(America) - If you'll remember some time ago, I posed
a scary scenario of what could happen if the Current President were elected. It
has, and we could very well go down the toilet as a nation. But I got religion this
past week. I saw Dave Ramsey's national rally - 6,000 venues with an average of
a thousand people per venue. Astounding.
Now, you know I don't agree with anyone about everything they say. I think he's
dead wrong about precious metals. But he's dead-on when it comes to everything else.
We need to ignore the fools in Washington. We need to opt out of the recession.
You've heard this from me before, but, it really looks like they have told us all
a horrible lie - that things are bad, but not nearly as bad as they said - and most
of that is in the North.
South Carolina is a perfect example. Yes, we have seven counties which are desperately
unemployed - Union has over 19% unemployment as an example. But we also know
that MOST of our counties are doing pretty well. 750 jobs in Charleston last week.
Over 600 new jobs just this past month in Greenville. Big businesses are looking,
right now, at South Carolina, and if the Governor lets us recruit them, they could
well add to our bottom line.
I'm not suggesting we be stupid. I'm saying we are better than the Obama administration.
We, South Carolinians, can see our own future and conduct our own business, and
patronize our own, smaller banks, and on and on. We don't need a Governor, trying
to regulate his way to the White House. WE DON'T NEED GOVERNMENT.
What we need to do is put our trust in the Almighty, however we may see that infinite
person, and JUST DO BUSINESS.
In fact, that ought to be our slogan: IN SC, WE JUST DO BUSINESS.
Don't trust government for ANYTHING. Run your business in a cash-to-cash mode. Borrow
only from banks you trust and who trust you, and only when you absolutely have to.
Present a cheerful countinence - what a great thing it is to see people with smiles
on their faces - it makes you WANT to participate. And, above all, DON'T be
afraid. The Almighty may not guarantee success, but The Great Presence CAN
give you what you need TO MAKE A SUCCESS OF YOURSELF.
So, keep a smile on your face, Grace in your heart, and a buck in your pocket, and
you can join with us in telling the President to back off. How? Well, in South Carolina,
We're Just gonna Do Business.
IN SC, WE JUST DO BUSINESS!
As they say in Gullah, "Inni?"
