(America) - Anne Coulter is wrong.

Now, all of you know that I generally agree with Ms. Coulter about the general dishonesty of Progressives and the general destructive naiveté of Republicans. What Anne Coulter doesn't understand, is Jews.

She said on TV that Jews need to be perfected. They need to become Christians. This is incorrect.

To start with, I have never, in my life, heard a better explanation of Judaism than the one they have for themselves: The People of the Covenant. They have rules they and Christians believe were handed down to Moses from the Almighty. If Jews are faithful to those laws expressed in Exodus, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus, Jews believe their faith is perfected and they will have completed their covenant with God. How they are rewarded for this faithfulness, as a group, is the subject of thousands of years of argument and several denominations.

Coulter was right about one thing: Christians have it easier than Jews when it comes to salvation. Jews have to work much harder at their faith than do Christians. But that does not mean that their faith creates any less perfection of relationship with God, or that faithful Jews need to have their faith any more perfected than Christians.

For Christians, salvation comes by trust in God. Also, St. James said that trust, without kind actions based on that trust, is dead.

Jews do it the other way round. They say that following the Law without trust of God is a fool's errand. Read the Talmud.

The fact is that Christians and Jews believe the same thing. They just go about it differently. In the end, it's always been about the relationship with the knowable Person of God. Anything else, to them, is a waste of time.

Like many (not all) Roman Catholics, Anne Coulter has an incorrect view of the Almighty. Many denominationalists do.

What I'm saying is that even the atomic clock needs adjusting from time to time. Anne Coulter got it wrong this time. It is a rare event, but she was definitely wrong. This time.
