(America) - I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it.
I don't like people taking pot shots at actors just because they say dumb stuff about global warming.

Matt Damon is not only an excellent actor, he is a brilliant writer. He gives full value for his pay and large numbers of people agree because they always show up and pay good money to see him in everything he does.

He's also an easy target. He doesn't know science. And every conservative talk show host from Rush Limbaugh to Neil Boorts has hammered him for his dumb stance on global warming. It's too easy.

Of course Damon believes that humans cause (and therefore can stop) global warming. That's all he hears and sees. His entire day, like so many other people in Hollywood is filled with writing, producing, scripting, and/or, acting in the very complicated process of putting together top-rate movies. If he wants information, there are a hundred people who are at his elbow to TELL him what he wants to know. And do you think these people are doing unprejudiced scientific research for him? Of course not. Many of them have been "encouraged" to make themselves available to him by people who know he is susceptible to this kind of malarky.

Hence, his recent effort on global warming, which is already being debunked by real scientists.

Why would he NOT think these things? He is man of word creations, a man of revolutionary emotional thought and expression, a man of caring emotions put to paper and image transfer. He genuinely thinks the things he says are real. He's not a crackpot or hypocrite. No matter how much silliness escapes his lips.

Call it an aberration of his craft - a handicap, if you will - a trap. Matt Damon is a deep thinker of other thoughts than science or weather or geology or any one of the other 13 (count 'em) disciplines it takes to properly examine the totally unexamined science of global warming.

Wanna beat up on somebody? Beat up on the jerks who KNOWLINGLY feed him the phony info - people like AL Gore and that moron who calls herself a weather expert on the Weather Channel.

Most of us are not famous and so our thoughts are not given public notice as the likes of Matt Damon. But there is a truth that he will someday know - that his head is filled with horribly, miserably wrong information. When that happens, if he is still popular, those who led him astray will suffer for making him appear to be a complete and total ass.
