If you want to get REALLY scared, read this article in the New York Times. It sets out, in no uncertain terms what the current resident of the Whitehouse has been doing. Of course, they are trying to rationalize it, but what sticks out like a banana in an apple arrangement is the fact that Obama is trying to create an imperial position out of the office of the Presidency.

The further you read into the article, you realize that what Obama is doing is precisely what Octavian did in the wake of Julius Ceasar's assassination. Rather than seize power outright ( potestas dictator), he is using all the powers of the Presidency (auctoritas consulae) to circumvent the Congress (Senatus et Comitia Equites).

If you don't think he can become an American Emperor, think again. Obama, by virtue of this office (auctoritas), is head of the army (Imperator). He is already the head of the state bureaucracy (Pater Patriae et Potestas Consularii). He is already the first citizen (Princeps). And to add insult to injury, he already wields, by not enforcing laws he does not like and by presidential edict, public opinion (res publica) and civil law (potestas curiales).

Octavian became Augustus Ceasar because the Senate was weak and ineffective. Harry Reid has seen to that by his whoring his office before Obama while effectively neutering the Republican controlled House.

All that is needed, now, is for Obama to declare himself Moral Head of America (Pontifex Maximus) and the transformation from Republic to Empire will be complete. And he'll do it all in the name of the Mob, just as Octavian did, as soon as he is re-elected in November.

Do not doubt me. Read the article, and weep for the coming death of freedom in America.

The Inherent Unfairness of Personal Taxes
To begin with, we're only discussing Our system of taxes, that is, the system of taxation on personal income of the United States. We're also just going to talk about first principles. After all, who wants to even try to dissect a tax code that has more pages than the Bible has words?

Why does our tax system treat individuals and businesses differently? Is it possible that there is no real reason, other than prejudice or serendipity? Maybe, but here's what we do know:

Somewhere, in the dark back rooms of Congress, sometimes with, sometimes without, the help of the President, tax rules, vast and confused, were concocted. In effect, the rules said that if you made money with some form of labor, you had to give some of it to the government so that they could build streets and roads, maintain and army, pay judges a fair wage. As the government grew, and its view of its own importance grew, government began to demand more and more.

Even in the beginning, business was treated differently from individuals. Politicians have always walked a fine line between needing the money that business and individuals could give them. But somehow, instead of treating both entities equally, individuals got the short end of the stick. The "somehow" was a simple fact - businesses, even small ones, have more than one person from which to glean funds. They could also spend time that individuals did not have, to think of ways to get government to give them what they wanted.

Here in the present, business gets to count the money it spends in order to business. They only pay taxes on what is left after paying for rent, transportation, salaries, loans, fees, insurance, and so forth.

The individual, on the other hand, gets to deduct very little in comparison to a business. You know the tune: you don't get to deduct rent or house payments, but you can deduct interest on a loan. You can't deduct for a car or other transportation to get to work, unless you use it for work, and then there is a morass of special rules an individual has to follow which, in the end, keeps the individual taxpayer from taking a meaningful deduction, certainly not anything like a business can deduct.

You can say a lot about President Bush, but he understood this unfairness in the tax system. He also knew that he could never pass a meaningful tax reform, with the greedy bastards in Congress nipping at his heels. So what he did do, with the help of a few very hard working honest Senators and Congressmen, was pass what is now called, "The Bush Tax Cuts." The measure still isn't fair for everybody, but it does take into consideration the IDEA of tax equity between business and individuals.

Many of us individuals are paying much less than we had been paying. Some of us pay no taxes at all. But these tax cuts do not solve the problem. We need equity, not governmental forbearance.

Enter Neal Boortz, Georgia Republicans John Linder, Rob Woodall, Saxby Chambliss. and their band of merrie persons.

The "Fair Tax" is an answer to the path to a universal taxation equity. Everybody winds up paying the same rate and people who are genuinely poor are spared. We get to keep most of the giveaway programs that Progressives love and everybody who can pays something. Read an easy-to-understand explanation the Fair Tax here.

Why Progressives in Congress don't like it is a rant for another day, but for now, please understand that there is a solution to our tax problem. You also need to know that the current resident of the Whitehouse hates it.

Fairness, My Aunt Fanny!
Were I Warren Buffett, I would hang my head in shame, to have loaned my name to a lying freak in order to fool the American People. Of course, he's made his, so why should he care about fooling America? And as most economists will admit, the "Buffett Rule" is based on a complete falsehood.

Simply put, no matter how you make your money, if you make more than Obama, you'll have to pay more taxes. So let's take a look at this and dissect it a bit.

Currently, there are two major ways to earn money honestly: 1. Do some sort of labor to earn income, and 2. Let your money make money.

Number one is simple. You labor, and the government takes it away. They tax you for running the country the funds for which have already been spent and been left to your great grandchildren to pay off, paying for medicare the funds for which you may or may not use but which have been already spent by liberals and moderates, and paying for social security the funds for which you may or may not use but which have been already spent by liberals and moderates. This income can be taxed up to 37%.

Number two is even simpler, but the explanation of which seems to have passed by the Annointed O. Money, which has already been taxed, is placed in the hands of others, in hopes of a return of that money with some sort of increase. The longer it stays in others' hands, the greater the risk of no return or even loss of the original money. The money made with this money is taxed at 15%.

The current resident of the Whitehouse wants taxes to increase #2. (yes, there is a pun in there..)

Of course, he says he doesn't want to do that, but that is a lie. Here's why - If you take into consideration ALL of the money made by a txpayer's investments and tack the extra tax paid for making that extra money onto the income tax, as Obama wants to do, the overall effect is to lower the available funds of the person making the money. The last time that happened, the economy went into a malaise which lasted for years. Why? Because when you have less money, you spend less money, and the flood of cash from the producers turns to a trickle. Even in a fascist economy, that means an economic slowdown.

The Big O has re-employed the fashionable Progressive term for capitalism - "trickle-down economics." In bad economic times it DOES trickle, but that's because EVERYTHING trickles in a bad economy. In a recovery economy, it starts as a trickle, but then it becomes a flood! And don't forget the "Ten Times" rule. Money, spent by people who have money, multiplies as it circulates, due to production and borrowing, sometimes as much as ten times the amount originally spent. Alternately, Government spending takes out as much as ten times out of an economy because it has to be stolen from taxpayers in order to be spent. This is also why, in the end, Government spending in a fascist economy does not create a prosperity.

So, the next time Obama talks about fairness, just remember that he's telling a great big whopper and turn to the Food Channel.

Only the Bribed, Uneducated
In today's education system, the only persons who are uneducated are the students. A good example of this was the crowd of fawning students at Florida Atlantic University, yesterday.

Half of all undergraduate college students cannot construct an English sentence. More than half are "whole world-thinkers," which means they were never taught mathematics the way they think, which is to say, backwards from the way "linear thinkers" think. Less than a third of them read anything other than puerile fantasy. And most disturbing of all, almost half of them who do not delve deeper than surface emotions, are eligible to vote.

It is also not propaganda to state that the majority of college teachers are either Marxists or hold socialist values as primary. It is also well known that the rigors of getting an advanced degree ramps up an individual's ego - it IS hard work and there is a lot of ego-soothing that must be done - although that's no excuse. Many teachers expect their students to adhere to their politics. It's easy to teach them they shouldn't pay for their loans.

So, yesterday, for every half-truth, misrepresentation, or outright lie told by Barack Obama, the students, faithfully indoctrinated by their instructors, cheered wildly. But to be honest, you can't blame them.

So, don't be fooled when you see the Prompter-in-Chief getting standing Os. He's not really that popular. And you would expect the bribed to cheer for him.

Because There Isn't One!
The headline read, "The markets ... remained sharply to the downside as traders fretted about the state of the U.S. economic recovery." They fret because, when all is said and done, THERE ISN'T A RECOVERY!!!

Good Lord, people, the administration is lying to you, don't you see it? Phoney labor figures, phoney inflation figures, half-truths and sophistry from the White House PR flak.

Why do we even have to say this again? Because the left keep lying.

Riot Control 2013?
Now, even Rush is saying it. Remember, we told you there would be riots in the North (Florida is, for all intents and purpose, the North)? Well, Obama has just provided the fuel. He is going around saying that capitalism doesn't work - an abject, provable lie - and that his brand of fascism will. He's also flaming the fires of racism through the innactions of his legal thug, Eric Holder.

* If there are riots, where will they keep all those people who have been arrested? -Perhaps, in those FEMA camps that have suddenly appeared all over the South?

Well, Now There's Proof

You gotta love the guys at breitbart.com. No sooner had denier, Eric Holder said that there was no proof that there was fraud in elections than James O'Keefe, bearded photographer white guy, walks into the polling place, claims to be Eric Holder, himself, and they were going to let him vote. Of course, he didn't, because that would be against the law, but the point is made.

I'd say Eric Holder is completely full of beans. But we already knew that. Remember, it doesn't matter that fraud was not committed - it was only avoided because a moral person chose not to. It only matters that it's now been proven that fraud CAN be committed.

O'Keefe has shown what a complete fraud Eric Holder's argument is in order to disallow a picture ID. And Photo IDs are NOT racist! But more importantly, there is one one conclusion a reasonable person can come to: Progressives WANT to commit voter fraud.

It has been my good fortune to know several American general officers throughout the years. Mark Clark, George Seignious, Japser Varn, Jr., and Bill Westmoreland, I have counted as friends. When I heard that Mike Wallace had passed, I instantly thought of the ruckus between CBS and Bill over Mike Wallace's report, saying that the General had lied about the number of kills and casualties.

I still believe, today, that the screwup wasn't Mike Wallace's fault. But I also know that it hurt Bill Westmoreland, terribly - you could see it in his eyes. He could have blamed Johnson. He could have blamed Nixon, but he was a GOOD soldier, kept his mouth shut, and allowed his honor and his valor to be questioned by the superficial cockroaches in the media.

And don't believe it when you hear people say he backed down from his lawsuit. CBS knew that they were rolling the dice. And to say CBS wouldn't do anything like that is rubbish. They did it all the time back then - Dan Rather lied about winning the Tet Offensive.

But on this day, let us give thanks, at least, for a man who changed the world in a real way, for good. To me he is the knowable person of God, whose friendship is the breath of life, and whose love creates anew that which is useless, tired, and defeated - our strength in ages past and our eternal home.

Weeeeeeeeeeellllll Doggies!
Is it possible? Is it possible that the economy has given up on Barack Obama? Or does the economy think that Barack Obama will win the 2012 election? Or both? After yesterday's fibarooskie by the Prompter-in-Chief, and after the Fed admitted that the Administration's screwing with the economy is going to mess us over like Japan from 1990-2010 (see next story), the market may be saying that they don't believe in the fairey stories being told by the White House and his band of merrie morons.

This may not be the bubble burst. But burst it will, some time between now and the end of September. The market P/E WANTS to be a 10 - that's a DJIA of ±8000.

No Real Ideas
Okay.. The Federal Reserve meeting basically said the US economy is going to be like Japan's was from 1990 to 2010 - verrrrrrry slow and way too much inflation for the pace of what paucity of recovery there was.

We warned you about all of this four years ago, begging the powers that were to just let the recession happen, rather than fanning the flames, but they just HAD to do it. They HAD to inflate the currency and spend trillions covering the banks' butts and mindless "stimulation," which actually turned out to be nothing but union bailouts.

The dishonesty of this administration - or if you prefer, the inability to see what their programs were going to do to the economy is as disappointing as the NCAA Thugball Championship ratings, Monday night. What WAS the score, anyway? Who cares?

You've got to wonder how Barack Obama got a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard - Magna cum Laude, no less.. Especially since his remarks, yesterday, on what makes a law constitutional. Basically calling Justice Kennedy a liar, Obama ignored the fact that the constitution limits congress' and a president's power.
