S&O&P
So, S&P is going to lower the US's credit rating if we don't go deeper into debt?

Forget about the lying Progressives shilling the same old fear the rich BS.. This is as crazy as liberal politics can get.. and don't think for one minute this isn't being orchestrated by the left. Their footprints are all over it.

Well, what do you expect from the "friends of Barry?" The real question though, is, if they do lower the ratings, what credibility will S&P have after that? They're already questionable because of their shady relations with Tim Geithner.

Think about what they're saying - if the US stops spending wildly and pays on debt before they pay for welfare cheats to get pregnant, they'll LOWER the bonds ratings. Get that?

Now, what will the Red Queen wear to the next White House Ball?

Oh and one other thing..
The Senate Progressives are just lying about the Mexican gun thing. Most of the guns in Mexico come from Latin American countries whose Governments were given those guns by the American Congress(!), not individual gun-owning American citizens.

Buy Me to the Moon
In times of public funding excess, debt should be paid down. In times of public paucity, debt should be avoided. You'd think people would understand this.

The problem is that the people who head up those well-meaning groups such as the Sierra Club of SC, are quite well to do. Many of them can even be considered movers and/or shakers. They may have an idea what the rest of us are having to put up with, but they have little regard for it - they can afford not to. If they pay the full 7% income tax in bad times, well, they don't sail to Antigua that winter. We have to decide whether to pay the mortgage that month or drive the car to work.

These proper folk are also the people who chant about class warfare and how unfair it is to cut public programs. But what they don't understand is that those very public programs which need to be cut, are the programs that we can't afford - the programs that help them feel important.

Well, I don't want to pay for a famous or famous-feeling South Carolinian to feel better about themselves. All art should be and can be paid for by private persons. The State should own NO public lands - all land should be private. No state should be able to deprive anyone of his or her land for any reason, save felony. In fact, except for education, good roads, good cops and judges, an occasional city park, and a standing militia, we shouldn't be taxed at all.

Pigs Buying
For two days the pigs (as opposed to the bulls or the bears) have been pushing the market upwards. Big money people use these times to sell their worthless stock to the gullible and stupid - the pigs. You can tell it's the pigs, because the volume is really small - 1 Billion shares versus 9 Billion average.

It could be that a few people are pushing the markets, like Soros who's trying to buy up all the judges in liberal states - and being fairly successful at it, it should be noted.

Our dollar is still in jeopardy, Greece will still default, eventually, and supermarket prices are not tracing the downward track of the oil and gasoline prices.

But like all the other upward surges, this one will end in a big downward drop. - Four Full Oinks out of Five on the SwampfoxNews Oink-O-Meter!

I would like my sanity back, please..

Are You A Turtle?
Michele Bachmann is not Herman Cain. If she were, she, too, would be assigned to the political trash pile where really good candidates go, while the pretty, the useless, or the wrong-headed move ahead. She's not as smart as Cain. She makes as many gaffs as Obama, but she doesn't have the national press on her side.

She's not awful. She's actually better than the rest of the political field. Especially, Obromney. But Herman Cain is better. Much better. I will probably support her, were she to win the nomination

But then, I would vote for a turtle over Obama, simply because a turtle would be a better choice. A turtle has style and grace and pathos - everything the current resident of the White House has.

Yet a turtle does not pretend to know how to be the most important executive in the known world. A turtle does not desert the principles on which turtles are generated. A turtle has more existential self expression than Obama. A turtle does not sell out his country or jeopardize his country's treasure.

Michelle Bachmann is better than a turtle. She is better than every other candidate presenting himself for presidential consideration..

- everyone, that is, except Herman Cain.

A New Amendment
Today's Supremes' ruling spurs me to offer a new constitutional amendment.

"No Federal Agency, nor any other unelected Body so constituted, even if representing any Federal Branch, shall have any power to make law, or the power to make rules which have the force of law, neither shall they have the power to command or decree the States to any action denied to them by this amendment to the Constitution of the United States or by any other part or section of the Constitution of the United States."

ARE YOU A FLAKE?
The correct answer should have been, "No more than you or Barack Obama."

It was an appropriate question, though. The problem is that, for Republicans, it's that this sort of question, which is undeniably deserved to be asked of Obama or any Progressive, never is. It isn't fair. But too bad, life isn't fair.

Truth AND Consequences
Since 2002, I have been reporting on the left's concentration-camp, negatory intellect when it came to Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction. It was asserted then, and, for reasons of peace among Americans, falsely admitted to by W, that there were no WMDs. Well there very well may have been, and we may soon have the proof. Not from Iraq, but from the country where the WMDs were moved during the six-month lull before we even started to wage real war against Iraq - Syria.

It may well be that they have taken Saddam Hussein's poison toys of war and developed them to the level we feared he would do. And once again, John Bolton is right in the middle of it. Yet, the hubris of the left continues, but their voices are increasingly hollow.

Utterly, utterly amazing.

Carolina Rocks Virginia for finals CWS berth
More consecutive wins ever in a College World Series as Carolina Sends Virginia Home in 13 innings 3-2. Gators send the Commodores home. 6-4.

Gators - Gamecocks play for the CWB crown starting Monday! Game #1 - 8:00pm ESPN.

(fill in the blank)
If there is one phrase that can be said to be the flagstaff of the Obama Administration it has to be, "We did not expect ___________."

Is there any sane person, other than jaded politicos, who believes that Obama has any idea how to do the things he has attempted to do?

Look Mom! I wrote this.. I believe it is one answer, among many, to combat runaway big government. If you'd like to comment, just go to the "feedback" page, which you can access through the front page. If you think it's worth your while, send it to your Senators and Representative.

"A Proposed New Constitutional Amendment:
No Federal Agency, nor any other unelected Body so constituted, even if representing any Federal Branch or appointed by that branch, shall have any power to make law, or the power to make rules which have the force of law, neither shall they have the power to command or decree the States to any action denied to such body by this amendment to the Constitution of the United States or by any other part or section of the Constitution of the United States."

Recapitulation?
Did we see a "recapitulation" today? Or just the Obama Buddies giving some trade bennies to their friends before July 1, and the new rules? He's meeting, tonight, with a lot of the hedge fund managers who would have benefited from the up/down that happened, today, over the release of 30mm bbls from the International Energy Agency's Emergency Reserve. It wasn't about Lybia. Lybia was already in the mix.

So no, there was no recapitulation, and the market will continue to move sideways, in a wide 1,000 point range, as it has for the past two years. This is a time for puts and calls, not stocks and bonds.

One more thing: this is, historically, the same pattern that occurs in the summer before huge moves downward in the fall - people get suckered into the market, and then it's discovered that there is no "there" there, and it all goes to hell.

Oh, and the Greek Insolvency Problem has NOT been solved.
Today's agreement is just a way to postpone the failure of US's and Europe's $70Billion investment in Greece.

I'm Not Eagerly Awaiting Anything Obama Has to Say, Anymore
Just sayin'..

Why I'm an Eleutherian and not a Libertarian.
To begin with, I believe in free will as a natural expression of the salvific Grace of the Almighty. This means, among many other things, that persons of free will may decide for themselves to join in projects for their mutual benefit. This also means that when the mechanism of joining stops being a projection of the free will of ALL of its members, that group has a MORAL OBLIGATION to DISBAND OR CHANGE ITS PROJECT, regardless of the perceived nobility of its projects.

However, history shows that the size of any group in which every member accedes to the purpose of that group is remarkably small. Look at any mainline Religion. Eventually, there is either a "purification" or a secession, or both. In essence, since there is no idea that is mutually agreed upon by everyone, groups should remain only so large that their members are dedicated to its ideas. Otherwise, you get bare majorities or even large minorities dictating behavior to large numbers of its members.

This is exactly where we are in These United States.

We have an artificial economic recovery which is being pushed onto the majority by a small group of very powerful people. To date, most of those in this majority have been agreeable, or at least, docile. But now that their efforts have been proven clearly NOT to have worked and there are no more tricks in their bag, those who have slept are awakening.

Since 1980, I have had a deep belief in the concept of apparent chaos. Long before it was proven by two wizard British mathematicians, it was evident that statistics and chaos theory were one. So, it is no surprise that today, the Federal Reserve announced that, once again, they had gotten it wrong, and the economy wasn't responding the way they thought it would - or perhaps they should say 'Keynes thought it would.'

As an Eleutherian, I know that the group is too large. As an Eleutherian, I know that Keynes was wrong. As an Eleutherian, I know that the Federal Reserve is a dirty joke, the punchline to which has yet to be uttered.

So, Hoopdie Do: the Fed can't do anything else. Now, either the government backs off, or they get more economically fascist. Which do you think they will do? As an Eleutherian, I know what has to happen, but our fearless leader is a fascist - or more politely a "buddy capitalist." He doesn't even recognize that the economy is shrinking! He certainly won't work to make the group smaller, or at least manageable.

The real question remains - "Will there be an economy left to save when the group pitches its current leadership in favor of new blood?" and perhaps, another - "Will they replace the buddy capitalist with another buddy capitalist? Mitt? Huntsman? or will they man-up and pick a Cain or a Christie or a Perry?"

Eleutherians know the answer to America's problems. But we also know that it is based on the rejection of fear.

A Fool & His Money
Today the market seemed to zoom up. Happy Days! Small problem: no real volume. Now, the "oversold market" may have actually been the correct reflection of the near term market.

When there is little volume, a few big money pigs can drive the market where they will.

Refreshing Honesty and Pathos
Saw Ernie Els's wife on the television coverage of the US Open talking about their son, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. If you don't have a connection with Autism, that's understandable, but it also means you have no idea what the day-to-day stress of dealing with an Autistic child can cause. And that's what makes Mrs. Els's TV interview so remarkable.

Actually she wasn't even talking about her Autistic son, but rather about her daughter, who is healthy. She let slip the politically incorrect and absolutely authentic words which let everyone know that she knew a blessing when she saw it.

Yes, it would have been the PC thing to so to say that the son was a "blessing." But the fact is that those who demand political correctness don't live with the day-to-day, all-encompassing claustrophobia that having an Autistic child can bring to a home. If her son was a blessing, it was the dark blessing that frustration brings in the life lessons it teaches - the blessing that forces us into a one-on-one dialog with the Almighty - the blessing, if you will, of Job.

But there is no closed door that does not have another one, opening. That was the tearful expression of gratitude to that same Almighty who stands by her as she tends to the interminable needs of the son, as she glories in the ease and beauty and intellect and fun of her daughter. She truly knows what "good" is.

Frankly, today's column isn't meant to raise consciousness of Autism Spectrum Diseases. Rather, I have tried to give you a peek into the potential despair and a way to help the parents of those who have Autistic children:

They can use your friendship, your daily support, and, of course, your cash, NOT YOUR PITY. There are several groups raising money for research into the cure for autism, and one University research group is as good as another, since they share their findings.

So, don't get lulled into pathos by all the public relations TV messages. Do the homework and give some cash. And stand by, not pity, a friend with an Autistic child.

Undoing the 60's
From the time I was a small child, I knew that I was different. Being a child actor will do that to you. My parents also blessed me with brains which became my favorite source of entertainment. These two factors caused an incredible skepticism in me. I knew when people were telling me a lie, because it was the same mechanism used in acting.

As a child of the late 40's and 50's, and a member of a moderately conservative Columbia Episcopal Church, my sense of the skeptical was rarely challenged, but there were few people who would willingly argue with me. The usual answer in school was getting beaten up, so I learned to fight with my intellect. I don't know what my teachers would say, because there were only two whom I remember, who had the answers to questions I had. All I remember is that they never beat me up, and my schoolmates did.

I do remember that my teachers thought I had a learning disability. What really was happening was that their "modern" education techniques were boring and called too much on "norming" dumb kids by putting them in with the same class as the "smart" kids.

One Saturday,in the 3rd grade, mother dragged me to what I would later discover was a psychologist.

They gave me a standard IQ test. My score was so high that they could not measure it. To this day, nobody knows what it was - the techniques have changed, and different biases go into the various levels of intelligence - and all I found out, some years ago when I investigated the matter, was that they said was "somewhere above 200."

I have seen panic in the faces of people of science - the fibbers of the global warming myth come to mind. I saw that look in the psychologist's face. At the time, I was told I was being given tests to help me learn better. A week later, I was subjected to the exact same tests. This time, I told the examiner that it was boring and that I wasn't going to do them. I got a 90. They showed me.

So, having learned this lesson about "science" at a very early age, and knowing that a lot of "scientists" are just not smart enough, and knowing that a Doctorate is not necessarily a sign of intelligence, I find almost every plan to do good filled with flaws most people don't see.

Is it arrogant to say I can see things most other people can't? Well, if other people can't see them, then, I guess I am, to them. That's why I cultivate the friendship of people who can see those things.

I know a lot of libertarians, a few conservatives and two 19th-Century-minded liberals. They see what I see. They understand that facts must be proven, in order to be facts. And they also understand that chaos is an expression of the free will of physics.

L. Neil Smith, Joe Bastardi, Tom Clancy, Krauthammer, Limbaugh, Morris and a few others are such people. If you need to listen to someone else, listen to them. The best answer is to figure it out for yourself.

What got me thinking about all of this was another stupid program on the History Channel called "Prophets of Doom." Dumber people have been on TV, but these guys could challenge any group. They were all over-"educated," 60's anti-science, anti-humanity, pathetically angry socialists.

I hope you "saw" it, too. I hope you saw that we have to undo this 60's bad science mentality. All we have to do is ask this one question: "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?" It is the one question liberals hate and the one question real scientists embrace.

If you voted for Tim Scott for Congress, you are being well served.

What an extraordinarily sharp young man he is! If you can log on (It's a very popular website),

Let There Be Peace.. and Wine & Roast Beef!
..between John Stossel and Ann Coulter.

As happens often, Bill O'Reilly, who is a fine gentleman, whose heart is as pure as a man in his position may be, has offered a platform for two idealists to go after each other. We saw such, yesterday.

Here was the spectacle of O'Reilly the Moderate, having two very separate arguments presented and then mangled by himself (speaking in the Irish manner). If you hadn't read the other, you would never know that John Stossel and Ann Coulter actually agree on almost everything.

Stossel, the libertarian, believes, just as Ann Coulter, the conservative does, in a fully vibrant IVth Amendment. While Ann, the Roman Classicist, decries the liberality of sexual morality and Stossel, the Ovidian Eleutherian, doesn't have a problem with it, they both agree that the Judeo-Christian ideal of the Ten Commandments are a perfection of humanitarian ethics as well as the focuser of attention on virtue.

Both Ann and John are intellectuals where Bill is a referee way beyond his pay grade - which he admits. But both have spent their adult lives making the complex understandable.

Admittedly, Ann does not have faith in the basic goodness of humanity - she has bought the Hobbesian maxim that places the fall of Adam as an adamantine truth. And, just as admittedly, John does not have faith in the ability of any salvational system, save that of free will. But they both agree that there must be law for orderly pursuit of legal commerce at ALL levels, an army with the savage ability to frighten our enemies into thinking twice about trying to deprive all our citizens of that possibility of commerce, and an infrastructure which will support and encourage all of that commerce for all of our citizens.

Both also agree that government must be only so large enough as to perform the above tasks.

I have to admit that I agree more with Stossel than I do with Coulter. But in the end, I would rather have dinner with them both, so that we might argue, which is one of my favorite things to do, over a rare roast beef and a large glass of Petit Petite from Lodi.

Pigs Push Market Up, Based on Nothing!
This is like watching a train-wreck in slow motion. The market, today, has gone up on absolutely no value whatsoever. Today was "technical horse manure day." The technical market followers saw a pattern that needed a response. Tomorrow, Wall Street will wake up to the realization that they have acted like neither bulls nor bears.

You know what happens to pigs. Bacon! Oink, Oink!

Herman Cain Knew.
Why didn't Newt Know about Galveston? Why didn't Pawlenty? Why didn't Mitt? Heck-Fire, why didn't Ron Paul know?

More to the point, why DID Herman Cain know about Galveston, when all the other "candidates" didn't know? Herman Cain knew about Galveston because he knows more about running things than anybody in or wanting to be in government, today, with the possible exceptions of Jim DeMint and Paul Ryan.

With his straightforward answer to the Molotov cocktail, thrown at him by a Romney plant, concerning those Muslims who hate America, and his spot on remarks about Social Security, Cain has proven himself superior to all those coked-out Progs and worn-out Republicans who fumble at political correctness.

For those of us who don't know about Galveston, it's the answer to Social Security going broke. Markets up and down - it has been a plan which is far superior to anything the unrepentent Progressives have offered.

And thanks to Boortz for reminding me.

Why Romney Can't Win
Mitt Romney cannot win the Republican nomination without cheating or backroom shenanigans. Here's why:

1. Romney has too much history as a left-leaning moderate. He firmly believes that government can solve the complex problems which normally solve themselves. If there is one thing that proves itself over and over again, it's that government does nothing efficiently and most things poorly. Either Romney has hidden his genius from us political watchers for 16 years, or, he doesn't have the intellectual chops to overcome nature. If the failure of his "Romneycare" medical solution is any sign of his problem-solving capacity, he has no answers that will work.
2. He has stated that he believes in a world in which "nobody needs to lose." That is a complete impossibility. There are people who, regardless of the prompting, regardless of the opportunities provided, regardless of the shielding from adverse circumstances, there will still be thousands of people who will fail. Even in today's society of "takers," we have people whose only work is the time and energy put in to cheating the welfare system. Romney can say that he is against such, but his very ethos is in line with a zero failure concept, which, in itself, is a road to failure.
3. He doesn't understand the concept of freedom. It's the same problem that European Roman Catholics have - a very Hobbesian concept of power from authority. As a Mormon, he was raised to believe in the power of authority as opposed to the power of freedom as the instigator of success. Anglicans, Orthodox, and many main-stream protestant denominations have dealt favorably with the concept of authority as a result of freedom, rather than the other way around. A religious body, in order to represent the calling of Christ must result from the free will of its members, not a diktat from some human authority. Revelation being a personal thing cannot be averaged out or normalized. He is out of step, then, with fully HALF of the Christians who make up his voting base. None of this will be spoken about, of course, as the polite thing to do is to say nothing to keep from being offensive. But you can bet this will have an effect.
4. Romney is too pretty. Or handsome.. whatever. People are getting sick and tired of candidates who "look presidential," and once elected, act like Curly. Not that Romney would, but he looks too good to be true. And, it's becoming fashionable to talk, instead, about the ideas of candidates. Now, there will always be people who get all squiggly in the knees about a good looking candidate - look at the number of thoughtless people who voted for Obama. But, there seems to be a change in the wind.
5. Finally, Mitt Romney has changed his mind too many times. He is a professional politician and that's natural for pro pols. But it is no longer a prerequisite for American politics. We need a president who, just once, knows what free will is. A president who understands power and what we all lose when power is used unjustly. People don't know if he'll do that. He may change his mind.

In a just world, the President would be Herman Cain, or Chris Christy, or Gary Johnson, or Fred Thompson. Until that proves not to be the case, people like Mitt Romney will have to walk through fire to prove that he is worthy to most honest voters - which is most of us.

The South Carolina Supreme Court
is a stickler for detail. A lot of times, they'll make rulings that make you want to grit your teeth, but almost always they're right on.

But no matter how tough they seem, they have never been as silly as the supreme court of Washington State. What a bunch of moroons!

The Supreme Court of the State of Washington
You can read about it, here. Please, go read it and then come back here..

Can you believe that? Has the west coast just gone insane? Racism? Is business that bad for the race-baiters they have to screw up the justice system to feel good?

God help us!

Waiting for Frodo
Back in the old days, when English was taught as an actual language and not a "choice for declamation," the word "diastrophe" used to mean a "catastrophe on a regional scale." A worldwide "catastrophe" would be an ELE or Extincton Level Event - a meteor, the size of Louisiana, crashing into the Siberian Flats. A diastrophe would be the flooding Mississippi and the confused Administration reaction to it.

What is very interesting to those who keep abreast of all the news sources is the increase in predictions of diastrophes of various kinds. The flooding, the market, hyperstagflation, Elenin - the comet, Arabian Spring/al Quaeda Fall, Labor-controlled NLRB vs Boeing, Grecian Earn, Russian Fingers, Chinese Puzzles, Earth's Core Softening, California sinking into the ocean of debt, Fires and Floods, Drug mules and Illegal Immigrants, Earthquakes in New Madrid MO, Obamacare, Taxation of Small Business "millionaires," Justice Dept justification of black-on-white crime, all of these and more are being predicted. If they came true, they would be diastrophes, but the world would not come to and end, either for real or metaphorically.

But what would happen if they all came together at the same time?

Well, if they are going to happen, they'll have to happen before November 2012. Once the election takes place and the Progressives and other spendthrifts are dumped, many of the pressure valves could be off. The chance for catastrophe would be lessened. So here's a prediction from me - people are beginning to remember the subversion of the Roman Senate and the Equites by the diktat of Julius Ceasar.

History repeats, and Dictators rise only to fall, and I have faith that Frodo will throw the ring back into the fire.

Iran Nukes Imminent
You're going to see this kind of story, more and more, as time progresses. Right now, in order to make Obama look good, the Progressive side of the CIA is furiously putting a report together. That report will try to disprove the investigative analysis of RAND Corporation researcher, Gregory S. Jones. He has written a disturbing analysis which asserts that it is too late - Iran already has nuclear capability and can put a bomb together in a couple of months, at the most.

One of the most damning arguments, and the one which has spurred the Progressives' side of the CIA, is the analysis that inaction or improper action by the Obama administration has allowed this situation to come to fruition.

The Rand report was published first on YNEWSNET.COM and amalgamated by Matt Drudge

So look for a report from the CIA or SecDef saying that a nuclear weapon for Iran is at least a year or so away. Of course they may all surprise us and tell the truth, but my money's on the cover-up.

Weiner!
This is altogether too easy, so, no, I'll leave this one to the 4th Graders..

Goolsbee Goes Bye-Bye
On the other hand, let's all note with sad amusement that the spokesman for John Maynard Keynes, in the White House, Austan Goolsbee, is leaving to take a teaching position at U. Chicago, where they still believe in fantasy..

Balance or Else
Want to know why a balanced budget is so important? Because those phony dollar bills that workers earn, instead of real money, need to be worth something.

While it is true that the "Greenback" used to be enough all over the world, you need to remember that we've owed money - at least to ourselves - since the time we started to be a world power. Other than the Usama bin Laden coup - using 43's plan - the current administration has weakened the United States, internationally, both militarily and economically. The ideology of our leftist administration insists that we will get more international flies with honey than with vinegar, forgets the proof of history which shows that without vinegar, it is our corpses which attract the flies.

If we are not stronger, militarily, than our friends and foes, our foes will overwhelm us, and our friends will desert us, unless our money is strong. And right now, our money isn't strong, because we keep devaluing it through raising our debt ceiling, because the budget isn't balanced.

Boeing & States' Rights
When did Chicago thuggery replace States' Rights? January, 2009. Obama is sending a specific message to South Carolinians: Vote for Someone Else, and you will be punished. It's fascism at its finest, and it did not take long at all to come out.

This time, however, the NLRB is going to have its nose bloodied, legally speaking. You heard it here, first, folks.

More Half Truths
Our beloved Resident of the White House almost told the truth, today. Yes, Chrysler was bailed out. Yes, they have paid back the actual money they asked for from the Feds [almost - see the stock deal, below], and the Auto Union is preserved. But, what he didn't say was that if Chrysler had declared bankruptcy, all of that would have happened, anyway, except for the preservation of the Union. He also failed to mention that when the fire-sale of the "Givernment"-held stock is complete, Obama will still owe the American taxpayers another 1 billion dollars which he lost in the stock sale to FIAT, and we, of course, will have to eat the difference. So, you and I have paid a billion dollars to prop up a union.

You don't have to be Austan Goolsbee to understand this. In fact, you better pray you never turn into Austan Goolsbee. He doesn't understand it, either. But more importantly, to believe that this junky economic system works, you have to believe that money has no intrinsic value. Worse, still, to those who have not been following this soap opera, it appears that the Feds have succeeded, rather than the truth, which is an unconstitutional power grab.

What success there is is a function of natural forces, not of government manipulation. Unemployment remains the same, or worse than it could have been, had the the Keynesians simply butted out.

Paul Ryan DOES understand it. His quiet truth is far stronger than all the podium haranguing half-truths coming from the neo-fascists from Chicago. A thug is a thug is a thug.
