(The Swamp) --
US's SYRIA FOREIGN POLICY IS NO POLICY
(September 2, 2013) UPDATE: President Obama fulfills the requirement
of this article to be a first class bully - called out on the schoolyard. This column was
written before he began his push to try to tag Congress with his failure. Right on cue.
(Aug 30) Obama has angered just about every person he wanted
to have as a friend. China, Russia, Iran, Pakistan are all against him. It's his fault and
he owns it. He has turned America into a 3rd world European coward in the eyes of the
world. Now, even the United Kingdom is openly voting against the US in their parliament.
I will not say, "I told you so." But if you don't understand that he has
destroyed America's credibility along with his own, then you should not drive to work this next
week. You will get run over by a snail.
It's too late for Obama to do anything meaningful in Syria. He had a chance,
two years ago, to supply reliable people with arms to defeat Assad's regime, but he failed to do
that. McCain and Graham are blowing smoke when they say we "know" to whom to give the arms.
No, they don't. And even if they did, the people they are thinking about don't have the strength
or the will to keep those arms away from the Brotherhood - they owe them too much, now.
But more to the point; It is evident, now, that Obama simply does not know what he's doing, either in economics or
foreign policy. Whatever he does, it will now be seen as weakness. When Rush Limbaugh said that Obama was a bully, everybody laughed at
him. But it is so obvious that this is exactly what he is. A bully is passive-aggressive, leading
from behind, hitting only when he knows there will be no consequence, and tries to get others
to do his dirty-work for him.
Frankly, if I had to guess about what he will do in Syria, now, I wouldn't.
He could do nothing, or something useless. Either way, the only way the United States of America
will get its mojo back in the world, is to get rid of Barack Hussein Obama.
I HAVE ONLY ONE THING TO SAY ABOUT WEDNESDAY'S
SO-CALLED "50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARCH ON WASHINGTON" NOW THAT
WE DISCOVERED THEY PURPOSEFULLY LEFT OUT SC SENATOR TIM SCOTT:
(August 29, 2013) Nice Democrat rally, there.
"HOW FEW REMAIN.."
(August 28, 2013) I remember interviewing the President of Benedict College in 1984. We were discussing their budget, which he maintained was not nearly enough. I asked him, that as his college grew in size, how could he justify serving only students of color, and wasn't that a kind of reverse-racism. He chuckled and said something on the order of, "No, that could never happen, because his people would always need a place to learn." Now, mind you, that was a huge non sequitur - a leap so fantastic that all I could do at the time was to thank him and leave, before I broke into fits of anger - I was still a polite young man.
What had we fought for? For self-satisfied posturing jesters? Had some risked their lives, and for me - risked jobs - so that these overseers could prostitute themselves at the expense of the people they were supposed to be helping?
The mentality of entitlement was already set, even back then. As time passed, it became obvious that the real world was beginning to challenge this cult of umbrage. I actually fooled myself into thinking that things were getting better between blacks and whites in South Carolina; I really did. What I did not account for was the tenacity of the priests of the cult and their complete dedication to the falsehood that kept them in money and power.

1963 March on Washington
So, now, here we are, fifty years from the "I Have a Dream" speech of MLK. And they were great words. But they have become words, not for heeding, but for calumny and division, for thieving and for indolence. The main speech will not be delivered
by a person who loves freedom and self-reliance. Republicans, who pushed harder than any other organization, save the NAACP and the SCLC, will be missing from the crowd, not having been invited. We will see a Democrat rally, instead, with the same unimaginative fascist and socialist drivel. I'll watch the re-runs.
How few remain that remember the sacrifice that white people gave to the cause of equality. Was Shakespeare's mad King Lear telling the truth, crowned with a crown of trashweed and babbling on, making useless arguments about the power he used to have? Did we do it for nothing? I'd like to think not. And Ben Carson and Herman Cain, and hundreds and hundreds of brilliant thinkers who are Americans first and persons of color second, I think, prove my hopes.
But one thing is certain. The world the NAACP and the clowns who adhere to their new philosophy have taken a miracle and trashed it in the name of the selfish protection of their perceived power, like Lear, babbling on madly. They would make their crazy, hate-filled world ours. To paraphrase a quote in the wonderful movie, Gladiator, "MLK had a dream, my friends. This is not it. THIS IS NOT IT!"
THIS ONE'S EASY, BUT IT'S TOO LATE!
(August 27, 2013) The reason the forest fire in California & Yellowstone Park has spread
so far and so fast is because the Government won't let people pick up fallen dead wood which acts as natural
kindling for any monster fire. This forest fire would have been out days ago, except for the Eco-Nuts who
wanted a "natural" forest.

Portrait of a "Natural" fire.
Well, that's what happens in "natural" forests. With the dry, hot weather added to the mix,
only God knows how fast and far this fire will spread. You will only hear about this Federal Forest "Policy" on
blogs like ours.
Egyptians Have A Very Strong Perception That Obama Backs Muslim Brotherhood -
And What You Can Do About It
(August 26, 2013) Kudos to Breitbart.com for doing this research and for putting facts that have become obvious to most thinking people in front of the rest of the world, instead of leaving it buried in the secondary pages of Time Magazine. The perception that our President is aligned with one of the country's worst enemies is very strong in more countries than Egypt.
It's time to haul out the "You Are A Douche Bag" signs and flash it every time you see someone with an Obama/Biden sticker. It's time to take affirmative action against Obama and his "traumarama" foreign policy.
THE LETTER WE'D ALL LIKE TO WRITE
(August 22, 2013) We all get invited to High School reunions. I was half-way through my response letter when I realized I was never going to send it. Too rude. I have learned a lot of things in my life, and one of them is not to anger bees, unnecessarily. What I really wanted to do was hire mimes to go to the reunion and throw fruit. I may still do that.
I hated high school. The teachers were fine. In fact, they really made me want
to learn, except for English III, which was like trying to invent literature while fending off a Nazi
Oberleutnant - talk about strict - maybe it was because I took it in Summer School, to get ahead. No,
it was the student body. There were a couple of people who were really great. The
rest were navel-gazing, self-absorbed, over-indulged, vain douches. So, I spent more time on the
stage at the local community theatre, and thanked God for it. Nevertheless, I have some great stories from
my high school, and some day, when enough people have died, I may write them.
Anyway, here is the letter I would have sent, if I had been braver.. or more honest.
Dear Reunion Committeeperson,
Hope you and yours are well.
I have given this a good deal of thought, and I have to say this is rather hard for me to say, but I just cannot see me going to our High School's Reunion. It would be a useless enterprise - like trying to convict the President for not doing his job. Or for doing his job. Whichever.
To begin with, if I hadn't skipped the 11th grade, I never would have been in the class of '63. While there were some really nice people there, like you, most of them are now dead - or presumed dead, anyway. For instance, in the same year that I won the first South Carolina Musician of the Year, I didn't even come close to winning Most Talented - which is perfectly understandable. Such things are about peer popularity - something which I did not achieve until college.

You average late 50's, early 60's high school. meh.
Another thing is that I have nothing in common with most of our fellow High School graduates. Unknown to me, our family possessed a rare gene which causes the other kind of Type II Diabetes, which means, at my age, I'm now short AND fat. I have no political definition, unless "curmudgeon" or "despising most Democrats" is a political party. I hate professional sports. I loathe people who use culture as a shield to hide their inferiority. Face it, I have absolutely nothing to talk about. So, why, in God's name, do I want to stand around, watching other people drink things I can't, eat things I can't, who are laughing and joking about things I never participated in, and who are reminiscing about times I have spent the better part of my life trying to forget?
Reason number three is somewhat selfish, but it is what it is. I really don't want to spend the evening talking about the deaths of my brother and sister. Their deaths and the death of my father and my dog are still too raw in my memory. And who would believe I am grieving so deeply over a damn dog!? So, since I have an opportunity to pass on the "poor little me" conversations, I believe I will embrace the chance.
Finally, the only reason I come to the Midlands is to see my Son and his family or to see Mom. The Midlands does have the friendliest people in the state, but the weather is awful. One grace does not even-out the horror that is the weather in the Midlands of South Carolina. Now, Swedish and Danish climate scientists are saying that we are on the precipice of Ragnarok, the Old Norse legend of the death of the world by ice.
If they're right, and it happens by the time of the reunion, and the Gamecocks are playing that weekend, and certain people with whom we went to school have died, I might come.
Otherwise, thank you so much for your invitation, but I must decline.
Sincerely,
me
'Nuff said.
WHERE ARE THE SMART REPUBLICANS ????
(August 21, 2013) What if the PR firms, servicing the Republicans around the
country, have been compromised? By "compromised," I mean owing an allegiance to a group or person
that is not the person they are purportedly representing. To me, this makes more sense than anything
else that has been put forward for the completely idiotic comments of the Republican bigwigs.
We do not expect Republicans to agree consistently, they are a lot like Lutherans -
fighting internally, but sticking together. Recently, however, the leadership has been acting
like the Bishops of the Episcopal Church (TEC) who just don't listen to the people in the pews,
because they think God speaks directly to them. Their actions have not only been offensive to
the membership, but it appears that they do not want the membership that they have!

Nobody's going to vote for the Democrats with their history of profligacy,
but the choices made by core GOP Leadership sucks, too.
So we have to start asking ourselves, "If not from older, reliable PR firms, where are they
getting their party 'growth' ideas?"
I had an interesting conversation with another old war-horse party adviser the other
day. When the subject of WHO was formulating the core of the Republican party, he looked at me
as if I was supposed to know. I said, that I didn't, and that I thought HE was going to tell me. When he
told me who he thought was promoting ideas on a daily basis I told him that I knew for a fact that guy
was out of favor. He was stunned, whipped out his cell phone and made a phone call. In soto voce,
but excitedly dark, tones, he spoke with this mystery person and then listened for a good minute and a half
with what can only be described as a "stunned" look on his face. His last words to this person was something
along the order of, "well, damn.. later." He immediately got up, made his apologies, and left.
I got a text from him later, saying "Dam!" He took the time to text an exclamation
mark.
I still don't know who's giving the GOP Bigs their party ideas, but if their actions are
any measure, maybe it's Al-Jazeera, or the ghost of Ted Kennedy. I do know that Democrat operatives
troll Conservative blogs, pretending to be TEA party members who make racist comments. When they're
called on it, they magically disappear, only to be resurrected with a new name, but the same M.O.
If I wanted to divide up the Republican Party, I would do exactly what the core GOPers
are doing. EXACTLY. And let's face it, maybe they don't want the TEA party or ANY independent,
free-thinking, Constitution-loving people in their party.
There IS a battle going on in America. It's between the producers and the non-producers,
but also a battle in the GOP between the producers and the jockeys. Many of the Jockeys want to keep riding the producers,
telling the producers which way to go and how fast to go and how much energy to expend. Example - The
Bush machine is a Jockey. John Boehner is a Jockey.
We must learn that we are not horses to be ridden to someone else's success. I believe
there are people in the GOP, people like Tim Scott and Ted Cruz, who genuinely want Americans to be as
free as they can while assuming responsibility for themselves, their actions, and their fortunes. Rather than
walking away, maybe it's time to kick some GOP elite butt.
LINDSEY GRAHAM IS DANGEROUSLY WRONG ON EGYPT
(August 20, 2013) South Park got it right. Arabs hate us. It doesn't matter,
anymore, why they hate us, they do. That they are caught in a religio-political death spiral which began as a result
of WWI, doesn't help, but we are three generations gone from that cause and no-one but historians
remember it. All Arabs remember is that England, America, France equal "BAD." WHY we are bad
is now the excuse of the week - right now, it's a residual resentment for Gulf War I & II, fanned by
operatives of al-Qaeda in the form of the Muslim Brotherhood - but, basically, all of this is secondary.
They're just excuses. Islamicist Arabs throughout the Middle East just hate us.
So, how do you persuade an entire geographical demographic to stop and listen to logic? The answer
is, you don't. You bribe them. "Baksheesh" is as old as the Bedu of the desert - 4,000 years and more.
You can also read about the real spirit of the Arab in the works of Tom Clancy. He points out, with
more than a little authority, that Arabs are, above all, businessmen and nothing greases the wheels
of an Arab government more than a little baksheesh. Some Arabs even consider it to be a form of
proper respect.
All of this points to one thing. Even though we only give $1.2Billion in baksheesh to the Egyptian
military, and even though other Arab nations give them far more, to stop giving this bribe to the
military would completely destroy what little influence we have in that country.
Now, it is entirely possible that what our President wanted to do was bring
al-Qaeda (Muslim Brotherhood - let's stop pretending they aren't) and the military and the popular
front together in some sort of Cumbayah moment, with him being the center of a world-shattering peace event.
That's too bad for him, because that will never happen. In fact, without the help of the military,
the popular front will never get a chance at a non-Islamicist government in Egypt.
Don't be fooled, though. If we withhold the baksheesh from the military, we
will have no suasion with them, moral or otherwise, which is no big thing if you don't care about the
Christians being murdered by the Brotherhood. Yes, the moderate Egyptian Muslims don't like
the Christians, either, but they hate the Brotherhood more. At this point it's more like the old
Muslim saying has become, "He who aggravates my enemy might be my friend, if they too are backed
by the military."
But Lindsey Graham doesn't see this. Frankly, I don't know what he sees. But to
miss this seminal core of the Arabian consciousness in favor of withdrawal of all funds from the
military would make it seem as if Graham almost wanted there to be total chaos in Egypt, rather
than the semi-chaos.
It is my belief that if the military were to get a positive message from
Washington and a moderate fulfillment of the promised bribes, they would fall in, neatly behind the
popular moderate Muslims, and, with very subtle nudging, help the Christians.
Eventually, we are going to have to ask about the morality involved in
bribing people to behave responsibly, but we do it every day when we give tax advantages
to people who bring businesses to South Carolina. We pay our children to mow the lawn.
And the businesses and the children weren't even allowing Christians to be killed.
What about Egyptian Democracy? It never has existed. There have been
popular elections, but only as a means to a new dictator. That's what happened this time around.
We can sit around and point fingers, God knows Obama has really messed up the entire Middle
East situation, but to add to this mess by misreading and messing up further would be just as wrong.
Critically, dangerously wrong.
THE INTERVIEW YOU DIDN'T HEAR ABOUT
(August 18, 2013) Except on Fox.. Here's Tim Scott's interview with Greta Van Susteren about
Obamacare. I hate to be all in the tank for anybody - it really messes
with my cynical persona I have cultivated for years, but I think this state is blessed to have
someone like Tim representing us in hte U.S. Senate.

Greta interviews Sen. Tim Scott. Click to see it.
And because most of the papers in South Carolina are now McClatchy, you
probably didn't even know about Tim's strong stance unless you are a news freak like me.
A SAD STORY WITH NO NEW MORAL
(August 16, 2013) You may have heard or read that a Bennetsville police officer
left his K-9 partner in his patrol wagon and the dog died of heat stroke this week. According to
reporter Tonya Brown of WPDE TV 15 (Florence/Myrtle
Beach), the officer has been suspended for 60 days without pay. She also reports that Bennettsville
Chief of Police Larry McNeil is walking a fine chalk line - anger on one hand at the death of Tank,
the Black Lab - they had a formal police funeral for Tank on Wednesday - and the horror that one of
his best cops has now got to go through, knowing just how badly he has screwed up, and what it's
going to cost him, psychologically.

Tank
Brown reports that McNeil almost had tears in
his eyes when he told her, "I don't think people realize how much it's going to affect his partner. And
how it's going to affect that family because when you're with someone for 365 days a year 24 hours a
day, just about everyday, it has an impact on your life. And we realize that with Tank's partner I don't
think anybody would be more hurt right now than he and his family."
Well, I know one thing. Even as that dog died, Tank was faithful to the last,
waiting, in the unbearable heat. 100°, 120°, 140°. At 180°, the temperature turns fatal, the big lab's
loyalty does not waver one bit. His head down, his tongue out, his moisture runs out. As he faints, his
last thoughts are that his partner will come. His partner will come. This is no guess, there are 20,000 years
of evolution which predicts this. The brain lasts longer than the heart, but in the heat, both have a
tendency to end at the same time. Now Death comes to the faithful furry partner. Now that Tank is gone,
the horrible suffering is over, the burning, the waiting, the betrayal.. all finished.

Tank was given a respectful Police funeral.
This isn't about guilt, it's not about punishing anybody, that will happen naturally
over time. This is about the death of a friend that was completely avoidable. And this man who lost
his friend will never, ever have a friend the likes of this labrador retriever, again. Lab breeders and
owners know what I'm talking about. No two labs are the same. Also, this guy will always and forever
have the spirit of the other dog imprinted on his consciousness like a branding iron leaves a burning mark.
One of the things you are taught as a boy is to take care of your dog. It helps make
you a man. When you break that primeval rule, it does something to you. There is nothing that can be
done to that cop that is worse than has already been done by the death of his lab which he caused. His
big task is to learn to forgive himself, if he can.
THE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT SOLUTION:
(August 15, 2013) Here is the perfect solution to our unique South Carolina
problem. Most of the TAXPAYERS in South Carolina would like to see Lindsey Graham hanging
from any limb, higher than 10 feet off the ground. Most of the so-called "Low Information Voters,"
or as we like to call them, the LEECHES, love him for the freebies they think they deserve and he may just deliver.

Lindsey Graham, not particularly loved as a Senator, is undeniably an excellent
jurist, and that could be the perfect answer to absolutely everything.
But the Leeches have been told to hate Lindsey because of his stand on a strong
military, while many Taxpayers like that about him. Libertarians (and libertarians) would just a soon like to see
him thrown into a vat of acid over the subject. What to do with the Senator.. what to do.. what to do?

Jean Toal is older than I am, and deserves
to retire and have a real life.
Well, since he won't come home and answer to the taxpayers of the state, and,
we can't give him to Mongo, let's make him the head of the South Carolina Supreme Court. Nobody
likes the Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court anyway, and as Chief Justice, he
would be bound to adhere to the State Constitution. If he is anything, he is a consistent jurist,
and, God knows, he knows the law. He only has to be elected by the Legislature, and most of them
are RINOS. Jean Toal has done an excellent job, but has been Chief Justice long enough, is older than
I am, and deserves to retire, and play with her grandchildren, or go parasailing, or go on a beer-tasting vacation, like
any credible, really old, Dreher High School graduate (are YOU a turtle?), like me.
This solves two problems. First, Nobody in South Carolina has to worry about hurting
Lindsey Graham's feelings - it's a sideways power move for him. Second, we can get on with nominating
and electing someone to the Senate who will not change his or her mind or can be coerced into changing
his or her mind. It allows Lindsey to get out of that Hell-hole in Swampy-Bottom and back to the Hell-Hole
that is Columbia. Also, it will allow him to do a good job at something he knows backwards and forwards
- jurisprudence - and, help him make things up to the people of the State for his actions in D.C.
SOME VERY CLEAR NUMBERS AND SOME VERY DARK
CONCLUSIONS
(August 14, 2013) From October 2009 to April 2010, 19 Liberal groups had
their applications for tax exemption status held up for a couple of weeks. Of that number, 6 of them
were blatantly for profit or totally political, and 13 appealed and got their status approved. All of their
applications have been processed.
For the past TWO AND A HALF YEARS, 292 Conservative TEA Party groups
have been waiting to have their exemptions approved. None have been rejected, but none have been
approved. This is even after Ms. Lerner's famous "I am not a crook" Fifth Amendment speech in
front of the House investigation of the IRS. None of their applications have been processed.
The IRS hierarchy are a bunch of crooks. Obamacare is crap, especially now that
there is NO CAP ON OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES! Corporate taxes which hit small businesses the most,
are now the highest in the world, and the really big corporations are hiding their wealth overseas, which
any reasonable company would do. The EPA is passing unenforceable and impractical laws which are
turning us all into lawbreakers simply by existing, over a concept which has no foundation in fact (AGW).
Our state congressional group is strong except for one congressman and one senator.
Only one person can do something about this. Only one. YOU. And only if you vote. Please vote.
OH, THAT ZANY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE!
(August 12, 2013) Your local Chamber of Commerce may not be
as Anti-American as the national organization. I can't bring myself to believe that's
true, but you might want to check, just in case.
The following is a list of acts about the national Chamber of Commerce, the Immigration
debate, the Immigration Bills being considered, Obamacare, Welfare, and how they all come together. The
list was cobbled together by a guy named "Tiamo," who posts regularly on the DailyCaller.com blog. (additional
notes from another blogger named "juandos")

"I feel outrage more than the average American because I immigrated to this country
35 yrs ago. I wanted to become an American, live free, and prosper through hard work in the greatest
country in the world. Now, in a short 35 yrs., I see my beloved country crumble mostly because of liberal
government policies.
"The corruption in the last 5 yrs is nothing I've ever known in this country, but only
happened before in third world countries, where most citizens are poor and controlled by a handful of
wealthy government elites - countries like Mexico, Central and South America, Zimbabwe, and Haiti. I
don't recognize much of my country anymore.
"That is why I am writing letters to members of congress, to make a difference, in the
hope that I can help preserve the American way of life. It's the least I can do for my country.
-
The Chamber of Commerce has been lobbying congress for amnesty because, I believe, they see this
a vast source of cheap labor for small business owners like the food industry. They don't care about
the average American, because they have an agenda to take care of their members who rely on unskilled
labor.
-
There is a provision in Obamacare that allows a small business owner to hire an illegal without having to
provide health insurance, but if he hires an American citizen or a legal resident, the business owner must
provide health insurance or pay a hefty fine.
-
Obamacare will provide free health care for people such as the 29 yr old, from La Jolla, CA - a hedonist,
living on taxpayer assistance, no responsibilities and yet, expecting to someday become a rock star.
-
Finally, this, from the Washington Post of June 24: "[national] Chamber [of Commerce] launches pro-immigration
reform ad featuring Rand Paul, who opposes the Senate bill."
"The USA is the victim of it's own success, the decadence in America is not just among the wealthy
or ultra wealthy, it is found among ordinary people. It's like what happened before the fall of the Roman Empire,
when the Romans were distracted by their rulers with entertainment and the decadent lifestyle of the ultra rich and
the ruling class and the corresponding envy of the middle classes. "
Amen, brother. AMEN! We have allowed it; and only we can fix it.
IF NOTHING ELSE, THIS WILL MAKE
YOU THINK. AND THINK AGAIN

L. Neil Smith, author and purveyor of ideas
egregious to liberals and progressives.
(August 11, 2013) "THE IMPEACHABLE OFFENSES OF BARACK
HUSSEIN OBAMA" by Terence James Mason, published by L. Neil Smith, author and purveyor
of ideas egregious to liberals and progressives. Read here.
GREAT GOOGA MOOGA! THE PRESIDENT LIED, AGAIN!
(August 9, 2013) I'll make this short. Yes, there is and has been a
plan to spy on American citizens, contrary to what the President said on Jay Leno, Tuesday
Night. PANTS ON FIRE!
AND ANOTHER LIE: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has just admitted to his local Nevada media
that Obamacare was designed to force a SINGLE
PROVIDER SYSTEM, which is what we have been warning about since it was Mrs.Clintoncare in 1994.
It also means that Pelosi, Reid, and Obama lied to the American people to get Obamacare passed in 2009,
thank you very much.
S.C. REPUBLICAN POLITICS, PAINTING, AND
THE NEED FOR A DIFFERENT BRUSH
(August 8, 2013) If Jesus Christ ran for the Senate in South Carolina, he'd be called a
hypocrite for forgiving whores and tax collectors.
One of Nancy Mace's volunteers retweeted that Lindsey Graham was a
"Nancy Boy." Mace withdrew the retweet, but nothing ever really disappears from the internet.
That was avoidably dumb. I've said before, don't give a rare rat's rear about the sexuality of
Lindsey Graham. I do care when he spends his constituent-time over in Afghanistan instead of
facing his constituents.
Lee Bright is also making a HUGE mistake. He's implying that, because Nancy
Mace worked with and supported Will Folks in his FITSNews.com opinion website enterprise, that somehow,
she has no morals. That's really, really dumb. But considering the advice he's getting these days,
that's not surprising. The quality of political advisement has really gone downhill since 2007, in this
state. Lot of backbiting. Lot of attempted assassination. I have supported Lee, in the past, and was
going to support Lee, this time. Now, I'm not so sure.
To be fair, and mention everybody in the primary race - so far, Easley businessman
Richard Cash, who is an excellent fundraiser, has not said anything dumb and has not flung any mud.
I want to hear the candidates talk about ISSUES, not innuendos, not tweets, not
half-baked ideas from half-baked advisers and armchair polticos. I don't want to hear about how bad
the other person is. I would like to hear Lindsey's excuses for at least some of the things he's done.
And then, I'd like to hear how the other candidates would undo what the Democrats have done to
destroy the country. THEN, I'll decide.
We're in a whole lot of hurt, and name calling and buddy-protecting this early isn't
going to help.
(August 7, 2013) If you haven't seen this and you have even a touch of
libertarianism in you, you will laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and.. well.. you get the idea..
(August 6, 2013) Monday, the Obama government announced that Household spending "recovered."
It's a lie. Household spending accounted for 1.2 of the 1.7% of the GDP announced last week, but that's only because
householders bought early, buying necessities to send their kids back to school.
Folks, there is no recovery. It's as big a fib as "al-Quaeda is on the run." Gasoline ought to be
$1.65 in South Carolina. It's STILL well over $3.25 for regular. Groceries have doubled since 2009 and stayed there.
Clothes and furniture have also doubled since then, yet, the Obama administration continues to lie, telling us inflation is
less than 3% per annum.
Well, you get what you pay for.
(August 5, 2013) So I'm thinking.. there are so many people in the Administration
so scared, and so many people whose attention seems to have wandered from the important job of holding
the President's feet to the fire, it seemed appropriate to ask:
Just asking.
Why have we shown ourselves to be such international cowards by
shutting down our embassies?
I hope that each and every one of us crazyass crackas will hold our friends of
color just as close as we did before this mess with Trayvon and Al Sharpton. It is a temptation to
want to throw it all away in anger and disgust, but I can promise you that it is not worth it.
For every Oprah there is a Ben Carson. For every Barack there is a Thomas Sowell.
For every Jim Clyburn there is a Tim Scott. We were never closer than during a Republican presidency
and we need to remember those days. We can be that close again. But we need to work and vote to
get back there, again.
(August 2, 2013) I'll be back, Monday.
(August 1, 2013) The housing numbers are out and, of course, they hide the real truth.
The price of some houses in some neighborhoods in some cities have risen in a bubble, so the national
average has risen. The actual number of people OWNING houses has dropped, dramatically. We are back
to lows in home ownership that haven't been seen since Roosevelt contracted the economy with his ridiculous
Keynesian economics following the Great Depression. But there are still people who think the 2009 "Stimulus" was a
terrific thing.
One more thing - the GDP number for the first quarter was revised downward, AGAIN.
Now it's 1.1% ! Have you ever? The second quarter number is 1.7%, but who's going to believe that? Not
from this crappy administration. Sheesh!
