So we decided that we would do three things:

1. Cover news from as many sources in the state as possible.

2. Keep it VERY current Monday through Friday - and - current Saturday and Sunday - and - include college sports, business, & weather every day.

3. Keep it FREE.

       Needless to say, it costs money to make a classy product like Swampfox News. So we had the idea of putting ads, treat them like billboards and charge the same way. It's working, but South Carolina Businesses have not quite gotten to the point that they trust the new media to bring them customers. We are, after all, a lot more wary than folks in other states - and for good reason.

       I truly believe we will get there, but until we can make it with purely SC companies' adverts, we have contracted with Google^® to put some of their ads on our site.

       All you have to do is, each time you come to the site, click on one of the ads, even if it doesn't interest you - or more - if they do. Who knows, you might actually GET interested in some of it. But even Google^® doesn't ask you to buy anything, they just want you to check it out.

       The thing is, we get paid by the click.

       Now, please, don't click a bunch of them at one time unless you're really interested in stuff. One per visit will be just fine. But we really would appreciate it if you did visit just one of Google^® ads per visit to the site, no matter how often you visit per day. It will show them that we really do have as many people visiting the site as we claim.
