A THOUGHT FOR THE NEW YEAR

JEBBER JABBER

There is an old canard that the more money you have, the more votes you can get, but unless you're directly buying votes, like they do in Charleston, you really can't depend on that duck being true. If we have learned anything in the past seven years, it's that social media (the internet) and dedicated workers are what drive the new election world. They don't cost nearly as much as, say, TV ads.

Nevertheless, whoever is advising Jeb! forgot to remind him that audience patience with repeating commercials has grown very thin in the past 4 years, especially when the subject has been proven to be false. Even clever, funny commercials get tiresome when they are repeated over and over again.

But the most amazing thing to me was what an acquaintance of mine said to me yesterday. The middle of the road Republican Medical Doctor said that if he heard another Jeb Bush ad, he was going to shoot his television. I responded that I thought he was a big Jeb! supporter, to which he retorted that we should talk more often.

"Whyever would that be?" says I.

"Because you would know why! When Bush started twisting the truth about Marco Rubio and, PLEASE, those god-awful commercials, time, after time!" he replied. He looked as if he was going to burst asunder.

Obviously, the middle-aged physician was furious about the number of Bush's ads. "Too damn many!" he scolded.

"But don't you want Bush to win?"

"Not THAT way! I may stay away from the polls, I'm so miffed." He didn't say "miffed."

"So," I said, "it's not the feeding of negative stories about the other candidates to the press that makes you angry, or the assumption of victory, or the feckless sarcasm?"

"No!" That last almost sounded like one of those Nixonian expletives.

Now, this is only one guy, but there are a lot of well-educated conservatives in this State who are, apparently, just like him. And, Trump, Cruz, and Carson are way ahead of his once-upon-a-time favorite, in South Carolina.
 

IT'S GOOD TO LAUGH AT EVIL

Wouldn't it be great if we could all cartoon - say the things we always wanted to say - or somehow get our favorite cartoonist to do an idea we thought up? If I could, I'd get the brilliant Mike Ramirez to do a cartoon which looked like a very similar one he did - with a different caption - like this:

There is a myth circulating around Democrat and Elite Republican circles which goes something like this: "The outsiders are a clown circus and eventually, the voters will see it and more moderates will prevail."

I see something different. I see the GOP base personifying the real betrayal of the rank and file voter in the person of Jeb Bush and the other moderate candidates like him.

The GOP base is rebelling. They're doing it because they see those that they elected (with a few important exceptions) not even caring to make a symbolic stand against the moronic policies of the Democrats and the President in particular. The the average American is tired of the media treating the liars in each party as if their statements are pure as the driven snow, pretending to let them squawk on their side and saying it's fair and balanced.

The President has lied more times than there are days in his seven plus years in office. Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Neutered House Democrats, lied when she was in power and continues, now that she is out of power. The same with Harry Reid in the Senate, but Reid's power has also hypnotized many of the Republican Senators. But when a Republican "Commoner" calls them what they are, they are accused by their OWN LEADERS as being vitriolic. You will hear the word "Vitriol" repeated daily for a while by Democrats.

The reason "GOP Commoners" are angry, rather than being vitriolic, is because everybody in Washington that counts, only know how to betray THEM.

If I may..

The Base doesn't want Jeb. It doesn't want ANY moderate. It wants a candidate who speaks in plain terms, has the courage to call a thing a thing, has a history of successful actions, isn't afraid to stand up to the bravura of tyrants and tyrannical ideals, isn't a snob, isn't afraid of the global warming fraud, and knows how to defeat, decisively, the powers of socialist, anarchistic, Radical Islamic evil. Jeb isn't that.

How do I know these things? Because I mingle with all levels of ages and incomes in the State of our Ancestors. As I travel, I hear one thing - "NO MORE KINGS!" That, alone should scare the hell out of the Elite in both parties. And, in fact, I think it already has - thus the attacks of lies against Trump, Carson, Cruz, Fiorina, and, possibly, Christie, and honestly, even Bernie Sanders.
 

HERE WE GO AGAIN

The situation is dire. The costs are breathtaking. The planning is unforgivably amateurish. The citizenry is completely oblivious. Sound familiar? Well, this isn't the United States Senate under Harry Reid - although it could very well be - no, this is the South Carolina Legislature.

QUESTIONS AT CHRISTMAS- TIME

Why has the President shut down dissent at the Pentagon to the point that they are not even allowed to create a "Plan B?"

Why is he letting combatants loose from Guantanamo, knowing that at least 15% of them will be planning an Amerian's death?

Is there a relationship between the growing ideology of a murderous ISIS and the Left's attack on Christianity, or is the attack just coincidental?

Why do Democrats with bodyguards want the weak, the elderly, and the physically challenged to be without personal protection, or are they just cowards, or maybe just afraid to understand that we are all responsible for our own safety?

Why are parents paying $60,000 a year for their child to be taught to hate them and the money they have worked so hard for to make their tuition payments?

Why is it that Republicans, who have bemoaned the fact that their candidates of the past have not been able to express conservatism in simple, strong, and profound terms, are now trying to destroy their candidates who are able to express conservatism in simple, strong, and profound terms?

Why do the Republican elite feel it necessary to destroy the decent people running for public office, and then wonder why there are no moral, decent people elected?

Why do Democrats think a lying, decrepit, incompetent socialist could possibly win a Presidential election.. and could you ask the same question about Bernie Sanders?

Finally, why am I beating my head against the wall when many of my fellow bloggers have either gone insane or quit?
 

VERY SNEAKY GUN CONTROL

"Every unmanned aircraft over 250 grams — including traditional model airplanes that meet the standards — will have to be registered and must display the registration number on it somewhere so authorities can track down the owner if the drone gets lost or gets into trouble. Owners are required to have registration papers on them at all times while flying their drones."

Probably one of the most ingenious and wickedly perverse plans of Obama's administration has got to be the FAA's demand that everybody who owns a toy quadcopter which weighs slightly more than ½lb. has to register it. And what happens if, on opening your Christmas present, you screw up and fly your drone too high? Well, it's a FEDERAL CRIME, if the FAA deems it so.

The New FAA ruling will cost you five bucks, put you at risk of losing your guns, and lets the FAA defy the 4th Amendment by invading the space above your home. Thank YOU, Mr. President.

And what happens if you are convicted of a Federal crime? You can't carry. Period. How many of us are getting wings this Hannukah or Christmas? That's the potential number of possible carriers.

The only reason I would want to own a quad is if everything goes to hell, and I need to see the zombies a mile away. OK, maybe not zombies, but marauding gangs looking to steal my stuff. You know- like southside Chicago - that kind of marauder. Or maybe, I just want to make sure there are no thieves on my property.

But there is something else that has lost its way from the Constitution - You SHOULD own the space above your home, but the Congress, which is always full of surprises, has given this unelected body the right to the air above your house. Think of it. No election, just mandatory rule of the air, like some magical dragon.

Now, if Congress had any bells, they would used the 4th Amendment and tell the FAA, "No! Don't do that!" And, why are we ALWAYS finding out that our government has less ability to figure out possible futures than a squid, anyway?

If you think any Republican is going to stand up for our individual rights over this matter, you are either crazy or kidding. Of course, this is about gun control and gaining more power over the population, so Democrats love it.
 

WHAT THE GOP IS NOT

Elite Republicans have been screaming at the GOP base EXACTLY what they think Donald Trump stands for. They are saying that he is not the GOP. The Media, of course, reads it the way they want to, which is from a Democrat Party model and command. The two of them, working in tandem - perhaps, on purpose - have assured that you will not get what YOU, as a common sense conservative voter, want, which is the truth. So what is it, exactly, that the ELITE GOP DOES STAND FOR? (some of this is repetitive from the previous editorial - sorry)

All we can go on is what the GOP has said it is NOT. With some common sense and logic we can extrapolate what it IS.. but, you're not gonna like it:

1. Trump is a Racist : We don't want to temporarily keep non-citizen Muslims out of the United States until we know what's going on. We also don't know what the defintion of "racist" is.

2. Trump is "coarse": We don't want to speak facts in a straightforward way, no matter whose ox gets gored.

3. Trump is Un-American: We're now soft on Socialism and Communism, and are deathly afraid that our voters will find that out.

4. Trump is too much of a Cowboy: We really never liked Reagan because he wasn't rich and powerful like we are, dammit!

5. Trump is NOT a Republican: Trump is NOT OUR KIND of a Republican.

6. Trump will cause a brokered convention: We don't mind breaking our word as long as we keep our power.

7. Trump's ideas are unconstitutional: As long as we can control the power in America, well, Allah'hu Ackbar!

Since the latest hit-fest on Trump, I have become skeptical as to whether or not Jeb and his elite Republican friends (the brie & chablis crowd) have the United States' interests in their consciousness at all. But to watch their subversive actions and hear their weasel-speak, one has to wonder. I still like Carson better, by the way.
 

NO WONDER THAT IT'S NO WONDER

If you needed any proof that RINOs run the Republican Party, that the Democrat Party is filled with very confused illiterates, and that All the President's Men are complete liars, you got it, today.

Last night, Presidential front-runner Donald Trump said that we should stop foreign Muslims from entering the country until we can find out "what the hell is going on" - a perfectly reasonable idea considering the RINOs & Democrats in Congress and the President have no idea what's going on.

Trump's popularity is the direct result of RINO broken promises, Democrat falsehoods, the growing poverty their policies are causing.

Indeed, what these people are saying pushes reason to tears:

"Trump's ideas are unconstitutional." Actually, no. Temporarily keeping foreigners out of the country until they can be found to be truly "friendlies" is a most constitutional job, which, by the way, is the job of every President - which the current coward cum bully is not doing.

"Trump is being racist." Nope. Congress has a law on the books which DEMANDS that immigrants be querried about their religious beliefs. No Kidding. Trump, himself, has proved that if you don't attack him, he won't attack you. Want to talk racist? Over 50% of US Muslim citizens WANT Sharia to replace the Constitution. That's not only racist, it's unconstitutional, and sexist.

"Trump is destroying the Republican Party." Ni! What Trump has done is create a new combination of voters - Older Americans, blue collar workers, working women who still want to be women, freedom-loving capitalists, free-will conservatives - Democrats, Republicans, and Independents - people who are tired of being lied to, tricked into going along, and frustrated with dreadful Democrat economic and phony social ideas. What is not certain is that he can continue this coalition into a new political party. If he can, both traditional, moderate Democrats and every-day home-town Republicans need only to agree on the name of new party. They may not win the Presidency, but neither did Republicans on their first try.

"Trump is against the Spirit of America" Nah, not even. So, the Spirit of America is cowardice? Is it weasely? Is it intellectual dishonesty? Trump is against bullesgeschichte. The Spirit of America is peace through strength. Like it or not, that is what Trump represents.

Another thing - RINOs & Dems hate Donald Trump because has taken ALL the air out of their silly Bush TV ads. He has taken attention from the President and his ridiculous ideas which are aiding the enemy, not helping. And most important to RINOs, Trump has monopolized their futile attempts to get their puppets before the conservative voting base.

I have a favorite, and it's not Trump. But both he and Cruz are looking better and better, while my choice is looking weaker and weaker. Nevertheless, what Trump is not, is a bigot, a weasel, or a coward.
 

REMINDER, IN BLACK AND WHITE

The South Carolina National Guard held a ceremony Sunday, to promote U.S. Army Col. Brad Owens to the rank of Brigadier General. Why is this important? Because, as the rest of America - mostly above the Mason-Dixon line - is delving deeper into chaos, there are many organizations in the Palmetto State which continue the traditions of honor and devotion to the principles of freedom and caring.

Yes, the State's National Guard makes up for bad national administration policy, putting their lives on the line in foreign countries. But they also roll out when the skies are filled with sorrow and the land pays the price.

It is not vanity to rejoice in a necessary well-regulated militia.
 

WHAT DO YOU CALL IT?

This editorial was written on the day the Islamicist terror attack took place. I'm leaving it up for another day or so, because it's still true. Compare this true information with what Obama says in his "big" speech, Sunday..

Why did we have to wait ten (10) hours to hear officially about something we all knew, instinctively? "Syed Farook." Really? We had reports on that from the beginning. Was the White House on the phone from the "git-go" shutting down the information? Wanna bet? Farook's accomplice was his new wife from Saudi Arabia (born in Qatar), who may have already been radicalized, and a radicalizer, herself. We have thousands of years of proof that the wife's religion become's the husband's religion.

You must understand that the FBI is not a free agent in these matters. Unlike the 1920's, when the FBI Director was completely free to explore every possible angle, that has not been true since the Nixon, Clinton, and Obama Administrations.

Also understand that the FBI is not the enemy here. They are the heroes. But they have, since 1983, gotten their cues to speak to the media from the Justice Department. Of course, we all know who controls the DOJ. I, for one, don't believe news should be controlled. Except in times of war - but Obama says we're NOT at war. Right?

In addition, You're not going to hear from Obama that it was another gun-free zone, or "shooting gallery" as State and Federal workplaces are now being called.

Information is power, which is why the Average American is kept in the dark by this administration. Lack of information is the father of chaos. Chaos is the goal of terrorism. It doesn't matter if they were "official" terrorists or not. One thing IS certain: the White House is very much involved in the way news is being released. And the horse manure is already growing on this one.

It will be interesting to see if Americans will insist on impeachment and conviction, this time. Especially in the light of proof that Obama's policies are poison to America.
 

ABSENCE DOESN'T CURE STRESS

I go away for one lousy week, and look what happens.

World War III is in rehearsals. Poor Crazy Murderer kills rich crazy murderers - maybe by mistake.. maybe not. The President goes full-tilt silly at the European Global Climate Boondoggle party and nude swim. Dr. Ben's statements turn out to be true, and not fibs. Trump is still in the lead and the marriage of the GOP Elite and the TEA party is postponed until after the primaries. And last but not least, Kasich's big money hate group which spread the incorrect stories about Carson are now trying to smear Trump.. to no effect. And it gets crazier from here.

KEEPING THE ENEMY OUT

UPDATE: If a state cuts funding for Syrian refugees, the only choice for the President would be to send them to Military installations and let them go from there. He may have already done this once before at Fort Jackson. If that happens, the Governor, acting as the head of the National Guard can have them surround the military installation, citing the safety of the people of South Carolina. Then, if the President nationalizes the Guard, which he would do, she can sue the President asking the courts for relief on the bald fact that the President is endangering the people of her state, and ask for a stay. By that time, it would be November of 2016. So let Obama pose and ponce. All we need is for Our Governor to have bigger bells than the president..which is already true.

Islam is a religion of slaves. The name "Islam" means "submissive to Allah," and when a Muslim says, "submissive," he means "the submission that a slave shows to an owner."

One of the great, major teachings of Islam is that God is so great ("allahu ackbar"), he is "unfathomable." And when a Muslim says, "unfathomable," he means "unknowable."

On these two points alone, if one is a Christian, one cannot accept any viability of Islam. The very nature of its basic tenets are diametrically opposed to a belief in a loving, Knowable God who believes in freedom, not only to eschew slavery of any kind, but insistence on a universe of free will.

From the point of a Christian, to say anything different is to admit the inability to understand the eponymous relationship. The organizations which understand this best are Baptists and evangelical pentacostalists (any denomination can be evangelical - it's the getting off the butt to evangelize that is so hard). "What a friend we have in Jesus" is not just a nifty hymn, but an understanding of an everlasting truth, and Baptists and their ilk get it. Parenthetically, there was also a time when Episcopalians knew this, but that time has passed.

The last time Christian women were denigrated, other than cults calling themselves christians, was many decades ago. This very day, Muslim women around the globe are not only denigrated, but tortured, humiliated, and murdered in a so-called Islamic justice system called "sharia."

My point is this: If American Christians think Islam is a religion equal to Christianity, it is a profanity which goes beyond reason. Not just because it is insulting to any deity - although it must be - but because it is insulting to logic, reason, charity, freedom, and the ability to read.

Still, this IS America, and we have the Christian values of free speech and freedom to believe any dumb idea under the sun as long as there is no physical causal capitol relationship. That could extend to Muslims, if they could prove they are not going to kill us all, as their Scriptures command them to do. Of course, it's ok for them to lie (taqqyia), so how could we ever know? So, for now, considering the confusion and enmity around the world, immigration of all Muslim Syrians should be slowed or stopped.

President Obama pities the Muslim Syrians and wants them to come to America with little or no vetting. (Yes he said his vetting was "robust," but that's a lie). In return, I pity Obama, who has no idea what his corrupt understanding of the existential significance of his dumb ideas is doing the US and the world.
 

THERE WAS A DEM DEBATE?

I wouldn't exactly call what happened on CBS last night "a debate." It was more like softball batting practice. I'll be very surprised if the per capita audience had any significant numbers. It did show America one important thing - The Democrat Party is dangerously separated from reality - especially when it comes to domestic finance and foreign policy. But, after all, why bother with reality? They have an election to win..

Sitting in front of the television, watching the cable news, one thought came to me so vivid it was as if it was shouted at me - nobody there has any guns - only the gendarmes (police).

But just a few weeks ago, were not the French jabbing at us about our small towns with their many guns? And weren't the Brits pruning and clucking at our guns?

Paris is still a gun-free zone.

Tonight the French were not jabbing - they were bleeding and dying - as a comparably small group of ISIS terrorists murdered over 130 people in downtown Paris.

And, Brit news readers were visibly shaken - how do WE fight something like this? I knew the answer. So do you.

I'm also betting that the ISIS terrorists came to France hidden among the immigrants. Pray for the poor Parisians' souls..
 

LOOKING BACK AT 65 YEARS

This week marks the 65th anniversary of my life on the stage. Over the years, since 1950, I have been in many, many plays and commercials, directed a film, a bunch of plays, hundreds of TV and radio commercials, and still, somehow, remained sane.

I'm not going to bore you with a story of my life - that would be cruel. But I just wanted to thank all those people who taught me all the things I have turned into a living through all those years.

I also want to thank YOU, MY READERS - ALL 3,500 OF YOU! You make this labor of love worth doing. THANKS, EVERYBODY!
 

SACRIFICE

I finally heard somebody hyperventilating on talk radio about not paying for the past two wars - something I've been raving about since 2004, when I found out we hadn't paid for the Gulf War I and weren't paying for GWII.

We have to pay for it, folks. We have to. As we reduce the amount of welfare payees and bureaucratic overpopulation, we should use the savings to build up the treasury. That would enable us to pay for our recent wars while paying down our debt.

We owe it to our grandchildren and their grandchildren.

On this Memorial Day, let us remember all the lives that have been sacrificed so that most of us can seek prosperity and vow to sacrifice but a little, to keep the country they fought for with a head held high and prosperity in our path.
 

OH, HILLARY.. SIGMUND FREUD IS CALLING!

"...I will take steps to ban the box, so former presidents won’t have to declare their criminal history..."

Reporter Chuck Ross says that, when "...speaking at an NAACP event in Charleston, S.C. on [last] Friday, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton slipped up while discussing her proposal to allow convicted felons to avoid disclosing their criminal histories on applications for federal jobs."

He reports she said, "Earlier today, I announced that as president, I will take steps to ban the box, so former presidents won’t have to declare their criminal history at the very start of the hiring process...That way, they’ll have a chance to be seen as more than just someone who’s done time."

It's called a "Freudian slip." It means your subconscious is saying what your conscious (and maybe your conscience) doesn't want to say. A mind slip, if you will. And very revealing. While some are laughing, others are getting the creeps - even more that Hillary Clinton normally causes.
 

BAD POLLING, GOOD VIBRATIONS

Rather than my telling you, "I told you so," about bad polling. I thought I'd let Dr. Ryan Anderson tell you. He writes for Jim DeMint's outfit in DC, and is a pretty savvy guy.

Kim Davis confounded the pollsters and propelled an underdog candidate, Matt Bevin, to victory in the Kentucky governor’s race. Nearly two-thirds of voters in Ohio rejected marijuana. And citizens in Houston vetoed their city council and rejected a bad policy on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Conventional wisdom is that social liberalism is an electoral winner, but that’s not true. At least not in the swing states of Kentucky and Ohio, and not even in the liberal city of Houston. And definitely not last night.

There is a lesson to be learned: Conservatives can win when they refuse to be bullied by elites into silence. Making the public argument against bad policy and in support of good policy can win the day. It just did.

As the Washington Post’s “Daily 202” notes, a major factor in Bevin’s victory—a Republican in a state that has elected Democrats as governor for 40 of the past 44 years—was “[f]ocusing on social issues, including promises to defund Planned Parenthood and defend Kim Davis, [which] helped drive the conservative base to turn out.”

REALLY CONFUSED LIBERALS

Dan Wasserman is a liberal cartoonist. But not even HE could deny the wickedness of the Federal Reserve's QE policy. What he didn't realize was that his beloved Democrats are directly responsible for the actions of the Big Banks and the FED. Here's the cartoon without further comment.

FRED THOMPSON'S OTHER WORLD

In another universe, one more just, less fallen, Fred Thompson won the Presidential Primary and election. His instantly recognizable face, his common sense values, and his ability to bring people together to make hard constitutional choices made him one of the great presidents of all time.

With few exceptions, his untimely death saddened the entire world. Even Kim Il Sung, Leader of North Korea, who overthrew his cousin, Kim Jong-Un, spoke highly of President Thompson. "Without the help of [President] Thompson, the bandit United States would never have been able to force South Korea to a true peace treaty." President Thompson had pressed China and Russia to complete the boycott of North Korea of Il Sung in 2011 after the successful coup.

Vice President, now President Ron Paul has appointed Secretary Huckabee of the recently reorganized Environmental Information Agency to lead the ceremonies in the Rotunda, following the traditional caisson march up Pennsylvania Avenue. His favorite horse, Dark Runner, recently aquired, will lead the parade. Thompson will be interred in the Military portion of Arlington National Cemetery, at the unanimous request of the Congress and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Though Thompson never served in the military, he worked actively to restore the international reputation following the economic debacle caused by the now infamous Dodd-Frank bill, whose sponsors were eventually banished to France.

President Thompson rose to prominence as Legal Council to the Republican-led Watergate Hearings, convincing then President Nixon to admit he had asked G. Gordon Liddy to find out why the Democrats were creating a list of homosexuals. Liddy admitted to the break-in at the now-famous Watergate, and received eight years, suspended sentence. Many historians point to the onerous, so-called "gay list" as the beginning of the decline of the Democrat party.

Left unfinished was the push to get California, Washington State, and Connecticut to ratify a Constitutional Amendment making irrevocable the use of specie as the official monetary system. President Paul vowed that he would continue the battle. At his passing from a reaccurrence lymphoma, President Thompson was going for a trifecta of Constitutional Amendments, having already pushed through the Open Carry Amendment and the Congressional Term Limits Amendment.

No. This never happened, because we live in a Universe where lies win over truth and good people are overcome by bad people, where sex is more important than honor, and movies are reality. But we can still dream. Rest in Peace, Fred. At least, you're in a place where you'll be appreciated.

PLAYING WITH PAPER

Since we started this publication in 2004, I and other editorial contributors have tried to convince our readers that money really does need to have its own value. We've described the errors in Keynes' formulae, showing that he could not have written them correctly, because he did not understand chaos iterations. We've tried to impress on those who follow us, the importance of the depth of the US debt, and how there is a ratio between debt and military strength. We've tried to remind people that the government cannot grow an economy by picking the winners and losers the way Hitler and Mussolini did.

Shortly, we will extend our debt limit for the 73rd time, in recent years, and we will plunge even further into debt. But huge banks can borrow money at no cost and buy stock which causes the markets to go up artificially, especially when there is light volume. In a normal economy, not messed with by government or the Federal Reserve, markets tend to go down on light volume. We told you about that too, and pointed out that the GDP looks good because it uses the stock market as a signal of wealth, which it really isn't, when the government manipulates.

A final reminder before the debt ceiling rises, again. It doesn't matter what you do, or how hard you work. Nor does it matter how honest you are or how much you know. If you haven't bribed the politician in your area, you will not succeed. This is not true of every area or every politician, but it's pretty close. We play with paper and think ourselves well-paid.

Black Panthers broke the law, bullying Conservative white voters in Chicago, during the election. The FBI was prohibited from investigating so that they could present evidence of guilt. The Panthers were not, repeat not prosecuted by the Justice Department of Barack Hussein Obama.

Lois Lerner broke almost every pertinent IRS law, bullying Conservative organizations. The FBI investigated and presented evidence. But she will not, repeat not be prosecuted by the Justice Department of Barack Hussein Obama.

Mrs. Clinton lies, is publicly caught in the lie, and then celebrated the next day by NBCBSABCNN and the entire Democrat Party. She is being investigated for national security crimes, which everybody knows she did. But she will not, repeat not be prosecuted by the Justice Department of Barack Hussein Obama.

It is too late to be outraged. The time to have been outraged was after the election, in November 2012, when we could have had the real election information from all the reported anomalies. But maybe not. For, even if information which pointed to the absolute guilt of the President and his aids had been gathered, there would have been no prosecution.

And do not think for a moment that the powerless minions of the Democrats aren't sniggering up their sleeves at their current success, totally unaware that they are destroying their own futures, too. But they don't see it, and they don't care.

We have one more year of this Bullesgeschichte. That is, of course, unless we want to continue this Greek Tragedy of criminality, lies, and obfuscation.

It's 9:00pm EDT, October 22nd, 2015. The SecState Clinton hearing just adjourned. The Major media, who so desperately need the free money and free access which the Democrat Party has forwarded to them for the past 20 years, will probably not report what really went on. Or if they do, they will tell half the story. There's a lot to digest. But there are so many new findings of the Gowdy Committee that Hillary Clinton will have to lie for the rest of her life in order to square things for the Democrats.

Hillary's pathetic excuses, the phony tears, the convenient mis-rememberings, reminded me of the T-shirt that reads : "I had friends on that Death Star!"

I'll have more to say in a few days, but for now, if you think that she is a pitiable figure, then get on your unicorn and ride. We got the smoking guns, today and tonight. I am disgusted.
 

WAITING ON CLINTON FOR THE TRUTH

Hillary Clinton left for home while four brave Americans died in Benghazi. She told the dead soldiers' relatives, Susan Rice, and the Entire country that they died because of a video, a story she knew was completely false. Sidney Blumenthal who has had a monetary association with the Clintons for years, was privy to several classified items which appear on Hillary Clinton's emails. To protect herself from these truths, which would have been embarrassing and deeply damaging to the Obama campaign, she lied many, many times.

The most honest man in Congress up against the greatest liars in political history. What are the odds?

In a Clintony sort of way, then, the attacks on the most honest man in the Congress make sense. Representative Trey Gowdy (IV, SC) is the perfect target - he has no guile, he believes in the law as righteousness, he does not want to make his soul heavy with revenge. And the Democrats know it.

But Trey has one strength that no subterfuge from any Democrat or any jealous RINO can diminish. He is a seasoned prosecutor. And because he is also a stickler for the truth, he pursues it with the energy of a well-rested bloodhound.

He is also smarter than Hillary Clinton - and this is important, because Hillary will employ every possible trick, including, but not exclusively, whining, attacking, pouting, race-baiting, politicking, and, of course, pulling lies out of her butt like so many fleas. He has what it takes to shut her down at every turn, simply by doing what he does naturally - pursuing the truth.

Of course, there will be the Democrat-dominated ABCBSNBC newsroom producers who will put forward their own agendas, but if we are aware of their old tricks, we won't believe her, either.

We heard a rumor, and I hope it's true, although it probably isn't.. that Fox NewsChannel has hired a body language specialist - one of the best - to guess what Hillary is really thinking during this period. In any event, Hillary will lie. Who's for catching her?

Since WWII, the collected wisdom of most historians has been, that the Democrats know how to start wars, but Republicans know how to win them. If anything is true, the past 15 years have proven that to be true, once again.

Eisenhower fixed Korea. Nixon fixed Vietnam, Bush 41 dealt with Iraq, and Clinton-enraged Terrorists' 9/11 had to have W's military to win the Second Gulf War. But, then came Obama the Coward (as all bullies are), who's foreign policy was seen to be so screwed up, it caused a victory to become a defeat. Or was it "screwed up?"

This valley of humiliation which the current President has visited upon the country is now being counted in deaths. But it's also being counted in a poor economy. It's as if his priorities are those of a third-grader - or a teenager with Severe ADD - perpetually chasing the squirrel. Or are they?

It would be forgivable if every American thought that Obama was just stupid. But that would be a mistake. Instead, what Obama has cleverly done, and has from the beginning, back as a Senator with the Democrat Majority in 2006, turned Bush's victories in the Middle East, arguably with the help of the Palestinians and other terrorists, into Vietnam. Now, he has it. Even his stoppage of the Afghanistan drawdown is impotent.

The purpose behind this Vietnamization of the Middle East is to make Americans sick of of war. Half of America doesn't want to fight at all. Americans up to 47% have become soft, just as it happened in Vietnam. The President truly thought he had won the morale battle.

But he has outwitted himself. So much more than what he thought would happen has happened. The Middle East has become a festering cancer on the world, as Russia, Iran, Syria, and Cuba have joined together to stabilize Syria where Obama has created a vacuum.

There is a simple reason for all this. Obama has no idea what strategic military thinking is. He got the situation he wanted, but the unforeseen consequences are far more than he anticipated. It certainly isn't the same thing as strategic destruction of capitalism or health care, which he has also cleverly ALMOST done.

I am very sorry to see Steve go. He has done more for the University's Football Team than any other coach, including several great coaches like Rex Enright, Marvin Bass, and Lou Holtz, who have increased the quality of the Gamecock program with each of their tenures.

So now, Steve is gone and some guy I've never heard of (Shawn Elliott) has taken over the program, temporarily. He may have some magic. But, I hope, within my deepest heart that one thing WILL NOT happen in the choosing of a new Head Ball Coach. LEGISLATURE, PLEASE RECUSE YOURSELF. You and you alone, save one element are the cause of "the chicken curse." Let Tanner decide. PLEASE!

The other part of the curse is, Coach Tanner needs to name the NEW BASEBALL FIELD after Sarge Frye. We will not win any men's sports titles, until that is done. It would also be nice if Carolina celebrated the life of Hank Bartos.
 

The Democrats had a debate on the Clinton News Network. Anderson Cooper asked some pretty good questions, but the answers did nothing to further the national debate. Jim Webb has no business in the Democrat Party, but he could be its savior. Too bad.
 

NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

Trey Gowdy is not going to run for Speaker. After today's not-surprising-at-all withdrawal by Congressman McCarthy from consideration, SC Congressman released a statement, saying that he is, in effect, doubling down on his commitment to finding out what happened that tragic night in that foreign land.

What he did not say, but what I AM saying, is that Hillary Clinton, who's career has been pock-marked by questionable behavior, has much to fear from the truth. Secondarily, Clinton is not that far-thinking, which is the fault of many liberals. That is not a healthy thing.

While no-one in this state would be happier than I to see the honorable member from the IV^th District as Speaker of these United States' House of Representatives, I would prefer that he stick with his Herculean task, cleaning up the Augean Stables of the Obama Administration (including HRC).

They say, at USC Law School, that the "Millstones of Justice grind exceedingly slow, but they grind exceedingly fine." Perhaps truth WILL be allowed to prevail, now that Boehner is leaving, and his pick for replacement has withdrawn as well. Trey will certainly find it, if it can be found.
 

THE (FOOTBALL) UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

There was a time, some years ago, when people all over the Palmetto State were predicting Clemson would eventually drop their football program. At the very least, there would never be another winner like Frank Howard or Danny Ford. Well, guess what?

These days, people are questioning the very existential cosmology of the Gamecocks, and looking for a Conference win and maybe much more from Clemson.

Frankly, I don't know what's wrong with USC. All I know is that we suck - and pretty dang badly at that. Clemson, on the other hand, is playing some of the best football they have played in decades, - tonight in the rain - and that's pretty dang good.

In political terms, I fear for the Gamecock legislators who may not be able to withstand another Thanksgiving humiliation. I know I've burned through about three bottles of Pepcid^© so far this season. I heard that, last week, famous football seers have refused sessions with Carolina coaches.

I love my school, but it looks like Tiger Rag is liable to be the State Song, again, this year.

The fact is, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to Planned Parenthood. The only person I've ever known who had anything to do with "PP" was such a big liar that after I fact-checked her first interview with me (back in the old TV News days), and being the producer of the nightly news, I dropped the story from the schedule. The nightly news got another source for their "choice" interviews.

Either that, or the aging beauty has actually convinced herself that her murder mill does good deeds and needs public money.

Millennial alumni left early, but the students didn't, this time. Millennials should have stayed. They missed the 23 unanswered points by the Gamecocks. They missed the great defense awakening as they punished the best UCF team Carolina has ever played. And Nuñez decided he wanted to be a Gamecock QB. While Pharoh Cooper was scary and marvelous, it was Nuñez who made the difference between winning and losing. How did he do it? He made it his business not to quit. "Nuñez Business" may well be the ticket.

OBAMA HELP CHINA LOVE US LONG TIME

Wow! I know, if I were Xi Jinping, I'd be shaking in my size 11½ Guangzhou Chang Fengs. NOT!

Obama was so busy rolling up inside his skin, or trying to be "The Good Beer Buddy," or afraid of being hit, that they talked about cooperation, rather than Obama laying down the law about cyber-crime, respecting smaller nations in SE Asia, and human rights to the official head of a two-bit tyranny. But to believe that Obama would do otherwise is to admit you live in another dimension filled with faeries and unicorns - where movie stars are intellectuals, fiat money is real, liberals never lie, and cold wars are always won by folk music and rock 'n' roll.

On the other hand, Xi got a huge "get" - an international stage on which to claim legitimacy for Chinese "manifest destiny" in the South China Sea, for his "ready-mix" islands.

POPESICLES AND OTHER HEAVENLY TREATS

Johnny Carson used the same phrase about the visiting Pope of his time. Tonight, Kennedy, on her Fox Business News show (which is one of my guilty pleasures - I gave up on O'Reilly) made the same joke and everyone laughed. What this means is that nothing has fundamentally changed since John Paul II's visit in 1984.

As a Huguenot, and therefore heretic, to the Roman Church, I find comfort in that. Sure, Francis I is a neat little dude with lots of love for humanity in his heart, but he's got a long way to go before he understands the most powerful success engine in the world. We currently have a President who doesn't understand it either, and he's going to get his pink slip, around this time next year. And THAT makes me THANK GOD! Amen.
 

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH:

I'm pretty much convinced that there is only one Republican candidate who has the talent, brains, organizational skills, and confidence for success to be President. There are several who have one or two of those qualities and abilities, but only one who has all of them.

And it is entirely cool that he was introduced, Tuesday, by a young man whom he had saved with his talent, brains, organizational skills, and confidence. And, yes, this candidate is a brain surgeon.
 

AFTER THE FALL

One of the greatest disappointments in my life has been the abandonment of the faith by various church leaders. As a recovering Episcopalian, I have been witness to my church being hit the hardest, but it is, by no means, alone in its downward spiral.

If you were expecting a tirade against gays, forget it. And to be frank, although the science is growing that same sex relations are choice AND chance, none of that matters to me. People are born with free will and if what they choose disappoints the Almighty, then HE can deal with it.

What I'm dealing with is a religion which has walked away from knowing God. Catholic, Protestant, it makes no difference - ALL have become centers of fascism enablers. With each breath, they try to cajole their parishioners into advocating for government solutions to human problems. And, if you know anything about government, it's that they can do nothing well, or efficiently, or even on budget and time.

The major denominations have become as lazy as all three bodies of government, relying on "someone else" to do what God himself has ordained. Oh, there are still places - Jewish and Christian - that teach the knowledge and love of God, but they are damn few. Most have become information services - shuttling off the needy or smelly, or just people who make them uncomfortable.

In the end, they remove the act of free will from moral choices by invoking a national socialist agenda, cloaked in sayings about God's love - the knowledge of which they have piteously forgotten.

Like it or not, Capitalism is the only way free will works in a society. True Capitalism is a voluntary system. So, if by the Grace of the knowledge of God, alone, are we saved, and if, without Grace, "Good Works" (Charity) is dead. And, if acts of Charity are voluntary, then Charity must be voluntary and not mandatory, or it is just theft.

And, that's what the Pope came to America to say - the rich country should give to the poor country, rather than the poor country taking responsibility for itself.

Or anybody's sake, for that matter. I am so sick of losing. But you know what? In the second half, I saw a real team on that field, playing against Kentucky. The only question I have is, "Where were they in the first half?" So many talented, genuine freshmen. Oh well.. Maybe next week.

I wrote that last week. I have a queasy feeling, following tonight's game (Sept 19) that "we got nuthin'." I really don't know why the Gamecocks are losing, this season. We have talent gushing from our ears. As Annie Hall once said, and I'm paraphrasing, again, "Oh well, oh well, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, oh boy, lah-lah.

SOME UPDATES ON STUFF MORE IMPORTANT THAN DANCE MOMS

When Fed Chair Yellen spoke to the press, yesterday, she scared the crap out of people who really know what's happening in the economy. Here's why:

Obama's lawn lichens have been telling everybody that the economy is just great, a statement which is a lie so clever that some people actually believe it.

1. We don't know the real story about inflation, because the counters don't count the things that are important to real people – people who buy their own gas and their own groceries and their own clothes and pay their own mortgage or rent. THEY DON'T COUNT THEM. In other words, the lawn lichens don't count the part that has inflated over 100% since Obama took office. (Gasoline HAS gone down, but not for market reasons, and will go back up when the politics are right.)

2. We're being lied to about employment. It is true that only 5.1% of working people who would be qualified to receive unemployment compensation have applied for it. The problem is that 34% of those who could work do not work. 34%!! Out of a country of 275 million possible workers, 93 million are not even looking - most because there are no jobs for them, many because they are coasting on welfare or SS disability..

3. Instead of counting Gross National Product (GNP), which would show enormous inflation because of our international debt, the Obama Lawn Lichens talk about the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This is important, because it not only hides real inflation, but also counts the stock market averages which can be manipulated by the Fed, which drives up the price of the Market on very low volume, as I have shown before.

There is a name for what is really happening - when inflation and job stagnation exist together – STAGFLATION.

This is exactly what happened during Jimmy Carter's administration, only he was honest about it.
 

THIS IS NO TIME FOR THE END OF THE WORLD!

There are rumors of the world coming to an end on Sept 28th. Certainly, the market stinks. However, I don't see how the end of the world is possible. Not yet! Not with Ridley Scott's latest gangbuster feature film, coming out in October.

HOLY CONUNDRUM!

I loathe people who quote inappropriate verses of Scripture. Most verses of Scripture quoted today are inappropriate and are usually employed in arguments against those who are loyal to the Faith. One thing is sure; most people use short "shotgun" quotations which fit whatever they want to say.

Jesus did warn against this sort of thing.. It is entirely possible that he foresaw the New Testament which grew out of the Torah and the Wisdom Books of the OT - Scripture which he knew intimately. People in his day were already doing the same thing with those words.

Fast forward to Rome ca 284 AD, when Christians were denied public office because they would not kowtow to the Cult of Caesar. Eventually many of them wound up as lion dinners. But why not? The swearing to the cult was the law. They broke the law. The Federal Judges of the Empire (so to speak) ruled in favor of the cult.

Fast Forward to today and the case of Kim Davis. The Supreme Court has ruled (with no real scientific evidence to back them up) that Homosexuals and Homosexual behavior are normative. Recently, they have ruled that Christian Marriage can be between a goat and a fish.. or a dog and a tree. (assuming that dogs, goats, trees, and fish are citizens.) Never mind what science and religion say, the highest court in the land has ruled, and thus we have new law which defies logic, science, and to many, the Word of God. Enter Ms. Davis.

In Ancient Rome, Kim Davis wouldn't just be censured or fired, she would be killed in one of many unpleasant ways. Before that, though, (depending on the year of the Roman Empire) for standing up for her belief, she would have subjected herself to exactly the kind of embarrassment, jail time, and removal from office which she has been subjected to today.

Are we the Romans, so hide-bound by one arm of our legal system that there is no room for another arm of that same system? Would it not be better NOT to tax or record marriages? Shouldn't marriage be between two people as THEY see fit? What is the government doing in God's business, anyway?

THAT made me think of a passage in scripture.. NOT a shotgun quote. I suggest you read the passage, and then ask yourself what you would do in Ancient Rome or today. Can you live in this world and not be swallowed up by it?

What a conundrum! To her, it is a satanic decision - a test which Jesus passed. To many others, it is law and we are a nation of laws. If government would not require marrying people to be licensed like dogs, we would not be here, now, nor judging where we dare not judge.
 

THE XIV AMENDMENT AND THE TRAGIC MISINTERPRETATION BY SUPPOSEDLY KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSONS

Do you read The Political Insider? I do. Many of the articles are written in the first person, which I always like, and everything in it can be researched. I also like the use of worthy pejoratives - especially if they are clever.

Anyway, here's some of that article..

Liberals who support Obama’s amnesty agenda love to defend “anchor babies.” That is the term that conservatives such as Donald Trump use to describe the citizenship given automatically to people born in the United States… even if their parents are illegal aliens.

But in 1866, the actual author of the post-Civil War Amendment – Senator Jacob M. Howard of Michigan – explained the real purpose of his amendment.

In 1866, Sen. Jacob Howard of Michigan made it perfectly clear that aliens who were in America could not deliver a citizen, simply because they were here.

Unfortunately for liberals, it was only for granting citizenship to recently freed African slaves, not foreigners. In fact, it didn’t even include Native Americans.

Howard wrote “that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.”

MORE POLITICAL SCIENCE

I'll make this short. They put Obama in front of Exit Glacier in Alaska for his phony photo putsch. They had to. It was one of only two which had receded this summer. It annually recedes in the summer and grows back again in winter. During the Ice Age, the Exit Glacier never joined with the continental ice sheet. Ever. But, of course, these are facts, not political science.
 

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS KILLS?

Is it possible that Political Correctness killed the news team in Virginia?

Before I go any further, let me define the term "Political Correctness." To be politically correct, one must adhere to a belief that individuals are not responsible for their own reactions; that, likewise, individuals are not responsible for their actions, either. All individuals should be entitled not to be offended. All individuals determine what is offensive. The more people one can enjoin to agree on the offense, the more real that offense becomes.

There's a very good reason why this man (woman?) should not be your next-door neighbor. He's CRAZY!

Those of you who took logic in college already know what I'm going to say as far as the logicality of Political Correctness. There is so little logic to PCness, it's almost insulting to consider the matter. Subjectivity cannot be quantified, and therefore cannot be logical. So, being PC means it's time to retire to the unicorn farm, where anything you want comes true.

As humorous as it is, Political Correctness has a very dark side.

People who cannot assert their own independence often clasp onto PCness in hopes of becoming important at least in their own minds. But there is a deeper darkness that has been generated by P.C. Two elements are outstanding in this instance: 1. Several million insane people are roaming our country (and others) free to assault and kill the innocent. 2. People feel too embarrassed to ask tough questions of minorities.

Several million insane people are roaming our country. Several years ago, progressives in the Psychological Freedom movement took an idea from some science fiction writers and declared that EVERYONE was a little bit nuts, and that most could, or at least SHOULD, be allowed to roam free. It was rude to call an insane person "crazy." A few years later, it was considered "ignorant" to call insane people "insane." As the nomenclature became more and more restrictive, the very idea of confining the insane for the sake of the populace's safety became "selfish," and "inhumane."

Well, now we know that this liberal progressive idea is, itself, insane. But instead of a movement to confine the nuts to the nuthouse, we blame the instruments of their insanity. "If he hadn't had a knife.. if she hadn't had a gun.." and so forth.

But, today, with our electronic abilities, we don't have to assign crazy people to the dungeons of old. There are plenty of "collegial" designs with open spaces, pleasant housing, and chips to assure a patient's location. Some criminally insane SHOULD BE killed. Killing a criminally insane murderer or pedophile creates a ZERO PERCENT recidivism rate. Do all these simple things, and watch the murder-by-crazies rate go down.

People feel too embarrassed to ask tough questions of minorities. I would be willing to bet real money that, somewhere along the line, some psychologist or registering psychological agent did not ask the Person of Color, who murdered the two Caucasian people in the news crew, the proper questions to determine his psychosis. At very least, whoever was in charge was afraid of being called a racist if he had labeled the guy's anger as psychologically questionable. So he, the crazy person, was able to buy a gun.

Political Correctness used to be considered just silly - colleges disallowing certain words because they were afraid of getting sued, etc.. Today, PC is a plague which has consequences far beyond those intended. PC paves the road to Hell with its good intentions, and people die, because of it.

UPDATE: There is a chance - a chance, mind you - that Erika MAY come back and reform. The European, which is generally the most accurate of all the long-range forecast models was just plain wrong. And so was the JAMSTEC, the three major US models, and The Ozzie model.

Anyway, as you can see, Erika is just a "Low" hanging around Florida. It COULD still fire back up again, so we'll have to wait. Nothing is more unseemly than an impatient weatherman.

Once again, we all have been painfully reminded that you can't forecast weather accurately more than four ½ hours in the mountains and six hours on the plains, you can make general guesses about large systems as much as a week away, as long as you're allowed not to expect too much from your prognostication.

Most of the Big Banks/Brokerages have their best accounts almost completely out of the stock market. The ones taking the biggest hit are retirement funds and individual mutual funds which turn around as agilely as the Titanic..

If you will have a huge loss, if you pull out of the stock market now, and you own solid stocks like Duke Energy or SCANA, or pure SC Municipal Bonds, DON'T SELL! If you have a 30% profit or greater, then sell now, and wait for the bottom to buy back in.

Did you buy gold and silver or property in a growth area? Good on you. Yes, the Obama administration will try to screw down your precious metals values, but simply DON'T LET the Commodities sellers put you in an account that THEY will hold for you.

Most importantly, put your seatbelts on. As the bus driver in Harry Potter says, "It's gonna be a bumpy ride!

PAPER TIGER PART 4

It seems like a million years ago, when we warned you about China being a "paper tiger." Remember what we warned might happen - that China will begin to call in her loans to America. Well, something interesting is happening. Because China has panicked, devaluing her currency (Yuan), she is paying her current debt service with US Treasury certificates.

This hurts the US economy in two ways. It makes the US Dollar stronger, killing trade with other countries who want to pay cheaper prices. It makes the currency of China's trading partners stronger, while making the Yuan even cheaper around the globe, driving more trade to China.

There is a third result and fourth result. China investors will sell US stocks to cover losses in China, also forcing down US market value, which, in turn, makes it more costly for the FED to drive the market up, which is looney, because Treasuries don't really have any value but as a commodity..

An audit of the FED would easily show that we have a sock puppet show.. but that's not going to happen while the thieves control the house they're stealing from.
 

DONALD, DUCK!

There is an old joke about a Yankee trader and a Southern Farmer. The Yankee cannot say a sentence without saying a "blue" word or phrase. The Southerner cannot say anything within a normal time period. You can look up the rest of the joke and the punch line. What this joke does is maintain clichés about People from the North and South - Yankees are crude, dishonest, and foul-mouthed - Southerners are crazy, dim-wits.

In my fairly long life, I have met many Yankees and many more Southerners. While it is true that Southerners live a slower-paced life and Northerners Speak faster, they are, generally, not only intelligent and cultured, but also interesting people.

So, when practically everyone I know is cussing mad at the Progessive/Liberal/Fascist agenda as expressed by the Obama Administration, it's easy to understand why another "cusser" is so politically popular.

No-one is saying that Donald Trump, Billionaire and Presidential Candidate is a Southern Gentleman. No-one. The real question is, is Donald Trump a Northern Gentleman, or even a Gentleman at all? Up until the post Fox Debate statement, I thought he was just a ruffian, hard-scrapple and a scrapper. No longer.

Before we "go there," and we will, we must also shame Megyn Kelly. Having been a TV journalist for 20 years and now, ten years writing every day for SwampfoxNews.com, I can absolutely assure you that Megyn's questions, aimed at both Carson and Trump were pejorative. What they were NOT was mean-spirited - that would attach a meanness which is not deserved. But there is no doubt that Ms. Kelly was scalp hunting. Let there be no misunderstanding, Megyn Kelly's idea of fairness involves humiliating the interviewee. The only reason she gets to skate free is that a small part of her questions had the air of authenticity, if not the fact. As one very experienced news director told me, "The proper attitude of a journalist is one of opposition."

Donald Trump shoots from the hip. That means 99% of the time, he comes off as aggressive, but canny and clever - even funny. But it also means that 1% of the time his mouth writes checks his brain cannot cash. That's what happened when he went further than the understandable rant against Kelly, and became gross, crude, and just plain uncouth.

You just don't go around saying what he said. If he had even stopped at blood coming out of her eyes, there would be no issue. But he didn't.

None of this, of course, means that Trump will no longer be popular - many, many people have no couth - it is drilled out them by public education and replaced with PC'ism, so that they have no idea WHY they are to do the things they do..

So Trump is a cad and Kelly is a wounded tigress. There are no winners here. There is, however, a Northern Gentleman. His name is Carson. He's also a brain surgeon.
 

GIBSON'S PARADOX IS NOW GIBSON'S AXIOM
..or, why economists have trouble seeing forests..

We now have an explanation for Gibson's paradox, a puzzle that has defeated mainstream economists from Fisher to Keynes and Friedman. The best way to illustrate the puzzle is through two charts, the first showing empirical evidence that interest rates correlate with the price level. And the second, showing no correlation between interest rates and the annual change in the price level, i.e. the rate of inflation.

The solution to the puzzle is simple: in free markets, interest rates are set by the demands of investing businesses which at the margin will pay a rate of interest based on whether their product prices are rising or falling: hence the correlation.

The second chart shows that central bank policies, which seek to control prices by setting interest rates, have no theoretical justification behind them. They are the consequence of blindly accepting the quantity theory of money, upon which macroeconomics is based.

A mistake made by central bankers is to believe that the price of money is its interest rate, instead of the reciprocal of the price of the products for which it is exchanged. Interest rates are money's time preference, which in free markets broadly reflects the average time preference of all the individual goods bought with money. The problem with monetarism is that it ignores this temporal aspect of exchange.

THE DEBATE(s)

While the Democrats were basically shamed into announcing that they really will have a debate, sometime, the Republicans were busy HAVING a debate. There were two debates - one at Five PM and one a nine. The late afternoon debate was among seven Republicans whose campaigns have not taken off or have just begun. The Evening Debate is among those Republicans who had the best name recognition and/or popularity. Our Senator was in the less popular group.

The Five O'Clock Debate

The best of the afternoon group (in my opinion) were Carly Fiorino, and Bobby Jindal.

Governor Jindal had the clearest Presidential ideas. Not only would he make every effort to undo all of the misguided calumnies of the current administration, he made clear points about how this would help bring America back to her former greatness.

Most impressive of all the candidates was Ms. Fiorino - not just because she is a take charge person, but because she had a confidence that some of the others seem to lack. At the end of the debate, am large majority of the reporters flocked to her in the "spin" room.

Rick Perry made a strong appearance, too. The glasses are working. He only made one flub, and that was miniscule.

It's not that the others - Santorum, Graham, Pataki, and Gilmore - were unimpressive. But they WERE really laid back or one-trick ponies. If there was a drinking game for every time Sen. Graham talked about taking the fight to the Islamicists, the entire room would have been on the floor. Lindsey seemed tired. On to the 9 o'clock debate.

The Nine O'Clock Debate

If there was a loser in the evening debate, it had to be Megyn Kelly, and to a lesser extent, Chris Wallace. Using the cloak of pretended journalistic innocence, Kelly began and continued to ask loaded questions to people she deemed weak subjects. She wound up looking like a dummy. Wallace tried to argue with a couple of candidates, not realizing that people cared more about their view than his. Kelly's aim seemed to be to embarrass as many people as possible. Chris didn't blindside the people he thought he would.

Who won?

Before we get to that, I have to say that when the so-called political experts were interviewed, after the debate, it was as if they sat in a different hall - so many were completely wrong, biased, or irrelevant impressions. The most interesting was the focus group which was impressed by Ted Cruz.

Gotta be a tie.. among them ALL.. except Ted Cruz. He was stirring, his style was .999 fine, but the Fox News people did not ask him as many questions and it made him seem weaker than he is.

Kasich, Carson, Rubio, and Huckabee were the most outstanding, followed by Bush, Paul, Walker, Trump, and Christie. We're only talking minute differences in audience acceptance, here.

The best bickering was between Christie and Paul. The question of government spying is important and they are true believers on their own sides. But, Carson had the best answer, and that is that America is too precious for us not to fight with every means - AND - we must fight to win.

Carson made the best wrap, at the end. The Huck had the next best wrap. Carson also seemed to be the candidate who surprised the most people with his eloquence. Personally, I feel justified in liking him better for the Presidency. But I would be satisfied with any of the entire field, except two. You may guess whom, as you like.

Overall, the Democrat choices look pathetic in comparison. And that is the real takeaway.
 

WHAT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TRAIN WRECK MIGHT LOOK LIKE

We warned you, years ago, about what would happen if we created too much debt - and certainly not just us. No-one listened. Everyone wanted to believe that things would be o.k. The government - Barack Obama's government - lied to us, showing us bogus statistics and phony market rallies with accompanying commodity markets manipulation. It made most of us think things were really great. Well.. some of us. Certainly, the Mainstream Media.

The only thing that has to happen for this house of cards to fall apart, at this point, is for an honest person to be elected President. The propped-up markets would fall, and the suppressed markets will skyrocket. The rats will leave the sinking ship of state, and the gerbils will start blaming each other.

WHAT THE MEDIA WON'T REPORT ABOUT ILLEGALS IN AMERICA

501 - SEE? 3? 4?

Some time around 1986 (During the Clinton Administration, for those of you who are digitally challenged), there was passed something(s) called 501 (c) 3 and 501 (c) 4.

Without trying to lose you in definitions that are, at best, sleep-inducing, let's just all agree that their definition of non-political is poorly defined, at best. Even the most hardened Progressive will admit to that.

Today, with little or no prior heralding, and almost no access, save that of Fox News online, Sen. Ted Cruz held a hearing in which some amazing things were revealed. Yes, IRS Commissioner Koskinen was caught in several prevarications or "misstatements of fact." But the real surprises came in casually mentioned facts.

Did you know that the Department of Justice did not even take the ball up in order to drop it, when it came to investigating the IRS for using their power to restrict activities of conservative groups? Were you aware that there is an email from the hiding former IRS operative, Lois Lerner, which basically makes her out to be the villain in most of these affairs? No? Not even?

Well, of course not. While pleading that there WERE "studies" of the egregious offenses of the Obama Administration, NOTHING has been done. The most amazing thing that was mentioned today, almost off the cuff, that the finger of truth is pointing evermore directly at the President, himself, as the originator of the IRS offenses. If true, that would be a change in both the direction of the origination of who is giving and getting that finger.
 

REVENGE OF THE RADICAL MIDDLE

Formerly known as the Silent Majority, then the Reagan Democrats, these voters had supported Ross Perot in 1992, and were hoping the Texas billionaire would run again. Voters in the radical middle, Newsweek wrote, "see the traditional political system itself as the country’s chief problem."

GENUINELY FUNNY

If you read this column with any regularity, you know we're pretty hard on our Senior Senator. But this one time, considering the self-deprecation vs. The Donald's Giant Phone Number Ego Trip, and especially this week, Sen. Graham has responded with something genuinely funny. Watch.

IT'S 1938 ALL OVER AGAIN

Dennis Prager is one of the smarter people on planet Earth. When he says something, it's usually after he has researched and internally discussed it, so that his conclusions are well thought out. Other people have come to the conclusion that we have reached a "Munich" moment, but you will not get a reasoned out explanation as well as Prager's.

We say that evil is dark. But this metaphor is imprecise. Evil is actually intensely bright, so painfully bright that people look away from it. Many even deny its existence.

Why? Because once people acknowledge evil’s existence, they know they have to confront it. And most people prefer not to confront evil.

Neville Chamberlain, in 1938, had the best of intentions calling his agreement with Hitler "Peace for Our Time," and millions died because of it. Barack Obama may have the best of intentions, too.

That is what led to World War II. Many in the West denied the darkness of Nazism. They looked the other way when that evil could have been stopped and then appeased it as it became stronger.

We are reliving 1938. British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain went to Munich to negotiate with Adolf Hitler. He left believing Hitler’s promises of peace in exchange for Germany being allowed to annex large parts of Czechoslovakia. Upon returning to England, Chamberlain announced, “Peace for our time.”

The American and European negotiations with Iran have so precisely mirrored 1938 that you have to wonder how anyone could not see it.

The Nazi regime’s great hatred was Jews. Iran’s great hatred is the Jewish state. The Nazis’ greatest aim was to exterminate the Jews of Europe. Iran’s greatest aim is to exterminate the Jewish state. Nazi Germany hated the West and its freedoms. The Islamic Republic of Iran hates the West and its freedoms. Germany sought to dominate Europe. Iran seeks to dominate the Middle East and the Muslim world.

And exactly as Britain and France appeased Nazi Germany, the same two countries along with the United States have chosen to appease Iran.

IT'S GOTTA BE THE HEAT

When Republicans are in charge of things, we call these days when the summer takes over from good sense, "The Silly Season." People, whom you would never expect to do so, say the dumbest things and expect people to agree. NOAA, f'r'instance, is calling July the "hottest month on record," which is silly, because they don't count some of the very hottest days, and have actually screwed with the summer temperatures, LOWERING them, so that it would look like it's hotter, now.

Or, how about, when a kid in Chattanooga, obviously programmed by Islamicist terrorists, does what his Islamicist-inspired programming tells him to do, in the name of Allah, it's all about deflection and being oh, so careful, as if the event is de novo. Even the CIA has warned, even if subtly, that certain of our children are being programmed to shoot up a gun-free zone. Why the silly surprise? Military can't be armed and should take off their uniforms and huddle in a shop? Silly.

Democrats are eating each other, especially the far-far-far Left - those who want not to work for a living but want to be paid a "fair" wage for nothing. They're giving Bernie Sanders - the only one who actually believes people should be given wages for no work - a hard time.

Trump Trumping.

Anyway, I'm thinking that it's the heat. People have really bad memories when it comes to weather. In a way, that's a good thing, because it means we are gaining more and better control of the way the weather effects us. But it's also instructive about why people can be so different when the weather is hot.

FOOLS' SILVER (AND GOLD)

There is a puzzle which silver collectors believe they have solved, but big banks desperately want you to ignore. Just this past weekend, the US Mint, which produces half the silver coinage consumed on the North American Continent (Canada produces the other half), ran out of silver coins. At the same time, the price of silver coins fell. That's right, FELL.

The beautiful March of Dimes 2015 Silver Dollar with FDR and Dr. Jonas Salk. They ran out of silver and can't print any more for a little while. Silver is actually scarce. But the price is at historic lows.

How is this possible? What about the Velocity of Money? What about Price following Supply?

What savvy Silver investors are coming to realize is that the Big Banks which sold them their silver, can't deliver it, because THEY DON'T HAVE IT. And what's happening is that, by selling silver that doesn't exist, you can depress the price – as long as you don't have to deliver it.

And they don't deliver it. Instead, Big Banks sell ignorant investors a piece of paper, SAYING they own a certain amount of silver. It's called paper Silver (or paper Gold). Real money has been paid to Big Banks in return for a piece of paper.

Ponzi. Was, is, and always will be. With the silver dollar, the government ran the ponzi scheme - the silver wasn't there, either. Today, the paper is a Big Bank document.

As long as not too many people ask to have their paper converted into actual silver, the lie remains invisible. If EVERYONE were to ask for their actual specie at the same time, the Big Bank COULD NOT REMAIN SOLVENT.

In case you didn’t already spot it, this setup is called a "Ponzi Scheme." And this is the reality, right now. Right now, the Big Banks can not cover their precious metal debt. Incidentally, neither can the FED or the IMF.

Has YOUR broker put you in an account that "holds" your silver or gold for you? It's the same thing. Truly. Try to take possession of your gold or silver – I challenge you. If you're lucky, you might get some. If not, you won't be able to get any, depending on where you are in line. In many cases, your contract specifically states you CAN'T take possession!

Better yet, don't be stupid. Take possession from the beginning. While you can.

I got an email from a climatologist acquaintance of mine, today. He wanted to know if I was just kidding or not. I told him I was deadly serious and that he should prepare himself. But he was glad to hear that it would be at least 12 years before what I said came true.

The South Can Learn from Japan

Why do you think the Japanese film audiences revel in a time of Samurai and Shoguns, Katana and Sepuku , strictly adhered to loyalty, and absolute courtesy? One reason is that their ethos exists on a river of contradictions. The noble robber, the pure hooker/Geisha - real neo-classicism with a bowl of rice and fish.

Twice, Gojira , pure force of nature kinda saves Japan after pretty much leveling the city of Peace. Rip-snorter. But there is more. Savvy Japan watchers will recognize the symbolism as pre war - a time of honor. - Chushingura and the 47 Ronin - a time before the terror of WWII vented on China. Perfect example.

My point is simple. If we southerners write about the mutual struggle of blacks and whites in the horror that was reconstruction, not just one or the other, then goodness will follow and strengthen the arts, as will every South Carolinian.

I have great faith that we will make a great contract of faith and mutual certainty.
