More Hayes Than Giffords
I'm very happy that Gabby Giffords continues to recover from losing a fourth of her brain, after being
shot by a crazy person. But the only thing missing from her testimony on firearms, Wednesday, was Nellybelle the Jeep.
Wrong Gabby. I do not want to be disrespectful, but the Democrats' need to stop trotting her out, in a manner
more befitting South Park than a serious discussion about firearms.

Gabby Hayes
Gabby Giffords
Sadly, it is becoming obvious that she does not have all of her former faculties.
And because she has been the center of this dog and pony show, there is a strong possibility she will become,
for the Democrats, more embarrassment than heroic symbol. I would offer that Democrats have no shame, waving
her as their bloody shirt, but that should already be common knowledge. And besides, Gabby Hayes wasn't
ashamed that he bore and used a pistol, as Mrs. Giffords has forgotten that she had, but did not bear on that
fateful day, her CWP-legal gun.
Something Isaiah Saw
It is starting to occur to some people in power that they do not hold the upper hand
in some things. They won an election, yes, barely, but following the administration's desires will solve
none of the monetary problems America has. And they are very afraid.
The reason is that Europe will either recognize that they hold all the currency cards,
and abandon the Dollar, or China and Russia will replace the Euro with a blend of their currencies, and
do the same thing. All it will take is one or the other saying to the world traders, "We're not going to
accept Dollars for our goods, any more." On that day, the American Dollar will become like Weimar
Deutschmarks. Those of us who have wisely purchased silver and gold will soon be targets for dictators and
other thieves. With our guns gone and our fighting force weakened as planned, we will not need to be defeated
by our own army, we will be as a feed-bag for wolves, as they come out of their self-inflicted slums and
take what they will, all in the name of "fairness."

Isaiah's Vision of the Desolation by Gustav Doré
On that day, the producers will become complete slaves to the government. Bureaucracy will
replace the Bill of Rights "for the safety of all citizens." Tanks will fill the streets as soldiers from
Texas will be sent to Michigan and Oregonians sent to Carolina to "protect" the citizenry, while the Devil laughs,
and America dies. Do not think for a moment that Progressives, jealous of their place in the new government, will not
surrender their own mothers in order to stay on top.
On that day, Americans will ask the high and the mighty in DC to make a reckoning for
its profligate currency actions and they will lie, saying it was this reason or that reason, or maybe it was
all Bush's fault. But the people will know, and curse the names of those in power.
On that day, we will all know if the vision of Isaiah is an image of a prophecy, or just common
sense in a world made insane by those with political power? Don't say, "It can't happen." It has before.
Many times. And it can, again.
Un-Newsly Times
I understand that my last article (below) has caused a stir in certain circles,
and I've been asked to write more. The fact is, what I wrote is all I know about the email. Anyway,
that's not what I want to write about, today.
The New York Times had an article on
Friday that was so misleading in its implications, that the record has to be set straight. The small investor
is NOT, repeat, NOT back in the market. Our markets have been and continue to be moved by a few, very large
investment firms. The amount of money flowing into the market from small investors has increased, but only by
a small amount. The large sums are coming from the enormous amounts of dollars, hundreds of billions, which
have been on the sidelines in the accounts of these large firms.

Notice the open and close of business, Friday, Jan 25th.
They're the only times when there is any meaningful volume.
And in any case, it's not how high the market indexes are, it's the up and down volume,
and the up-volume remains lackluster. It's almost as if someone is trying to push the market to record highs on a lie.
I generally don't read The New York Times. Friday, I remembered why. So when you
hear how great the economy is, just yawn and go back to bed.
Smirking, Braying Jackass
If my sources are correct, there is an email, still extant, from SecState
Hillary Clinton to Lybian Ambassador Christopher Stevens, acknowledging the danger he was
in (we don't know if it ignores or agrees with his request). If that is true, and, frankly, there is no way to prove it, it makes no difference in her
testimony before House and Senate committees, on Wednesday.
The reason it doesn't is that she has already lied. BarryO's and her comments
for consumption in Pakistan are either lies, or she lied before congress. Either way, she lied.
We know, now that The Mid-East foreign policy of the Obama Administration, in which she is
complicit, is an utter, crushing failure. We just didn't know how bad a failure it really was, until
the attack on the embassy.

What difference does it make? Elections matter.
The difference between lying and truthing.
We already know SecState Clinton is a congenital liar, the late Bill Safire said so,
and added proof to the pudding. Carl Bernstein was sad at the truth of the matter. Even Bob Woodward
noted, in so many words, that there were so many questions surrounding several activities of the former
First Lady, that it was probably her saving grace that she had not spoken often before Congress.
Well, she has spoken in front of committees of both the Senate and the House, smirking
and playing Termagant and sounding as clanging brass.
Clinton, answering the piercing questions of Senator Johnson, sounded more like Eric Cartman in her now
bullying, now weeping performance. She either lied to the world and told the truth before Congress or
lied to Congress. But we know, now that she lied to the world in front of those dead servicemen in the
hanger all those months ago, which makes her fifth-grade acting exhibition on Wednesday even more vile.
L'Chaim!
Bibi Netanyahu still leads the government of the only true friend of America in the
Middle East. Good for him, and good for us, no matter what the pretender in the White House and his
silly 1930's Italian-style fascists think.
Coming soon: Boycotting EVERYONE who supports Obama.
From Disney Unto Disney
I have finally figured out who Obama reminds me of. Ever since I first saw
him, something in his eyes reminded me of someone from my youth. Tonight, I saw that look, that
face, from my younger days - it was the face of the wicked step-mother in Cinderella, the 1950's
cartoon epic from Walt Disney.

It's not that his face looks like a cartoon, or even a cartoon wicked step-mother,
although "wicked step-mother" is precisely the kind of leadership we've had for four years. It's
the look in his eyes. You just know that everything this wicked step-mother will do will somehow come
to ruin, by the force of her own personality, which cannot change, even if she wanted it to,
which she doesn't, because she enjoys being a wicked step-mother.
On this day, when we subject ourselves to scullery-maid slavery for another
four more years, I thought it important to put things in their proper perspective. It doesn't
change anything, but I thought it might be good therapy.
Ironical Factoid: Disney was a little "L" liberatarian capitalist whose company has been
coopted by a big government fascist. Walt has become his own wicked step-mother.
S.... Nope..
Fox News exposed the so called "fact checking" site, snopes.com, run by a couple
in Canada, several times over the years, for not only not disproving facts, but telling half-truths to
cover themselves. Well, this time, it didn't take Fox News to do it. Purportedly, trying to disprove
the internet rumor that more people are murdered by baseball bats than by guns, the site
revealed some really sloppy "fact- checking."
They even quote an allegedly accurate FBI survey of murder weapons, which goes
back many years, with guns being the big killer.. What they DON'T tell you is that more than 50% of
those numbers are not even murders, which is the whole point of the article, other than baseball bats.
Most of the deaths are suicides, and many of them were caused by accidents.
One other fact, passed over in the snopes.com article, is that the FBI tables are not
actuarial.. that is, they are merely educated guesses - statistics. If you have read this column for any length of time,
you know what a rabbit trap statistics are. Game theorum has been proven to be chaos theorum, so guessing about
important facts just won't cut it. Maybe in years to come, we can get actuarial numbers, but as long as the
king of liars is running Justice, I wouldn't trust their numbers on a grocery list.
But even if you do believe the FBI numbers, they show that the "gun" deaths were not
from assault weapons, but pistols, and, as I pointed out, were not murders, by half. From ALL methods,
14,612 total murders were committed in the US in 2011, which is down .7% from 2010. So, in actual fact,
more MURDERS were perpetrated from non-gun causes, in comparison, if not by baseball bats, alone.

And while we're at it, 42,000 people were killed in auto accidents in 2011 (actuarial numbers),
though hopefully, not as an act of murder. If we used the same logic as snopes.com or their friends
in the progressive land of make-believe, do we ban cars, or limit gas?
Any Got Your Gun?
Since the invention of the ballistic missile some 30,000 years ago, there have been people
who think they can make peace by disarming those who have arms. It is a fruitless and hapless enterprise.
But one does not have to look very far back in time in order to see the most effective
way to keep from having death by projectiles. It was called "Mutually Assured Destruction" or MAD. The United
States and the Soviet Union each said it had the requisite number of nuclear missiles to adequately wipe out
the other country, should a nuclear war break out. It never happened because each side was too sane to pull the trigger.
It worked.
It worked because it operates from the same principle understood by our founding fathers - an armed society
is a polite society.
Every twenty years or so, the sons and daughters of dunderheads crawl out from under their
inherited wealth to grace us with stupidities they deem important, but which is little more than fantasy born of boredom.
One of the worst of these ideas is that they can "solve" the problem of "gun-evil" in the world. The idea is as insane as
the person whose evil has evoked the response in the first place. As Ghandi once said, "It is better to be violent... than
to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence."
If their ideas were sane, they would not be trying to implement laws which have been tried and failed:
firearm suppression, bullet limitations, registration, etc. Not one of them has ever worked and never will.
In a perfect world, we would not need firearms at all, but this world will never be perfect. We need
an answer for a faulty world - an insane world. And in an insane world, Mutually Assured Destruction is a very
sane idea. It is not a comfortable solution - people will have to be responsible for and to themselves - but for all
but the cowardly, arming every citizen is the best answer. And that's only one of the reasons the 2nd Amendment is
such a good idea.
Progressives Having A "Hissy" Over an Inconvenient Truth
What Americans heard was "The horse-laugh, heard round the world" at Administration Flak,
Jay Carney's comments on the NRA Commercial, calling Obama the elitist hypocrite that he is
