(America) - First of all, I want to say that we need more Latinos in America. They are, on average, more moral, harder working, and more dedicated to family than any other minority, including Asians. Latinos and Asians want the American Melting Pot. In my mind, legal aliens are as welcome as rain in South Carolina during a La Niņa.

I also want to say that I support President Bush and both our Senators on every issue but this, although Jim DeMint is right on the money about this. I do not question the others' motives or their good will on this issue, either. I will continue to support them on the rest of our nation's important issues.

To me, the current illegal aliens bill will be as effective as Glenda the Good in a field full of bad witches.

Why? Well, let's suppose you were one of the illegal aliens - put yourself in their place.

You have an entire group of people who are dedicated to keeping you from showing up on the radar of "La Migre" (INS). Nobody you see or talk too minds the fact that you are here illegally. Nor do they care that hundreds of thousands of people are obeying the law and trying to get where you are, illegally. You do not work, yet your children (and maybe even their children) get free schooling far superior to anything at home, south of the border. You pay nothing for your health care. And, should you be returned to the country of your origin, you can always find a way back in.

Now let's pretend the Immigration bill passes in its current form. Are you really going to give up all of this free stuff, come out of protective hiding, pay thousands of dollars in fines and fees, get your pass and then go home every third year? Really?

"Working permits? We don' need no stinking working permits! C'mon boys!"

Now put yourself back in your place - sucker and current citizen of the United States.

Do you really think if they can't find the twelve million illegal aliens and deport them now, that they're going to be able to find them and deport them then? Do you really think the liberals in government won't bolt from the agreement the moment their veto-proof majority gets voted in by all those illegal aliens who WILL be able to vote just like people with green-cards have been empowered to vote in federal elections?

We already are voting people benefits from the common purse. Do we really want to speed up the final decline of of our country by impoverishing the tax base?

As you know, I believe in numbers. It's what makes me believe in global warming and makes me know it's caused by the sun, not us. Well, the numbers are all there, and we will pay the price if this bill goes through.
