the office of the President, even if for a short amount of time, a precedent will be set, even more dangerous than the bureaucracy which confuses and manipulates most of this country.

Yes, the bureaucracy must be ended, too. But more importantly, the precedent of consolidating monetary functions and obligations into one arm of government, alone, is historically dangerous and should not be allowed. Great politics. Very, very, very bad government.

So, whom do we seek for relief from our monetary damnation? The guy who will give us a quick fix? a political gotcha? Or do we admit our sins, dig down deep, and admit that Obama is not "the Way," and that we need to follow our own, enlightened self-interest - have Jim DeMint, Ran Paul, Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, and Herman Cain as our spokespersons.

Another Thing
News Corp has a bad child. They have killed their bad child. But how much worse is News Corps than, say, The New York Times, when they printed the stolen government documents. Both stole their information and neither were right. But the NYT is still around, while The World is dead, and News Corp can't buy back all of its stock in BSkyB.

One More Thing
If the NLRB is so honest, why do you think they won't release the emails and paperwork surrounding the Boeing-South Carolina case? Do I REALLY have to explain this?

GO ASK ALICE, MMKAY?
Cheshire Cat: If I were looking for a white rabbit, I'd ask the Mad Hatter.
Alice: The Mad Hatter? Oh, no no no...
Cheshire Cat: Or, you could ask the March Hare, in that direction.
Alice: Oh, thank you. I think I'll see him...
Cheshire Cat: Of course, he's mad, too.
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
Cheshire Cat: Oh, you can't help that. Most everyone's mad here. - You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself.

That's the classical version. Here's the modern version:

Obama: If I were looking for economic answers, I'd ask Tim Geithner.
Alice: Tim Geithner? Oh, no no no...
Obama: Or, you could ask Ben Bernanke, in that direction.
Alice: Oh, thank you. I think I'll see him...
Obama: Of course, he's mad, too.
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
Obama: Oh, you can't help that. Most everyone's mad here. - You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself.

Not much change..

Laying Yet Another Trap
Every pundit I listen to - which is three - is warning that the Progressives are setting a trap for Republicans. And unlike most of what they do, this one might work.

It's simple. The Republicans, operating from a ethical point of view, have declared that there will be absolutely no tax increases in the budget battle, and there probably shouldn't be a raising of the debt ceiling, either.

So, what are the Progressives doing? They are using their megaphone, the mainstream media, in an effort to make Republicans look unreasonable. All they have to do is just agree to one or two little tax increases and everybody can declare a win and go home.

Isn't compromise what Congress is all about? - say the Progressives, who have trouble discerning what an "ethic" is, anyway.

However, if, in a fit of cooperation, the Republicans agree to an increase in even a tax on bubblegum, it will be enough to ruin them.

The people sent the Conservatives to Congress to do only a few things. One of them was to cut spending, NOT raise taxes. The Progressives know that for Re4publicans, even a tax on bubblegum would lead to disaster, much less, raising on the debt ceiling.

Fortunately. all the Conservatives have to do is stick together, focus on their purpose, remember their ethics, and realize that whatever the Progressives say, all they really mean is that they're scared to death that, just as they've impoverished the nation, the voters they've created can't be bought because they've lost their federal credit card.

The New New New New Progressives
Trying to rise from one of the stupidest Senatorial campaigns in Palmetto State history, the silly people in the Progressive party are now trying to rebrand their same old "lame 'n' blame" politics by calling themselves, "The South Carolina New Progressives." But when you listen to Phil Noble from the country of Charleston (and yes, it IS another country. I know. Our people are from there), you know they will fail.

The so-called "reform" group may have been started by a really good man, Gov. Dick Riley, it's adopted all the old, wrong ideas.

The call for "planning" is what's really frightening. What it sounds like is a bunch of elitists, playing chess, with regular SC folks as the pawns. It's like "Ten at the Top," or "Vision 2025," or any other group trying to raise the standard of living without realizing they'll only be raising the cost of living.

It's not that there should not be some planning - such as far-seeing highway construction and decent decentralized, competitive public education - but this five-year Russian-style hogwash will only put us deeper and deeper in debt.

The other really silly idea is that we should be more like one of the PIIGS nations (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Spain), who are so pitifully in debt, thanks to their "planning." "Irish Miracle" was based on totally unsound monetary policy. Good intentions. Poor understanding. One can only shake a head in sorrow that the best the Progressives can do is this 1930's socialism espoused by Phil Noble.

They laugh at non-Progressives because they have ideals. Really? Rather, it is the empty man who has no ideals. It is the empty man who operates merely as an opportunist. The empty man creates desperation where there is none.

Our State isn't perfect. And good ideas are always needed. But there is nothing noble about this Progressive, except the name - certainly not with any plan that helps, except to enrich himself and his elitist, liberal friends.

You know.. the kind of people whose "planning" got us into Vietnam..

More Bamanamanomics
I don't suppose "I told you so" carries much weight, these days. It seems as if every time Obama, or one of his troupe of silly people, tries one of his tired old ideas which doesn't work, his poor shill comes out before the White House press corps and does a little dance. One almost wonders why none of them explodes from carrying that much dirt.

So, now, we have another go-round. 9.2% unemployment. Surely it's much more than that in the Northern rustbelt and the western liberal states. Over 14-Trillion dollars in an ever-spiralling national debt. 49.8% of Americans who pay no tax at all. People who are here illegally demanding free public services. All because people thought government could solve the problems of life.

Well, it can't. Only a system which can work when everyone is selfish will work. That's unbridled capitalism. It's ugly, and often coarse, but it can also be beautiful, ironic, even salvational. There must be rules, but there can be few rules, and even less government.

And it is doable.

Cowboys and Aliens
Can't wait to see James Bond, Indiana Jones, and Number 13 in a rip-snorting SciFi-western. The premise may be beyond silly, but it's got to be fun. And right now, fun is exactly what we can all use some of.

New Book
He already has one best-seller under his belt. This time, Senator Jim DeMint, friend of this column and friend to your pocketbook, writes about the tempestuous two years between the 2008 and 2010 elections.

This candid look at

the Tea Party reformation movement is an important read, but more than that, a read that every South Carolinian should take up. Every one.

I'm perpetually amazed that we have a guy representing us who deeply understands what being an American means. Don't take my word for it. Read the book and find out for yourself.

Business Channels Getting Dumb?
The silliness of CNBC and Fox Business News has gone past the believability point. You see what they're doing - the "Wow, look how high the DOW is going! Look how bullish the market is!"

It's just plain silly. There is absolutely no real volume to the market. I know I keep harping on this, but eventually, somebody is going to believe me. The Price to Earnings Ratio cannot sustain itself on this pitiful volume. Even if the earnings are valid, the real money ISN'T going into the market. IT'S JUST NOT THERE!

The point is that when the market makes this kind of move, the only people who get hurt are day traders and small traders. To the big-money people who are driving the market, it will be a burp. A thousand point drop won't be peanuts to them, but, it won't be a tragedy, either. People such as George Soros can sweat these falls. Normal people can't.

Why can't the usually hip business channels see this?

Just a little Too Convenient
Don't you find it just a little bit suspicious that the IMF leadership has been changed in such an obviously crude manner? Was it a setup? Our FBI, in the past, has done things just like this to civil rights leaders. The fact that Strauss-Kahn is a French socialist, is being mentioned only for the fact that he probably won't be able to clear things up before he runs for French President on the Socialist ticket.

We know that Tuesday, the daughter of an important Socialist party leader is claiming that Strauss-Kahn tried to assault her. Frankly, if he did, he has no taste. Nevertheless, it seems just a little too convenient for the daughter to bring charges, now that the put-up case against Strauss-Kahn in New York is falling apart.

Yes, he's French, so who cares? Well, the new IMF director is not a socialist, she is an economic fascist - a buddy capitalist, if you will - and she is a real favorite of Obama. That by itself should make anyone with sense suspicious.

We're making no charges, yet. When the investigations are finished, then we will say for sure. 'Til then.. "a wary eye hurts no good man."

The Casey Anthony Case Verdict
The State of Florida had no real case. They almost had no body. Anyone with even an idea of the scientific method would have acquitted. We still do not know what happened to the child. But we have never known. And we will probably never know, this side of the Great River.

So It Begins
Remember that we warned you about China's economy being a paper tiger

- that there was too much wrong with having a Communist leadership and a capitalist under-economy? Well it's all starting to come apart.

Moody's is squirming like a four year old needing a potty-call over the possible insolvency of loans to China's local governments. They were quick to point out - as Moody's often does - that they don't really expect anything bad to happen, but why bother with the look-out if nothing is wrong?

Laying Obama's Ego To Rest
Thank you Barack Hussein Obama! You've tried to make America a second rate country! And Bill Clinton was your prophet. In the 1990's, Mr. Nether Regions prophesied that we would need the rest of the world when we lost world supremacy. Now, because of your actions and ideas, we are close to being that third world country, with third world debt, third world science, third world education, and now, a third world space effort.

Until several years from now and a new president, if we want to participate in the glory of manned space flight, we will have to hitch a ride with other countries who were wise enough

to continue their manned space programs. Russia comes to mind. And as we realize the sadness of your bad ideas, you spur us to thank you for reminding us just what failures your liberal ideas are. Even our masculinity has become feminized to the point of cowardice in the face of hard decisions.

Thanks to you, we continue to suffer humiliation in the eyes of the world. Thanks to your relativism, we are in danger of becoming a lesser people. The eyes of our enemies

are already filled with the hope of our failure. And their voices already rise in shouts of glee at our perceived pitiful state. Nevertheless your whores waste the land in search of lazy wealth and bully honest people to get it.

But the time for honoring yourself, Barack Hussein Obama, your jackboots, and your brown-shirt bully tactics, are coming to an end.

America will rise again. We will regain our honor. We will regain our vision and our purpose. We will forget this time of world humiliation which this creature from a corrupt city has brought upon this land - free of his curse. We do not need this man, nor do we want him, nor his judges, nor his senators, or any other liar that runs with him.

And, in the end, we, alone, We, The People, will be responsible for our own behavior, our own wealth, our own freedom, and our own honor. And we shall be great. Again.

God Bless America!

From one old white man to everyone of every origin, every religion, and every philosophy. This is our America. Let's enjoy the freedom that so many different people create! It's what we live for. It's what we die for. God shed his grace on all of us!

..and your little dog, too!!!
Some few people are spending a lot of money to make it look like the stock market is coming back. Do not be fooled. The equivolume (volume of shares versus the amounts gained or lost) is so skinny, it's almost comical. This is a time for super-rich hobbyists, real market timers, and pigs, not bulls and bears. What you are watching is a self fulfilling tragedy in the making.

I'm just sayin'..

A Note From The Heartland
Dear Mr. Obama,
Here's a conversation worth having:
YOU'RE FIRED!
Best regards,
America

Why the invective?

Because the Obama administration has done something so vile that it can only be seen as rotten behavior. His thugs in Homeland Security have actually listed Israel as a country which harbors and protects terrorists.. I kid you not - as Jack Paar used to say.

Fifth Element Chinese Chef saying,
"It says,'YOU ARE FIRED'."

Our best, most loyal friend in the middle east, ISRAEL, a harborer or terrorists? And you better believe HomelandSec is absolutely serious about it.

Israel. Terrorist. So Bebe Netanyahu wasn't kidding when he told some friendly people in Washington, people I happen to know, that he was afraid of what Obama was capable of doing.

Indeed.
