Unbelieveable! Obama has sold out Israel !
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.. Mr. Amateur has finally made a fatal mistake, and we take one more step toward the edge.

How stupid can one person be? Of course, he is familiar with the argument for the possession of firearms. And, if he knows any history at all, he knows that mutually assured destruction is the ONLY kind of protection in a nuclear world. He, after all the history, after all the precedents, just doesn't believe all the evidence. That's no longer amateurish. That's just plain stupid.

I don't need to remind you that Israel knows everything I've said is true. They are already recoiling from Obama's actions. We are in danger of losing an unbelievably faithful ally. If Israel goes off on its own, we could see a nuclear war in which Obama will bring us in on the side of Iran - don't think it impossible, now that this idiotic UN resolution has been agreed to. Were that to happen, armageddon is not an impossibility. God help us.

Rolling Thunder makes me proud
to be an American. This year, there is an even more happy-sad bite to the Biker-Soldier Memorial Day remembrance event - Dennis Hopper, the Hippie- Conservative who died just as the bike ride began, made road freedom and the Harley a symbol of Eleutherian/Conservative values when he starred in Easy Rider (1969). Hopper, who defined the craziness of the Progressive-run Vietnam War in Coppola's Apocalypse Now! (1979), as the whacked-out photojournalist embedded with Col. Kurtz up the Mekong River in Cambodia. On days like today, I think of my late Dad and Brother, RIP, who served at their respective fronts, both lived through them and got purple hearts.

The Sestak thing is being dismissed as "business as usual." There are two others. At best, this means Obama is just a political hack. At worst, Obama is a crook. Don't look at me, I didn't vote him.

Day 42 of the oil spill in the Gulf, and the Army Corps of Engineers is still futzing around, like a bumbling inbred mountain-boy, making more damage than helping. "Biggest environmental response"?? This isn't Bush. As we said over a year and a half ago, it's Carter, all over, again.

Remember when we warned you about troop withdrawal time constraints in Iraq and Afghanistan snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? It's happening. Even left-leaning NPR's All Things Considered did a 15 minute story on it a week or so ago. All the Taliban and al Qaeda have to do, now, is wait for us to leave. They win, and our boys and girls have died for nothing. Think about that as you watch your Memorial Day celebrations.

The Debt Clock we use on SwampfoxNews.com is a WHOLE DEBT clock. That is, it subtracts any paybacks, clawbacks, tax influx, or adjustments, not just money paid out. It's sponsored by several think-tanks, from the Brookings Institution to the Heritage Foundation. That's why ours didn't rollover to 13T on Sunday. The ACTUAL DEBT is not knowable because of congressional debt obfuscation. A practice which goes back to Woodrow Wilson.

On the home front, Their Royal Highness, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, née Edward Antony Richard Louis Mountbatten, third son of the woman who looks just like my mother, only taller, was in the Upstate this past weekend to attend the Greenville Scottish Games. As a member of the Royal Family of Great Britain, when he is not accompanied by an earlier-born sibling or the woman who looks just like my mother, only taller, Edward Wessex takes precedent over Clan Chieftans and Scottish Games Presidents.

Honestly, you'd think that this state's ancestors would kill themselves, had they not been already dead, at the sight of so many of their grandchildren bowing before an heir of England. History reminds us that our father's great grandfathers were given a choice after Colluden - be banished to America or be hanged as a Scot.

Then again, the Scots invented the idea of trust, but verify, so being nice is not necessarily an untoward thing. He was the perfect gentleman, too, so, all things being even, a good time was had by all. And, being Scots, we were glad to see it was a great fundraiser for the community. Congratulations should go to the whole gang who worked so hard, and especially Dee Workman Haymes Benedict!

Did anyone tell you yet that we are experiencing a winter weather pattern? All of this rain is the snow storm we were supposed to have this past winter. In fact, if the jet-stream was favoring us, instead of the western half of the country, we might just be seeing a snow storm in our mountains, instead of theirs.

Every time a crime is committed
, the crook makes an average of 50 mistakes. A good detective can spot those 50 mistakes and thereby catch the crook. But what happens when the crook controls the detective? Usually, we would call that Chicago. But what happens when Chicago comes to Washington? We'd have to call that unfortunate.

The Sestak mess that we reported on, yesterday, has become a mix of differing tales from different sources. The technique is called "strabismus." You won't find it in an online dictionary, due to political correctness, unless you have the OED. ( The original meaning was a busy and spectacular display which causes the eyes to cross - Emperor Strabo was the "Cross-eyed" (strābō) Roman Emperor. Today, its politically correct meaning is the proper term for cross-eyed.) we're using the original meaning. The Obama administration is doing so much that lazy journalists can pick and choose what they WANT to cover, thus hoping to avoid the 50 elements buried in the Sestak story.

The most obvious mistake(s?) are the other two instances - Colorado and Illinois (Blogo may have been telling the truth about the quid-pro-quo senate deal!)

Another of the big strabismosic mistakes is that they think his Clintonian offer had no value. Then why offer anything for him to quit the race? The section 600 code says "directly or indirectly." In other words, a "job" does not have to pay anything, as long as it has some value, such as a Presidential Commission. So the mistake is that the clever Rahm and Bill are not clever enough - FRIDAY's EVIDENCE IS NOT EXCULPATORY - so, Clinton is still guilty - so is Obama. And to assume he is working without the say-so of Obama is another mistake. Can you spell I-M-P-E-A-C-H? Now you don't have to guess. (See Dick Morris' article with Judge Napolitano).

A lot of us journalists are now wondering if the CIA/secret Service copy of the conversation between the players has been erased, yet, and if not, can it be subpoenaed for an impeachment trial?

Did anybody doubt that Cong. Sestak (D-PA) would actually tell the whole truth? The Rahm Emanuel - Bill Clinton story is so icky that it defies cleansing. In case you haven't heard, they're trying to whitewash Obama's part in this by saying that Emanuel told Clinton to offer a non-paying job to Sestak in return for not running for Sen. Arlan Specter's seat in Pennsylvania. Now the parties have conferred, and it, as ALL Progressive stories do, will come down to what the definition of "is" is. In this case it will be what an "un-paid job" is. Folks, Lord Acton's Axiom is plain, here - POWER CORRUPTS; Especially THIS administration; And, unless he tell it ALL, even Admirals. Also, we know that Obama, Emanuel, and Clinton had a meeting yesterday - wouldn't you just LOVE to hear the White House tapes on THAT meeting?

Sorry, Bing!, still too much evidence that Google is a better search engine. As somebody who does a ton of research every day, I have to say I learn more from using Google. Why? Simply because, without meaning to, Google forces me to consider other options. More that once, I have been headed in a direction, when, all of a sudden, new information pops up. I love the truth, no matter how much it hurts. I also use Yahoo, but only when Google runs dry - something that rarely happens.

To steal, outright, a phrase from the Army-McCarthy hearings (1954 - yes, I watched them on TV, in late May & June), "Have you no decency, sir?" It is now quite obvious that everyone, on every side, is getting in licks, designed to sink Nikki Haley's candidacy. Nevertheless, If you read all of the emails, back and forth, among four of the most powerful political operatives (including Will, fitsnews.com, Folks), it is a strain to believe that anyone is pure in this situation. Every single major candidate for Governor on the elephant side is either throwing or receiving bad press over this thing.

I, above everyone else, am an acquaintance - even friend - to all of the people in this furor, EXCEPT Ms. Haley, so, I have no impartiality. I really like Henry. I know, from many sources, that Congressman Barrett - whom I have met twice - is a trustworthy guy. I've interviewed and written about Andre more times than I have fingers. Rex's son is married into the family of my best friend. Robert Ford, I have known since God was a boy (He likes to pretend that he's not very smart, when he's street-level, but he is one of the smartest, wisest people I know - sorry, Bob).

I don't know Nikki Haley, except to say that she has reformed whatever behavior she may or may not have chosen five or so years ago. I also know from unassailable sources that she has been in a hand-to-hand battle with very, very rich and powerful personages who wish her ill. These power-guys stand to lose a great deal of money and power, should she become the Guber. We have gone beyond who-did-what-to-whom, and have sunk to all-out, bloody warfare.

I am sick with the realization that some Republicans have sunk to the level of Old Progressives. Eating your young is an ugly habit.

Good Grief!
If Will Folks were a true gentleman, he would have kept his mouth shut. How well does it serve his advertiser to affirm this unfortunate bit of news? Henry doesn't deserve this.

I like Will Folks. He was nice enough to me when I had something nice to say about Sanford. But he is a political animal and can also be intolerant and vindictive when he wants to be. I cannot believe that he will not benefit, somehow, by this "admission," which is why this business rings a little hollow.

This is not to say that Henry McMaster would not make an excellent governor. I know him and believe him to be a tough campaigner and a good executive. I just believe there are many excellent people running for the thankless job of SC Chief Executive, Nikkie Haley being another.

OK, so, she threatens a very powerful group of men in this state who have benefitted silently, but mightily from associations with many politicians in this state. Did Nikki have relations with Will? She says she didn't. It also means that whoever else may be elected governor this time, that man - for a man it would be - will be forever suspect. But, even if she did, this obviously means that women are finally getting parity with the men in ALL areas of politics.

Good and Bad. There is a wine known as Petite Petit (Petit Sirah with a small amount of Petit Verdot added). It is, literally, the best wine I have ever had the opportunity to taste, in all of my 63.834 years. 2006 is what I had, but I'm told by my betters that '07 and '08 are equally excellent. The label looks like this:

It is robust but mellow, bright but not too, with an after-taste which can only be defined as warm and nutty, yet slightly buttery with just a hint of earthy fruitiness. It comes from the Michael-David Vineyard in Lodi, California, and all you need to know about the cultural genesis of that place is the rock 'n' roll song with the town's name in it, where the guy is stuck, again. So how did they do it - make a wine with that much character? Don't know. But it's WONDERFUL!

That's the good part. THE BAD PART is that you can't get it in South Carolina.. not even in Greenville, which has a reputation of having EVERYTHING. You have to go to the South Carolina colony of Charlotte. Alas, I don't get to Charlotte THAT much. I hear you can also get it in Hotlanta, but, as everyone knows, "you can't get there from here," (I-20 is a figment of your imagination).

I've done everything but threaten murder and I just can't get it stocked. It has something to do with the sales territory and who doesn't rep wine where. In fact, the bottle I sampled came from Chicago! So, for now, I have to be philosophical about it, as Annie Hall said, in the movie of the same name, "Oh well, oh well, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, oh boy, lah-lah."

Not a good week
for the economic clowns in DC. Just as they were crowing about how the Obama Spend-a-thon was working for employment, the truth comes out, swinging heavier than a John Bircher in a room full of communists. Added to that is the fact that the truth is finally settling in over Wall Street. It will go back up. But it will also go down. That's what any good casino does. On the other hand, if you don't play, you can't win - and life isn't supposed to be fair, no matter what you're promised by a Progressive. Silver still needs to retrace more before it gets below $17.00 even. Gold is on its own trajectory - too expensive for me to get into on any real level, now, anyway. One reminder for the DC money "wizards" : economic prognostication is as complicated as weather forecasting, and you can't predict weather, accurately, more than four hours in advance.

It serves no purpose to dig up the ghosts of the past, except to profit those who would ask more of the past than the past owes. I wish I could assign this as a quote to someone famous to make it more important to people who care about that sort of thing, but I can't. It's just true. And, it shows up race-baiters for the petty, pathetic mawks they are. You would think that people would get tired of the same old dishonesty. Yet, once again, the race-baiters are out in full force. This latest dissembling over Rand Paul is a perfect example.

Can the political progressives in Texas be any more transparent? The Texas Schoolbooks Dustup has been a constant target of the Washington-controlled media, this past week. But THIS time, we were able to see the story as told by Fox News. More than a huge reveal of the mediocre arguments of the Unionized Education Left, the coverage by the rest of the media shows just how much the Left has influenced them. After this week, I don't think anyone can say that NBC, MSNBC, The NYT, Washington Post, and to a smaller extent, CBS and CNN, are creatures of the 1910's Progressive heritage.

On the order of something completely different, we still don't know how the Human molecule was formed - the extra 23 chromosome gene pairs that no other animal has - not even Bonobos chimpanzees. Not saying we're all from outer space, but rather, we really don't know how that chromosomes thing happened, yet, either. Until this mystery is solved, we cannot assume that we can deny the divinity, let alone assert the singular humanity, of our existence.

Finally, I almost agreed with Oprah on something, but I thought better of it, and didn't. I agree that people should not text and drive, it IS dangerous. But talking on a phone which does not require hands is only as dangerous as a person is stupid. If it were anything else, then we could not talk to people INSIDE the car, could we? Or maybe the PC police want to arrest us for talking in a car? Why not just outlaw more than one person in a car? Oh, but that would violate the PC carbon footprint thingum. Well, I guess the do-gooders will have to be satisfied with controlling the populace in an illogical fashion.

Stay angry. Stay peaceful. Nov 2 is even closer.
