(Washington, D[umb] C[lucks]) - Will Rogers once said, "A fool and his money are soon elected." He also said "with Congress -- every time they make a joke it's a law. And every time they make a law it's a joke."

There is no reason to believe that Susan Collins is anything more than a confused clown with no real direction, Olympia Snow is a law unto herself, and Arlen Specter forgot his brain several years ago and the FBI has yet to find it.

But things are so weak in DC that it only takes these three lame brains to give the drooling mutant Progressives a filabuster-proof majority.

Make no mistake about it - we taxpayers are being set up for the bigest screw-job since Roosevelt ran around on his wife. What's pathetic about all of this is that they KNOW it's not going to work. The Progs want a few Republicans to share the blame when it fails, so they will not look like the complete failures they already are.

Please.. It's the profligate North, with their stupid Unions and wasteful, feel-good, socialist programs that have bankrupted them. They are the ones who have such awful businesses, based on credit, not cash, and filling the unemployment rolls.

South Carolina isn't in great shape, either, because many outside Yankee businesses are taking this opportunity to pull out and move to China or Mexico. Yet as many jobs have come to South Carolina or are planning to come here as have moved out, so we're not in as bad a shape.. except Union - and you know what I think about that(!)

So the question has to be asked - Are Jim DeMint and a couple of his acquaintances the only people in DC who have not had a frontal lobotomy? Are they the only ones who are not self-destroying (and country destroying) lemmings, rushing inevitably toward a cliff, just because?

SENATORS, Please, Please, PLEASE.. for the sake of our country, STOP! Don't spend this money this way. KEYNES IS WRONG. YOU ARE WRONG. WILL ROGERS IS RIGHT! IT WILL NOT WORK!!!
