(Columbia, SC) - Here are the facts:

1. There are far more racists in America than will admit to it.
2. Sen. Barack Obama is a member of the second largest minority in America.
3. The minority to which he belongs has a 300 year history of arguable entitlement.
4. Sen. Obama is, whether he believes it or not, a Socialist - at very least, an economic fascist.
5. Socialism does not work. If it did, Lenin would not have toyed with the idea of dumping it, the PRC would not have turned to capitalism, and John Maynard Keynes would not be snickered at by true intellectuals.

Politically, he will also sell out to the Europeans and the Chinese, mistaking their predatory practices for friendly overtures. Eventually, we will, once again, have another terrorist horror occur in America. It will happen no matter who is president. He will fail as far as a response is concerned, because he will be hog-tied to the Euro-Chinese and will not be able to respond according to American needs. He might get lucky, but the odds are against it.

As the economy continues to spin out of control over the four years, his blaming President Bush for his failures will begin to ring sour, as will all of his rationalizations for his lack of experience and poor advice from worn out Carter administration operatives. People, who have been the victims of both parties' inability to think, will begin to behave irrationally.

And don't forget about all those blind youngsters who followed their god to the brink of the country's destruction, who will have become morose and withdrawn as they become more and more disillusioned.

When irrationality combines with the stress of the threat of poverty, people look for simple answers. Remember that there is already a large group of Americans who are closet racists. When this group is added to those who will be completely disappointed in their "promise of change," the result will be tragic.

Barack Obama will not just be a failed president. He will be perceived as a failed MINORITY president. It is inevitable.

It will probably start in the North, where there are established groups of bigots with uniforms and established rules of hatred. But it will soon spread all over the United States.

At first, tempers will flare, with the usual epithets and oral stupidities. Eventually, someone will be killed. Then another, and another, and another. There will be the natural call to sanity, but sanity will be lacking, and we have developed a practice of targeting the president for our troubles - it' stupid, but it's what we do.

It would then take a true miracle to stave off the results - a full blown race war.

Maybe America is more tolerant. I don't see it. I am very worried. All of us have worked very hard to make race a non-issue in the American experience. But it is still there, and we are going to be very sorry because of it.

In five to ten years, historians will be looking at the pieces and trying to make sense of what has happened. My fear is that they will see a combining of unrelated events which have become joined with the glue of racial hatred.

I could be wrong. I hope I am.
