Here's a thought: If Gwynneth Paltrow married Johnny Depp, would their child look like Mia Wasikowska? Yeah. Probably.

UP! UP! AND AWAY!
It is altogether appropriate that Superman renounce his American citizenship. He has been the tool of the one-worlders for at least fifteen years. And since the current administration is basically chock-o-block full of one-worlders, there is nothing new.

The one thing he wasn't was an illegal alien. He was given citizenship and reaffirmed several times since he first popped up in the 30's. There was even an episode when he declined the Presidency because it was unconstitutional. Appropriately, now, the guy doing the "inking" of the man, formerly in red, white, and blue, is Hispanic(!)

Well, when he goes, he should stay in Paris or Moscow or some such place. Too bad we can't do to him as Edward Everett Hale did in his short story of 1863. Is Superman suggesting, as Hale did in The Atlantic magazine, that right-thinking Americans secede from America, too? Does this mean he's going to help global theft from taxpayers around the Globe? Maybe he should change his outfit to red, red, and red. Now, wait, that was mostly Shazaam, right?

Also, since "the Supe" is an imaginary figure, who has about as much possibility of existing as Neill Smith's Libertarian alternate Texas, I say, "..poor, misguided boy.. NEXT?"

Bubblicious Demise
If you have made 30%, or more, in any market, over the past 5 years - yes, even gold and silver - you might want to think about taking your profits.   Now.   Some investors have access to certain special circumstances in which they may make even more money by
selling short, but unless you have considerable fiscal substance, this should be avoided.

There is a hail-storm coming - a storm with football-sized hail which will flatten ALL bubbles. Not just fiscal bubbles of oil and gas and gold and silver, but psychological bubbles of everyday consumers.

Think back to your high-school cookbook physics class. A bubble will last only so long as its consistency remains tensile. In other words, even a bubble of steel will burst with the right stimulation - heat, audio vibration, shattering from massive cold-forged impact, etc. There is no such thing as an "unburstable" bubble.

It's all the fault of a weakening dollar.

Those companies who were taxed so much and, subsequently, saved money by placing their manufacturing overseas are seeing their investments deteriorate. The weakening dollar makes every penny paid overseas more and more expensive.

Not just gold and silver, oil and gas, but toilet paper, Canadian steaks (Walmart), Bolivian sugar, African chocolate (Nestlés, M&Ms). EVERY substance that comes from overseas will cost more and more. Silver has already priced itself out of the ordinary consumer's range.

I don't know if the current administration is trying to make the average American go broke in this manner, all I know is that it will happen. It happened before in 2009. It's already happening, again, in lower-middle class families. The choice is, as it was then, one between feeding the family and driving to work or paying the mortgage.

But isn't gold going to save the day? Probably not. Nor silver.

My "bread-to-gold" ratio is completely out of whack. That is to say, gold, which is a commodity as well as money, was $35/oz. in 1968. Bread, the substantial kind, not the tissue-paper "Bunny Bread," was 22¢ a loaf, at the same time. That's a ratio of 1 : 0.0062857142857142857142857143, or, to be generous, 1 to 0.00628.

Today, Pepperidge Farm Smooth Oatmeal Bread is about $2.49 per loaf, while gold is $1,485/oz. Either bread must rise to $9.21 a loaf or gold must come down to $415.00 an ounce. Either way, prosperity, itself, is a bubble that will burst.

It will probably happen like this:

There will be wild swings in market prices, as the dollar's value vs. oil widens. Unable to admit that Keynes was a dodo, the Fed will continue to push paper through the system, unwittingly, further forcing the dollar's rush to zero. As the several States and private businesses refuse to submit to the call for rising salaries to meet the increasing inflation, those with skills will flee to Canada or, if young and rich enough, to Australia. Those on the dole will increase to 60% with a corresponding drop in federal revenue.

Somewhere, around this point, the government will declare a national emergency and confiscate, with little or no compensation, all precious metals in all banks, leaving those dependent on those funds, destitute, increasing the dole and, now, rocketing the paper money toward the bottom. At this point, currency will collapse, gasoline will be outlawed, and we all become dependent on the government and public transportation to get us to the few jobs that are left. The dollar will increase in value for a short amount of time, but then, the world-wide price will collapse and it will be too late for the once-middle-class which has become impoverished.

At this point, China or India will begin to open factories in "poor" America and pay in rupees or renminbi. The vast number of Americans will take the cash that has the most value. Foreign countries will direct our foreign policies.

All bubbles burst at this point.

Think I'm wrong? Wanna take the chance?

There is a way out, but 50% of our people don't believe it.

Recall your Progressive Senator. Impeach your Progressive President. There are a myriad of trespasses on which both can be brought. Maybe our wealth and our future can be saved.

Frankly, I think there are too many people who call themselves, "Americans," who are either too afraid or too ignorant to care. Or act.

In any case, now is a good time to take your profits and run. Remember, Bulls and Bears know when to sell. Pigs get slaughtered because they stay too long at the trough.

Time to Secede? Again?
This website has tried to rehearse the basic causes of secession, back in the bad old days of 1843-1865. Slavery, Taxation, Northern States Government-Business Baron Criminality, Federally Legalized Northern Monopolies. But, I have just seen something that makes me think we are back in those times and have only one choice to keep from becoming a socialist nation, permanently.

Paul Ryan was talking to a group of constituents. Unless they were union plants, this country is doomed. They cat-called disputed facts that have been proven over and over again. If they were genuine constituents, they simply are irrevocably and hopelessly ignorant. And, if true, they would be the constituents of the most fiscally intelligent man in the country. Good grief!

This nation cannot endure such stupidity. We cannot afford economic fascism. We cannot afford unionism. We cannot afford this stagflation. WE CANNOT AFFORD THE ADMINISTRATION'S BOND BUYING, WHICH FLOATS UNREAL PROFITS FOR WALL STREET!

Do we, real capitalists, leave the country? Or do we secede in order to maintain fiscal sanity for just our state? Secession is suicide - what individual owns a howitzer or a bomber drone? We would have to co-opt our state militias and national guards - a very iffy proposition. I'm not suggesting we do this - only that such an action is suicide.

No, Obama will get his fascist society, if people are dumb enough to believe ANYTHING he says.

This administration is hoping for secession, so they can kill us and be done with the due criticism. Frankly, I don't want to be killed and I'm too old to pack up and leave. But after the Ryan thing, I don't want to be a part of this monumentally ridiculous mistake being fostered on us, either.

Karl Mauldin said it best in that nifty commercial from long ago, "What Do You Do? WHAT DO YOU DO?"

April 19, 2011
Why We Need "Unless"
Jim DeMint has wisely informed the Progressive-controlled Senate that he will throw his very substantial sabot into that glacially churning cog, unless they bind themselves to equally substantial spending cuts - like a trillion or two per year - as enumerated in the Paul Ryan budget.

Those who consider themselves fiscal purists want him to drop the "unless," and just shut everything down until they get the budget cuts we all want. But there is a very sinister problem which, if the purists get their way, will gum up the works and make things politically impossible for us Reaganites - fiscal conservatives and libertarians.

The problem is simply this: If the debt ceiling is not ok'd, the power of the Presidency to say WHAT gets paid comes into play. Do not think for one single moment, that Obama will not cut the money in a way which will most reflect negatively on Reaganites.

Had we a President who actually understood money as well as street-fighter politics, it would be child's play to close the ceiling and then get rid of the ACORNs of the world while cutting entitlements which have not been paid into by taxpayers. Corporate Welfare would go as well as all but Welfare for the most needy (grandfathering-out Welfare baby mothers, ending side support for the NEA, removing EPA policing funding, ending the war on drugs and other federal demands on state funds.)

The important thing to remember is that WE DON'T.

We have Barry Soetoro Obama, who is a thug from Chicago. And he WILL use that scenario to his considerable advantage, UNLESS, the Republicans and Conservative Dems demand that the Congress override his miscreant uses.

That's why raising the ceiling only and UNLESS real spending cuts are made. "UNLESS" WILL WORK, where adamantine indolence will not.

Weather or Not
What a sad day it is. Not only because of the taxes we all have to pay so that others can talk themselves into thinking they are doing good to others, but also because over 40 of our fellow Southerners have been killed by weather. There is a lesson in all of this.

We need to stop thinking as if there is no such thing as cycles.

For a very long time (in human terms), we have experienced good weather and predictable temperatures. But, this has never really be true. Those who proffer human global warming as an explanation for climate change need to remember that it has all happened before, and over and over, exactly this way, since before the first continents congealed over 4 billion years ago.

There was a time when a large part of Siberia split open and spewed magma and volcanic ash for a million years - all without humanity's knowledge or help. And then there was another time when the earth was almost covered with ice for many millions of years - all without humanity's knowledge or help. Think, then, of the times of ravaging volcanoes and earthquakes of just a few tens of thousand years ago; one almost destroying humanity in its infant stages - all without human knowledge or help.

But men with fearsome PhDs have declared, in the light of day, that they know the pitifully few humans on the earth can cause its ecological downfall, and know it to be fact.

It doesn't matter that their numbers don't work or their ideas fail time and time, again. It only matters that their tenure and their predominence can blow-alive a falsehood so deep it keeps its thralls properly sanctified by its lies.

Not a single bona fide archeometeorologist worth his salt will adhere to such tripe as manmade global warming, but our very ecological governmental wish is that we rape our own future, run on gas, in order to give homage to this dark untruth.

America deserves better from its scientists and mathematicians, and the evil which has been put forward as salvation must be put away as a false religion, and that with prejudice.

Humanity may not be able to change the weather, but we can, sure as fate, itself, change the politicians who allow these grievous barrons of waste and ignorance to lord it over us!

We MUST END the E.P.A.

Sacrifice for Everybody
Yep, that's what Progressives want everybody to do. They pass immoral budget impossibilities, federally and locally, and then want everybody else to sacrifice to make their dream come true. If they believe in Obamacare that much, let's tax only Progressives to make up the difference.

April 15, 2011
What If Everybody's Wrong?
That is to say, what if everybody, who is considered a reasonable thinker, people such as Dave Ramsey, Tim Geithner, Michael Giberson, Takashi Negishi, Constantino Brusciani-Turroni, all have it wrong?

Were that to be true, then, gold would be considered a viable fiscal conveyance. That is, society does not break down, but government as a fiscal contractor and regulator does.

Is that possible? Is economics composed of variables so vast that not even the brightest and best among us can establish a rationale which excludes them, but includes everything that's illogical or unthinkable? Remember, Occam's razor's logic is unbendable - "Whatever is left is the answer."

To use a football analogy, the team who first comes out onto the field looks big and strong, but then the other team comes out, and they look comparable. Eventually, though, it becomes evident that the other team has far more complex plays and far better trained, with faster runners and better receivers. The first team fights valiantly, but really doesn't get the power of the athletic puzzle before them - and they have no ringer or ringer plan which can save them. Eventually the fourth quarter comes to an end, and the first team goes home, humiliated and degraded.

The current administration and those who want to "cooperate" with them, and everybody who believes that America cannot fail are on the first team. Economics is the stronger, more complex team. Unless America can come up with a "ringer," we lose, horribly.

To make a long story short, Paul Ryan's plan is not perfect, but it's the "ringer" we need.

Only 37% of Americans believe it.

It's like watching Jor-el warning the Kryptonese that, unless they do something their sun will blow up.

Laws of Gravity and associated ignored Facts of Physics and Reality Einstein is said to have uttered the following deep thought: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Besides "e=mc2," this statement about insanity is probably the other most profound thing the German Genius ever said, except, "Hōhney, vould you check meine math, leibchen?"

In Aide of Reason
There's a lot of hot air being vented from many areas about the looming budget and the short term continuing resolution.

Nobody seems to be satisfied, but consider this:
1. In every instance the conservatives (including the remaining Blue-dog Progressives) in Congress, have gotten a reduction in spending without any increase in taxation.
2. The Senate and the Presidency are still controlled by Liberal Progressives.
3. Only the House is controlled by the Republican party - most of whom are, at least, conservatives with lots of Reagan conservatives in that mix.
4. The Rust Belt is filled with people whose only job is to protest anything that does not benefit unions, and the Country-be-damned.
5. Most Tea Partiers are real Americans with real jobs that require their real presence at that real job.

So, I ask you this - Are you dissatisfied with the number of people that you see attending anti-big-government rallies? Then, instead of sitting on the couch, on the weekend, which you really do deserve after a week of real work, go to one a many rallies this weekend through Monday. You want to show your disapproval? Then, YOU must show it.

I'm just sayin'.

Sesquicentennial Remembrance
This article was written before the Republicans were able to force the Progressives to give up some of their spending. But only for seven days.

150 years ago, the sovereign state of South Carolina pulled the plug on a Union of States United for THEIR benefit, by exercising the 10th Amendment to their Constitution. The right to "make and maintain" slaves was one of four very important reasons. To say slavery was not an important reason is stupid. But to say it was the only important reason is ignorant of history.

In the same manner, the reason Fort Sumter was fired upon was that President Lincoln had lied to the South, taking the low-road to preserve a union whose existence could only, now, be justified by the winners of a total and bloody war. And while access to the Fort That Changed America was denied, its bombardment and eventual surrender gives hope to every patriot, that the wickedness of government can be fought, even if there is defeat in the end.

Now we have another resident of the Whitehouse, trying to deny us access to "That Fort," during another assertion of Southern yearning to be free of the spendthrifts in the North. But, just as Lincoln lied to the over-taxed South, Obama lies to Tea Partiers, pretending to care about the fiscal stability of the Nation, all the while, undermining its integrity.

It took South Carolina until 1960 to get out of debt, only to be thrust back into debt by the war on poverty and a series of increasingly incestuous Federal health care demands. But we were still not impoverished. This last attempt may close the stolen lands called, euphemistically, "Federal Recreation Areas," and the Fort Sumter National Monument with them.

Frankly, I think that's appropriate, but, not in ways intended by the current administration. If we don't shut the government down and show the spendthrift Progressives and their puppet masters that we intend to fight their awful ways, then we will have become unworthy sons and daughters of all that is good and free in this country, which has survived one tyrant. The new tyrant must be met with resolve and stiff upper lips.

The silence on Fort Sumter, if they close the Land we used to own, will match the sound of the guns we used to fire 150 years ago.

More Impeachment Charges
Several months ago, we pointed out three specific actions done by or at the behest of Barack Obama, that if true, was enough to successfully convict him upon a successful impeachment. The Obama administration is stonewalling the evidence, but we and others are not finished investigating, by any means.

Now, comes a very specific charge, this time about the War on Lybia and the following statement and intention of Obama in these actions. I have printed the entire substance of the accusation, on this site. If you can make it through, you will be aghast at the charges. This makes four specific charges, now against this "gentleman."

Read it here.

Oh, Gollywoggles! It's Closing! IT'S CLOOOOOOOOOOSIIIIINNNGG
There's a reader of the "little 'L'" libertarian website, reddit.com, who goes by what may be his real name, "levilarrington" (Levi L Arrington?), who must keep his friends and spouse laughing. Especially when it comes to the (hopefully, soon) Federal government shutdown. I quote:

"Well, with the parks service closing, roaming bands of trees will envelope neighborhoods and may abduct children and hang ornaments from them for their amusement.   This could lead to wild timber coming down from the hills, with the possibility of harvesting humans for paper.   And that's just the tree side of things.

There's the danger that a lot of stuff the government does will go all [crazy] on you.   Don't even get me started on how the lack of junk mail will no longer be around to give men the correct ration of anger to boost their testosterone."   :oD

Note to Garth Brooks
You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT - Barack Obama IS completely misunderstood. By you.

Is Wisconsin Preparing to Die?
The votes will tell. Public Service Unions are pouring, literally, millions of Wisconsin's tax dollars into getting their choices for the Supreme Court elected. Most Wisconsin voters may be swayed by this Punch and Judge Judy Show.

Logic should dictate that the common working person would vote for the Supreme Court Judge who will honor the constitution and purpose of Wisconsin. Unions want only the person who will vote to impose the Unions' will upon that state.

What this means is that your, South Carolinian, federal tax money will go to save a bankrupt Wisconsin, who cannot bring themselves to do the hard thing. They will petition the federal government for a bailout - a petition which the Feds will be more than happy to give them, so that more Progressives can get elected, there.

And as Wisconsin dies a lot, South Carolina will die a little more, as we have less to take care of our own state, because each South Carolinian will have less - via wasted taxes and money depreciation.

Addendum via Progeny
Occasionally, my son reads my column. Even rarer, he writes to me about something in them. Here is his response to my April 1st rant.

"I must say, your column certainly inspires the spirit to action. Not just the human spirit, but the Holy Spirit as well. Surely, as you clearly state, if we stand up for nothing - let alone what is right - we ARE nothing. Therefore, we should always have a clear plan of action for our confrontations. Much like Churchill, you advise us to 'fight, fight, fight' and much like CS Lewis, you advise us as free people to trust in a loving and righteous God.

However, Dad, you've got to give people a plan. Simply ranting on the public airwaves, including the internet, without a list of restraints or mere qualifiers for your subsequent list of demands (as listed in your article) would surely lead to chaos. If we are to be better people, as a whole or individually, we must not only aspire to achieve the freedoms that you speak of, but simultaneously maintain the responsibility inferred therein.

In that light, I encourage you to write your future articles with specific solutions to the problems we face as a people, country, and state, as a whole. In my humble opinion, these things equate to nothing more than: loving your God with all your heart, and loving your neighbor as you would love yourself. "Upon these two commandments hang all the laws and the prophets." Therefore, no person who commands action in contradiction with these precepts speaks the truth, and no person who denies them is telling themselves the truth.

Dad, tell your fans, your blogger followers, anyone who is wise enough to listen to you to follow those laws - and if they accept the precepts of THOSE laws, maybe they will, in fact, be free after all.

Your loving son,

John"

For the record, my detailed plans are located in the left column, below a picture of Uncle Sam, close to the bottom of this page, but to follow the plans of the Man from Galilee is always a good idea.

The Kennedys
Yes, it is as wonderfully acted as was predicted. It's also more historically correct than any of the fairy stories that you were told were true (a subject for another time). That's why I know it's going to be panned by every fairy story teller you can shake a wand at. You can catch it again tonight, on the only cable/satellite channel brave enough to show it -

REELS CHANNEL. 8:00pm EDT. A new episode Tuesday.

And a BIG kudo to that marvelous South Carolina car company, Bayerische Motoren Werke, for sponsoring the premiere night showing.

Playing the HAARP
If you think the biggest example of arrogance in government is the current resident of the White House, think again.

Everybody already knows that there is some kind of experimentation with various kinds of broadcasting going on in Alaska. Most people know it's called HAARP. Some people who are good investigators think it has to do with weather - others say it's mind control. Still others think it has to do with rearranging signals from the brain to the mouth.

And like AREA 51, people know about it, but the silly government won't tell us what the heck they're doing there.

Why do we have to endure this? If it's real and the other guys don't have it, won't they be more averse to trying to attack us if they know we can zap them before they get here?

Look, it's one thing to put America's future in jeopardy. It's intolerable to make our TV news personalities stutter and speak gibberish while delivering live reports.

How will we know if they're being experimented on, or it's just ratings week?

I mean.. really!

April 1, 2011
We're The Fools
Every time we feel like it's not worth standing up to the lawlessness of our US Attorney General, we're the fool.

Every time we compromise with Progressives, whom we KNOW will lie, just to win, we're the fool.

Every time we feel down because the Progressives HAVE the majority still, and waste and waste and waste our hard earned money, we're the fool.

Every time we discover how hard things are, and the media we grew up with have become pits of treason, we're the fool.

If we stop protesting the wickedness of socialism, and the prurience of progressivism, we're the fool.

If we stop trusting in a good God and a universe of free will, we're the fool.

We cannot stop. We cannot stumble. We cannot lie down and quit. If we are not fools, we must fight, fight, fight, fight, and then, fight some more.

It is the heritage of free people to never give up and never give in. But that means we must continually be set to defend our freedom against the lazy of mind and cowardly of volition.

A fool and his money are soon parted. Progressives know that and we are their target

Now is the time. Rise up and get in the faces of the cowards. Protest and get them painted with their own brush.

If you cannot or will not rise up, just walk away, so that your rotting souls will not further sicken America.
