A Midsummer Fantasy
Here's a question - What happens if nobody believes money is money?
I know that's a dumb sounding question, but this is precisely what's happening in world money
markets. The heads of finance for ALL of the nations are either lying or they are completely insane.
Here's my reasoning:
Europe had only the say-so from each of its countries that their currency actually had worth, before they
joined in the Euro. We now know that this was, in most cases such as Spain, France, and Ireland,
mostly false. There is, currently, no evidence that America's paper has any backing at all, except our armed forces.
There have also been a lot of reports from many trusted sources that say China and Japan are buying precious metals
to back up their currency (this is counter intuitive, so take that into consideration). If that's true, then
the US and Europe may have a true exchange problem. Even countries
such as Estonia and Germany, which have a vibrant economy, expresses that economy in worthless Euros. What happens
when people in the exchange markets start dumping Dollars AND Euros in favor of Swiss Francs, the Yen, and
the Yuan (renminbi).
I have actual emails from sources in Washington who tell me that they are being told to inflate the
value of the dollar, not to mention that they admit DC has been, for three years, underestimating actual inflation. I
really do wish I could "out" these sources, but, frankly, I'm too small, and the lies go all the way up the economic food chain -
they would be consumed by the much bigger fish, and I'd have no sources. You'll just have to trust me. Sorry.
On the other hand, as long as everybody is living the fantasy, who will have the courage to correct
them?
The Heat Is On
First of all, I want to say how utterly sorry I am for the people who will suffer in the heat,
predicted three weeks ago by Joe Bastardi. But, as sorry as I am, I am even more angry with
the shortsightedness of Progressives. In their rush to provide free healthcare, free housing,
free food, and restrict growth, they have failed to maintain the infrastructure, which is a true function of government.
In their rush to provide welfare for the general, they have failed to provide for the general welfare.
Many, many will die from the heat, because they refused to beef up the electric infrastructure of
the DC area, which would have sped up the recovery from the recent storms. But alas, they were
too busy scoring points with people who do not produce to provide for the people who do.
I'd like to make the point, again, that archeometeorologists say this kind of violent weather was quite often
one of the leading indicators of Earth cooling, not heating. It's still under the temperature average
to the North.
In any case, please remember, it is not a conservative nor a libertarian who caused your grandma or grandpa to
die from the heat. It is the person making you buy the healthcare insurance.
